The Outlawz Progressive Challenge from We Are 3
I didn't mean to let this go until nearly the end, but I do find that seeing others color an image for a Progressive Challenge I go from wanting to copy everyone's gorgeous takes, to wanting to make sure I don't, so I tend to have a hard time deciding. The adorable image for the Outlawz June Progressive Challenge is from WeAre3 and is the Color Me Garden-Flower Delight. Since I've been sort of consumed with party plans for the 4th, I finally decided on red, white and blue. I've colored with Copics and did add a second bow to her head so I could fussy cut and prop up the edges and found the perfect scrap of a bandana print DP before matting in blue. Too cute, eh?

The Outlawz Progressive +
Okay, it's kinda getting down to the wire for our trip and I still have LOTS to do. I actually colored and created it in the wee hours of this morning because I couldn't sleep. This cutie is for the Outlawz March Progressive challenge with the adorable "Catch of the Day" image by Ann Fenton of Anne's Digital Art. Thanks you, Anne! He's colored with Copics and I've added some clear Wink of Stella ( my new favorite product) to the fish so it sparkles.
I also managed to loosely follow the new Outlawz Wednesday Sketch so WooHoo for that. It's not the last day and for once I tried to be a bit creative. The image and mat is cut with Double Stitched Rectangles from Kat Scrappiness. The clouds are Spellbinders to which I've added teeny bug brads from Queen and Co. (so fitting for a boy,I think) and sun die is from Verve. The sticker sentiment is from Carta Bella.
I'm also adding this to the Outlawz Twisted Thursday Seasons challenge (Summer), the DL.Art March Linky Challenge, Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #78 AG, QKR Stampede #288 AG, TTRCD Week of March 20th, and the Southern Girls #180 Die Cuts.

Easter Parade
It's the last day for the Progressive Challenge on the Bloobel Stamps FB Group page and of course I'm cutting it close. This time those who participated last month could choose one of 6 stamps for their free one and the rest were discounted for awhile if you wanted to purchase more. Are you kidding me?!? OF COURSE I wanted them ALL and hoped to get them all on one project but it didn't turn out that way. So here are the cute Easter Parade Marty, Easter Parade Bunneh, and Easter Parade Ralph (that was my Daddy's name) all set for the Easter Parade in their decorated hats.
Here's a closeup of these cuties, all colored with Copics. The challenge was to decorate their Easter bonnets and I had a fun time using brads (honestly I have tons of them and they never get used, until now. WooHoo!), a bit of twine, a snippet of the die cut grass (new dies from Gina Marie just in time) a found feather, adhesive pearl and a little birdie cut and colored from the MS Birds on a Wire punch. Naturally, Marty's hat is the most elaborate because he is a KITTY and you know I love me some KITTIES! Can't wait to use the rest of the Easter Parade bunch, but it won't be today. You can see them all (and more) at the Bloobel Shop.
I'm also entering this in the DL.Art March Linky Challenge, Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #54 AG, the Outlawz Monday Greeting AG challenge, Creative Knockouts AG and Simon Says Wednesday AG.

Bloobel February Progressive Challenge
Cutting it close, but so what else is new? Finally finished my version of Bake Me A Cake for the February Progressive Challenge at Bloobel Stamps. Hey, I would have waited until tomorrow, but I have a dentist appointment. (Procrastination is my middle name.) You know how all that works, don'tcha? Well, I signed up and participated in January so I got a code to get Bake Me A Cake for FREE. If you didn't, you can purchase the stamp HERE to join in, but it ends TOMORROW so chop chop. Part of my hang up was that her plate was empty but she comes with a whole page of cake layers and fun stuff to add and making up my mind was quite a problem. I'm sure I'll be using her over and over with more of her goodies, though.
Here's the closeup, colored with Copics. I call this subtly zombified. Only her eyes are that of a crazed psycho killer. The rest is pretty much standard, don'tcha think? Okay, there's a little blood spatter on her apron, but who doesn't occasionally have accidents in the kitchen. So there you have it. Yea, ME!
P.S. Bloobel Stamps just started a Troo Bloo Monthly Subscription for only $5.00 per month. Read about it all HERE and see the cool stamps you get for February if you sign up BEFORE the end of the month. That's TOMORROW!!!!! If you miss it, you'll have to wait 2 months before these cuties land in the store. You also get a coupon for $1.50 off any stamp you choose for the month. Sign up any time though and cancel any time as well. (This is totally unsolicited. I just think it's such a DEAL. If you love quirky, you can't get any better than this.)
Join the FB Group HERE so you don't miss all the excitement.
I'm adding this to the Outlawz Monday Greeting Anything goes Challenge, the DL.Art February Linky challenge, Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge #52 AG, and Simon Says Wednesday AG.

Bloobel Stamps Progressive Challenge
Well, it's pretty obvious that I love me some Bloobel Stamps and this is for the January (very first) Progressive Challenge. Early in January Lisa invited members of her FB Group to sign up for a special Progressive Challenge Newsletter that would include a coupon to download the Progressive image for free. Those who downloaded the image then have the entire month to color or create a project with it. Those who downloaded the image with the coupon MUST do something by the end of January and share it in one or any number of specified places to get the next month's image for free. Those who did not sign up or missed the free download deadline still can enter by purchasing I MUST PROTEST, fill in the sign and upload accordingly (meaning, if you hurry, you can still get next month's image for free by purchasing her HERE).
True to form I procrastinated, partly because a number of my protest slogans might have gotten me kicked off FB, 😉 but also because I get a bit discombobulated seeing all the great work that came before me, so I had a hard time deciding what to say. I finally came up with this and couldn't resist adding a little friend, called Big Message because the only thing better than coloring one Bloobel is coloring TWO! Couldn't decide on a tee shirt color for I Must Protest either, so I finally slapped on a smiley face and added the annoying sentiment "Have a Nice Day". That sucker has been around since I was a teen and I'm less than thrilled that it has endured. Ya think this is too sarcastic for a birthday card...??? NAH!!!!
I'll be adding this to the Bloobel January 2017 Progressive Challenge, the DL.Art Thankful Thursday ATG Challenge, Lil Patch of Crafty Friend #50 ATG, 613 Avenue Create ATG/ Totally Technical (merging images) and Simon Says Wednesday ATG.

CDAC Progressive Challenge
Clearly, I'm having a problem crafting. Seems like I can only concentrate fully on one thing at a time, and lately it's been eating healthy and exercising my butt off (I wish!) which takes a major chunk out of my day and my mojo has suffered (BIG TIME!) When I finally actually have time to craft, I'm scurrying from blog to blog and challenge to challenge and although there are a million I WANT to participate in, it seems I can't make up my mind WHICH to do first (so I end up doing nothing). I've been talking about balance in my life, but I certainly haven't found it yet and I'm feeling terribly guilty now about my lack of posting.
So anyway, I got an email from CDAC talking about their Progressive Freebie Challenge Series 2, which is just starting now and decided to give it a try. Not a member of CDAC? No problem, just ASK to join. Then join the Progressive challenge Group and WooHoo! You're provided with a bunch of free images from a number of fab digi artists and all you have to do is use one to make a project and you have 2 weeks to do it. As long as you participate during each round, you continue to get the images for free (and if for some reason you just don't make it one round, you can buy in the round you missed for just $1.00). The payoff? Complete all 6 rounds and you will be entered in the fabulous grand prize drawing. Fun, huh? Since crab season started yesterday in CA, I just HAD to use the cute crab from Tiffany Doodles along with the birthday sentiment from Sending Treasures (that I modified a bit to go with the crab theme). HeeHee! These qualify me to enter the My Partner in Crafting Crime Freebie Challenge.

That crab just begged to be paper pieced so I'm entering it in the 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge this week and I added some lidded google eyes as well. The sentiment was cut with my Nesties labels One and the DP's are from an ancient DCWV stack. The shell border is a Martha Stewart punch.
I've popped parts of the crab as well as the mats and done a number on some of them with my Distrezz-it-All to make it more masculine. The twine holding the shell charms are looped through eyelets done with my Cropadile. These 3 different embellishments, along with the 2 patterned papers ( the large nauticul mat and the barely visible diagonal striped mat behind the small blue one) and one image qualifies for the Crazy Challenge Recipe this week. So yea! I'm set for round one, (although I just might make some more cards using the other adorable stamps I received in this round) and although this took me far longer than I ever anticipated, at least I finished something. If you've never played at CDAC, you must check it out. Lots of good stuff going on there all the time and it's a very supportive community.
