Halloween Treat Box for Day 3

Well, I'm 3 for 3 so far on the fabulous 2018 Cat Lovers Blog Hop at Her Peaceful Garden and this time I'm sharing a cute Halloween treat box I made with a gable box die from Momenta decorated with a sweet kitty die from my dear friend Fikreta Posavec, of Bad Kitty's Craft Room who is a sponsor of the Hop.  Thanks so much, Fiki!  Added some fun googly eyes to the kitty and a jeweled belly button (all sorts of places those jewels end up, eh?  LOL)  The candy clip is from Target, the Trick or Treat Bag from JoLee's and snippet of crinkle ribbon from DL.Art.  The glitter DP is ancient from my stash, but purr-fect for my project.

New release from Sandra Caldwell " Bearly Dracula"

This is my second week of guesting for Sandra Caldwell of the babycakesdnd Etsy Shop and I'm so excited to show you her adorable new image #1034 "Bearly Dracula".  You know I love me some Halloween, and bears for that matter, and Sandra has a whole bunch of them, for every occasion HERE.  I thought Bearly Dracula would make a cute topper for a thank you treat box.  It gave me the opportunity to use a pun that not only references Dracula, but bears as well. "Fang you beary much" is framed with a die from Memory Box.  Gotta love those paper mache coffins, made especially fab with a die cut topper from the Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge, and no vampire image is complete without some MS Drippy Goo blood now, is it?

Here's a closeup of #1034 Bearly Dracula.  He was easy and fun to color with Copics and fussy cut and pop on his coffin.  I made him kind of pale, he's a vampire, after all, but resisted the urge to make him sparkle.  Real vampires don't sparkle now, do they?  Check out other fun projects with Sandra's new stamps on the Sandra Caldwell Stamp Fans FB page.

Dilly Beans Owl Challenge with Cricut Artiste

WooHoo!  Our challenge this week at the Dilly Beans Designers and Challenge Blog is OWLS!  Whoooo doesn't LOVE owls, eh?  And Megan has so many cute ones at the SHOP  (along with a fab new Halloween release that you don't want to miss).  I decided I wanted to do something different than a card, so I pulled out my Cricut and CTMH Artiste cartridge and cut the owl treat box on page 77.  I thought this would be perfect with #304 Heart Owl (scroll down the page to find him and his friends).  The tree branch they're sitting on is Dilly Beans #302 Tree Branch #1 (further down the page).

I printed the little guy 3 times and fussy cut his feet heart and body to add some dimension.  There's glossy accents on his eyes along with some adhesive beads to make them POP.  The digis were all colored with Copics and after fussy cutting the branch I colored the back side too since it showed from behind.  I love combining Cricut with digis.  It gives the project a whole different feel.

The box itself only has the scalloped eyes to specifically go with that cut.  However, on page 76 in Artiste, there's another owl with all sorts of layering features so I sized them in DS to give him a little more personality.  His wings and tummy feathers were embossed with my Cuttlebug and the sentiment was computer generated.  Yeah, I know, 3 of my last 4 Cricut projects were from Artiste, but I'm lovin' this cart.  I'd say it'a a "must have" and if you don't, please hop over to my dear friend Susan's CTMH website and have a look around.
