Butterfly Kisses for Everyday Cricut and the Winners!

Well it's Friday, and this ends my week as Guest Designer on Everyday Cricut. I sure enjoyed my time there and again want to thank Melanie and Joy for having me. My fancy card Friday post is from Straight From the Nest and features the Butterfly Kisses sentiment. To read all about this card please click HERE. I apologize for not being able to visit most of my favorite blogs this week and for not participating in some of my favorite challenges. Although I've known about this guest Designer Spot for months, I'm a terrible procastinator (wish I were different but that's how I roll) so it's been a REALLY BUSY WEEK! I'm expecting beautiful weather today and my DH has been wanting to go out to lunch since last Sunday and I've been putting him off. Imagine me sipping wine at the Wente Golf Course grill today around 1:00 pm because that's where I'll be. Wish you could join me.

There will be a .cut file available for this card as well as my Twinkle Twinkle frame in the near future so please keep checking back. If you click on the Custom Crops designer blinkie on my sidebar you can see ALL of the articles and .cut files currently available and they're free, of course.

And now what you've REALLY been waiting for. The winner of the Just Because Background Downloadable Printable Stamp Set from The Cutting Cafe is...

# 68 Diane who wrote: Very elegant and gorgeous!

and the winner of the K & Co paper pad is ...

# 128 Jessie who wrote:

I love the elegant Black and White card. One thing I would love to see added in your instructions is construction time. It would help to know how ling it took for an experienced crafter so the newbie know how much time to set aside.

Well Jessie, that's a tough one. If you count how long it took just to pick out the paper, I'd say it took all day long. LOL No seriously, I'm a terrible one to ask. With all of the interruptions, changes I make midstream, hunting for stuff I just laid down a minute ago on the table and floor...well, it's imposssible to really gage. Also, if I'm using Design Studio, sometimes the design alone takes hours or even days if I need a break from it. Better to ask someone without ADD. I'd have to be truthful and scare you off.

Congratulations Diane and Jessie! Please email me at dlmundinger (at) yahoo (dot) com so I can get your prizes to you. Thanks you everyone for your sweet comments. I sure hope you continue to visit me here because I love having you. xxD

(I'm) Five Layout for Everyday Cricut

So are all my buddies in SHOCK again? Yup, you're seeing right, I did a layout!!!! I don't know what came over me, but reading the reader's comments on Everyday Cricut made me fool around and I think I'm starting to like this. Other than the hand from A Child's Year and the 2 inner mats from George, all of the cuts are from Graphically Speaking. LOVE those number borders and the jumbled words. My dear friend Leah has always loved this cartridge (and borrowed it often before she got her own, hee hee) and she is a scrapbooker extraordinaire. this happens to be a layout for a child, but Graphically Speaking has alot of great cuts for adults and I almost did one using one of my fave pix of DH on a back packing trip that hangs right here in my scrap room. Another day perhaps.
Had to laugh. I tried to carry the "5" theme throughout the layout: 5 buttons, 5 beads of each letter in the "five" word jumble and there in a closeup there are 6 adhesive beads on the letter "I". Thanks Michelle for pointing that out. All fixed now in real life. Trust me, it was a long day. LOL Alot of people are asking about those beads. I usually get mine at Michael's and they're their own Recollections brand. $1.99 per pack for 3 sizes and they come in loads of colors as well as pearls and rhinestones. I've got a whole drawer full because I stock up every time I go, especially when I've got one of those fab 20% off entire order coupons. Couldn't live without them! I've listed all of the sizes for this layout on Everyday Cricut. Also, for those who were asking, the .cut file for the criss cross cards is now available HERE at Custom Crops. The Baby frame is coming next so be sure to come back.

Twinkle Twinkle Baby Frame

Just LOOK at that FACE! That's my dear friend Margie's newest grandson Angelo and she graciously allowed me to use his photo for my Everday Cricut project for today. I'd been dying to use my new Nursery Rhymes cartridge because I LOVE those darling silhouettes. The star is from George and I encourage any of you who never had a baby bug (like me) to go ahead and invest in that cart because it really has THE BEST basic shapes of anything out there. For some reason the shadow of the star looked better to me than the regular cut so I used it for all of the frame layers and just decreased the size by 1/4 inch each time while increasing the size of the inner circle to get the layered mat effect. I seem to be on a bit of a blue and yellow kick here (remember the Mother's Day card HERE?) Well I knew I had the perfect paper (thank heaven I could FIND it with the giant MESS in my craft room) with the little stars and moon so I just couldn't help myself.
Anyway, read all about my Frame HERE at Everyday Cricut, and if you haven't already be sure to scroll down a bit to enter to win my K& Co paper pad and the Just Because Background and Sentiment Downloadable Printable Stamps from The Cutting Cafe. A number of my DT sisters have sets they are giving away so be sure to check it out. My winners will be announced Friday so you all come back now, ya hear?

Criss Cross Cards x 2 for Everyday Cricut and a Giveaway! (.Cut File Available)

Did you know there are criss cross cards for the cutting on Tie the Knot? Well I sure didn't until I started browsing through my manuals looking for fun stuff for Everyday Cricut. These are my Tuesday cards and I hope you like. As you can see, I did another cream and back card because I just think they're sooo elegant and that gorgeous monogram so inspired me. On a lighter note, I did the same card in picnic colors using "Celebrate" from the From the Nest cartridge. To find out more about them, click HERE to visit Everyday Cricut. And, just because I love you guys, I'm offering an 8 x 8" pad of this elegant ivory and black K & Co paper so you can make one too. Just leave me a comment. The winner will be announced Friday.
