There's something about Spring with Easter and all the cute baby animals that get me all warm and fuzzy. Seems I just can't stop flocking these days. LOL Here's a sweet one that Jezzie insisted I make. The adorable image is Chick and Kitten-Mama it's So Fluffy. With a name like that, how could I not flock? Got a chance to try out my new Spellbingers Grand Decorative Labels One to make this lacy shaped card. I cut a cut a Spellbinger's nested Egg twice and cut it to look like the chick had just hatched. and added some time punched flowers and a little bow.
Here's a closeup of the image. TOOO cute! The kitty was flocked with white, the chick, printed again on yellow, fussy cut and flocked with yellow. As you can see, the shading I've done on the images with my Copics still shows through.
Today is a special day for the Aurora Wings FB group. We're celebrating 800+ members so hope you can stop by and play along with the contests to win fabulous images that will be going on all day HERE. And there's still time to join in our very first Blog challenge HERE. Hope to see you there.
I'm entering this in the following challenges:
Sparkle and Sprinkle April Challenge, DLArt Thankful Thursday Easter, Milk Coffee Easter, Sparkles Monthly Challenge Easter Parade, Crafting For All Seasons Dies and Punches, Crafting With Dragonflies Easter, Divas By Design Easter/Spring, Simon Says Wednesday Happy Easter, Outlawz Saturday Paper a la Mode Animals, Cuttin' and Stampin' Rainbows/Easter, 613 Avenue Create Sights/Sounds/Smells/Tastes of Spring, Crafty Cardmakers You've Been Framed and the Just For Fun Easter Challenge.
There was a fab Blog Hop at Crafting with Dragonflies last week with loads of fun prizes, culminating in a Wedding Card Challenge. Each DT member told a special story about their wedding and showed pix and there was a riddle to solve...such fun! I wasn't sure I'd make it for the challenge, but WooHoo! Here it is, just under the gun. The beautiful image is from ADFD called Forever Begins Here. (Yikes, getting kinda misty!) It's colored with Copics and fussy cut. The fame was cut with my Nesties, embossed with a Cuttlebug Folder and popped for dimension. The sentiment is computer generated. This is my second post of the day, (scroll down for the other) and I've still got another card to finish for Smudgefest so come back in a few. Yikes! Better get a move on!
I'm also entering this in 613 Avenue Create Anything Goes with an Optional Sentiment and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge.
It's my pleasure today to showcase another of the fab Lady Killers available at Simply B Stamps. (P.S. they're a bargain at only $2.50 each!) Meet Graveyard Gretchen. She certainly seems involved in the final resting place for her Beloved. I had a great time making a side step card with a whole graveyard scene. The rows of stones are an On the Edge Die from Tim Holtz which I've colored with Copics, the moon, a Nesties Circle, and the grass, actually an icicle border punch from MS. the sentiment is computer generated on a Cuttlebug Emboss plus Fanciful label which I've inked with Distress.
Gretchen is colored with Copic, fussy cut and popped (what else is new? LOL). Hmmm...you'd think she'd be a bit more distraught.
Instructions for the side step card were found HERE on Splitcoast Stampers. I've flipped the cuts so that the tall piece is on the other side, though. Don't forget we have almost daily inspiration in the Simply Steampunk Challenge Blog and our current Embossing Folders Challenge runs through August 1st. Hope to see you there.
I'm also entering this in the Left of Center Challenge (using the LOC theme, although there are stripes on her dress), TTRCD July 16-22 and A Little Bit Crafty Die-ing for It, Dream Valley Fancy Folds and Crafting with Dragonflies Unusual Folds.
