Just a quickie to play along with the SOG Clean and Simple Challenge. You know CAS is ALWAYS a challenge for me. I used Shy Mae and printed her on kraft card stock. I really love how the Copics are muted and take on a whole different character. And for some reason I associate kraft with CAS so I cut the card base in it too, as well as the sentiment, which is a clear stamp by Studio G. The scalloped edge is a punch by EK Success. The striped mat is from the Julianne Designer Mat Pad from K&Co. I added a it of twine from The Twinery and THAT'S IT! Gee, it only took me 3 hours to complete. LOL Now I just may go enjoy the sunshine. xx

SOG Digi Day Early Bird Challenge
Well, now for sure there's no question how I spent my Saturday. LOL Besides the fun Some Odd Girl Digi Day event (which happens the 2nd Saturday of very month, now at the NEW SNR site) I managed to do BOTH of the challenges. WooHoo! Scroll down for the coloring on kraft challenge. WAY cool! And this is the Early Bird (announced the day before digi day) Challenge from the fabulously talented DT member Zarah, which is make a bookmark. The base of my book mark was cut on my Cricut from the Animal Kingdom cartridge. I just used the plain one and cut it twice and glued it together for strength. Then I cut a scalloped and regular circle with my Nesties and attached on either side. I colored up Sigh Mae, one of the New Releases at the Some Odd Girl Shop, fussy cut her out and popped her on the bookmark.

Some Odd Girl Digi Day AND Weekly Challenge
Well, I've had a ball all morning over at the new SNR site celebrating Some Odd Girl Digi Day. There were games, challenges, discounts and all around FUN! This time I even managed to participate in the Saturday Challenge by DT member Caz to print and color your image on kraft card stock. WooHoo! That's a new one on me so I just HAD to try it. I chose Valentine Tobie and I really love how soft the Copics look when coloring on kraft. Who knew? The DP is Chelsea's Place by Making Memories. I added 2 MS punched hearts (to total 3) so I could also enter it in the Weekly challenge at the SOG Challenge Blog as well. Thought the sentiment was fitting for a shy little guy like Tobie, don't you? Now let's see if I can manage the Early Bird bookmark challenge too.

Oh Alice! and Some Odd Girl Challenges
I've finally started my Christmas decorating but I still couldn't stay away for the craft room. I've missed so many Oh Alice! challenges and this week the challenge is to make our own flowers. I just received a Die-namics Rolled Rose die from MFT that I saw on my dear friend Enfys' Blog and just had to have. Tried it out straight away, using the plastic sack from my grapefruit and regular copy paper. (I thought is had an interesting pattern/texture). I used my Xyron to adhere the pieces together and thought it turned out pretty darn cute, especially after adding some adhesive pearls (that I colored with my Copics) and a little red bow. Since Some Odd Girl is sponsoring the challenge, and I also wanted to join in on the Some Odd Girl "Girly" challenge, I thought I'd do double duty and used Mae as Alice Pose and colored her with Copics. I collect Alice images, and Some Odd Girl has some of the cutest.
To make the mat I used my new Freshly Picked Cuttlebug Companion Folder and sanded the embossing to make the mushrooms stand out. The center is cut with a Spellbinder's Labels Seven Die. The frame is popped and I've embossed the inside mat with the Cuttlebug Seeing Spots folder. The lattice border is a Martha Stewart Punch. Not pink and frilly, but I hope this is girly enough.

Bah!Humbug! Feelin' the Blues and SOG Window Challenge
The SOG Blog hop goes on 'til 6:00pm EST today so if you're looking for that, please scroll down and comment there (not that I wouldn't want you to comment here, too, but I don't want you to miss a chance for the prize). This just happens to be a Some Odd Girl card as well. How about that!

This is the last Bah! Humbug! challenge of the year and I am a bit blue (sniff sniff) but I again want to thank the gals for such wonderful inspiration all year (and the opportunity to make Christmas cards year 'round without looking daft.) I'll be back in January to do it all again with you, so have a fabulous holiday season. I'm hoping there's enough blue on this card to qualify for the Feeling the Blues Challenge. Ann, Max, and Irene have been pretty lenient with me and I appreciate it muchly. LOL Honestly though, not many other colors except adorable Some Odd Girl Snowy Mae's red hair. (Amazing how many of my stamps end up with red hair! Go figure.) I used Cricut Design Studio for the card and cut out mat for the window to enter this week's Some Odd Girl Window challenge as well. I'm hearing from my buddies in Chicago (as well as everybody in the UK) that the white stuff is falling and it's making me miss it, big time. What better time to snuggle by the fire and get in the Christmas spirit? I've used the bigger 5x7 Cuttlebug folder to emboss the snowflakes on the front AND inside and used Nesties and punches for the various snowflakes and (big surprise) a bunch of adhesive pearls for embellies. (the blue ones I colored with my Copics.)
Inside you get a better view of Snowy Mae. The sentiment is computer generated and cut with my Nesties and I've added more flakes and a border punched with an older (unidentifiable) punch.

Some Odd Girl Hol-ODD-day Blog Hop
Welcome to the first Some Odd Girl Hol-ODD-day Blog hop. Kristy and the Odd Girls are having this hop this holiday season not only to show their love for all of their Oddies, but also to include us. So hop through the list and be sure to comment at every stop because the Odd Girls have some prizes to give away but you have to complete the list to be entered. If you've come from Jennifer's Blog you're on the right track, but if not, you'll want to start at the Some Odd Girl Blog so you don't miss a thing.

Although I'm sure you'll see many fabulous holiday projects today, I decided to make a thank you card instead. I've used Tobie and Buddie and Tiny Princess Tia on the front. They're both colored with Copics and fussy cut and popped on some fabby paper from Creative Imaginations that I've printed with the sentiment. The background was so perfect that all I used for embellies were a few Prima flowers. The sweet innocence of these images reminds me of a children's book so I've showcased them accordingly.
Inside is Kiss a Prince Tia. I think the 3 of these adorable images tell a little love story and would make a sweet thank you for that special someone who has given you the perfect gift, don't you? BTW, all Tia images are on sale through Dec 3rd so be sure and check them all out HERE. Now hop along to Marcie's Blog but don't forget to comment to be eligible for the prizes. Butterfly Kisses
So do you believe it, a non Halloween, Thanksgiving OR Christmas card? LOL I planned to enter this in a challenge for Some Odd Girl Digi Day but I was too late. I used Kissy Mae who's blowing lots of butterfly kisses to her Sweetie. Isn't she adorable? She's colored with Copics and fussy cut and popped. The butterflies are punched with various MS punches and the paper is Me&My Big Ideas. I do think it's "girly girl" enough to enter in the Stampotique Designers Challenge and although I prefer to use my Stampotique stamps for those, it's not required this time. (Hopefully I can do another using them later).
The mat is cut with my Nesties Mega Ovals Large and popped. The sentiment is computer generated and cut with Labels One. Flowers are prima. xx
