2018 Cat Lovers Hop Day 6
Well I'm sorry to say it's the final day for linking up projects in the 2018 Cat Lovers Hop at Her Peaceful Garden. I wish I'd planned in advance and had more projects to share but that's the way it goes. Thanks so much to Janis for the incredible amount of work that goes into the Hop and the fabulous sponsors and others offering prizes on their blogs. Gotta say I've had a ball seeing everyone's projects but glad we have another day to comment, since there's always a flurry of activity at the end.
My final project is again real stamping. I apologize to all my digi artist friends for not managing to color any of your gorgeous images but I'm in desperate need of new glasses and the eye strain is taking it's toll. Those who know me know that coloring is generally my "thing" so I'm really bummed I couldn't manage any during the Hop.
This cutie is Tabby Cat from Carmen's Veranda and I've stamped him with Faded Jeans Distress Ink. The card is in monochromatic blues to enter the Outlawz Tuesday Color Challenge. Not quite the same, but as close as I could get.
I tried to do an "artsy" background with a number of different mediums but they didn't work out so when hubby was on his way to Home Depot I asked him to nab me some paint swatches. Trimmed and matted them several times, fussy cut the image and added a die cut sentiment and there ya go.
Of course I'm also adding this to the Lost Coast/Carmen's Veranda Cats and Dogs Challenge, SUYP Furrything Goes/Meowloween Challenge, the DL.Art October Linky Challenge, ...

Another for the 2018 Cat Lovers Blog Hop
I'm really enjoying all the the fabulous cat projects being linked up to the 2018 Cat Lovers Blog Hop at Her Peaceful Garden and crawling a bit out of my comfort zone and trying things I don't do often (enough) like real stamping. Yesterday was my day to stamp but I'm just getting some of the projects finished and blogged today. Here's a tag, or bookmark, using the beautiful Star Cat rubber stamp by Lost Coast Designs, a sponsor of the Hop. I stamped on a small scrap of digital paper from another project. The celestial background seemed purr-fect for this kitty. I left off any sentiment because although he looks like he's on his way to kitty heaven, I'd prefer to think he's just star gazing.
I'm also entering this in the Lost Coast/Carmen's Veranda Cats and Dogs Challenge, SUYP Furrything Goes/Meowloween Challenge, Crafty Animals #19 AG w/Animals, the DL.Art October Linky Challenge, the Outlawz Festive Friday AG...

2018 Cat Lovers Hop Day 4
It's Day 4 of the 2018 Cat Lover's Hop over at Her Peaceful Garden and I decided to go out of my comfort zone and do a bit of REAL stamping. There are so many fabulous stamp companies sponsoring this Hop that I think it would be fitting to show them that although I mostly use digis, I've actually got a TON of rubber and clear stamps and it's about time I start using them, eh? Practice makes PURR-fect, after all.
So here's a mini Happy Birthday gift bag using one of the Party Cat Set from Lost Coast Designs. I'm getting a little more comfortable using real stamps since getting a Misti, but this gorgeously detailed cat stamped purrfectly first time. YAY! kept the color scheme sort of gender neutral and the black and white seems to suit the majority of my friends, considering our age. LOL The small bags (from Mike's) work well for a number of things, including gift cards. The Happy Birthday die is from Simon Says Stamp and I punched the paw print in a Pin Point Balloon die cut from Poppystamps.
I'm also entering this in the Lost Coast/Carmen's Veranda Cats and Dogs Challenge, SUYP Furrything Goes/Meowloween Challenge, 2 Crafty Critter Crazies AG/w Critter (4/5), Crafty Animals #19 AG w/Animals, the DL.Art October Linky Challenge, The Outlawz Festive Fridays Birthday theme...

Wicked Wednesday Wing It Challenge Using Stampotique
See, I told ya I'd be back with another ATC for this week's Wicked Wednesday Wing It Challenge. This one uses a Stampotique stamp from Daniel Torrente called Oh My Dear. I did some masking and added some wings from one of the Mini Flying Ladies from Lost Coast Designs. The song lyrics were computer generated and I used Distress Inks on the background and even flicked some watered down reinker with a toothbrush because I'm too chicken to mist like my sweet friend Jenn so successfully does. Left the rubber stamps uncolored 'cause I like them that way. I'm also entering this in the Atc's and Cards with Attitude Anything Goes Challenge, the SDC #77 Let's Get Sentimental challenge and the Stampotique Guest Designer Challenge.

Jezzie's Birthday Card to Mommy
So Jezzie came in all frantic. "Mommy, I need a birthday card, RIGHT NOW!" "Okay, for who?" "Well, for YOU, Mommy, who else?" "Ummm, doesn't Daddy usually take care of that for you and Goliath?" "Well yes, Mommy, but last year he bought a card that had DOGS on it. He thought they were cats but they were really DOGS!!!!" "Good point." "Now Mommy, I will tell you just what I want. It must have pink and remember, I must be white, sparkly AND fluffy and have a crown and a scepter and..." (Not too demanding, is she?) "Okay Jezzie, but aren't birthday cards supposed to be a surprise?" "Oh it can still be a surprise, Mommy. Just keep your eyes closed while you make it." I'm afraid it sort of looks like that was the case, but she was very happy. The stamp is one of the Party Hats Cats by Lost Coast Designs and I used my glue pen to add Sparkle and Fluff. The beautiful frame is the Decorative Oval Window Die from Heartfelt Creations. I have no idea where the Crown, Princess, and Wand came from. They were a set.
Her message cracked me right up. Obviously she was a bit miffed with my "Queen of Everything" hanging. LOL So off we go for a couple more days at Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur. (See pix of last trip HERE) Thank God the road (that fell into the ocean after the rains) was reopened so we don't have to drive all the way down to Paso Robles and back up making what is normally a 2 1/2 hour drive more like 6. However, now Highway One from the South is closed now due to a landslide. YIKES! We're falling apart here in CA.
