Artbymiran Challenge

OMG!  A THIRD post for today.  What's gotten into me?  ( You probaby won't see another thing from me until next week now, since I've got some DT things coming up that I haven't even started.  Cutting it close for another challenge, this time the Art by Miran ATG Challenge and I've made yet ANOTHER birthday card to complete my FIVE for the Simon Says Wednesday Happy Birthday Challenge.  WooHoo!  The sweet image is Delightful Daisy #197 by artbymiran. I've used Spellbinders Grand circles and Grand Dahlia dies for matting.  The glitter card stock is called Daisy Dear from Heidi Grace the the cool flowers are by Recollections.  I used Card Candy to balance the design and peel off stickers for the sentiment.

Here's a closeup of Delightful Daisy.  She's colored with Copics, taking my cues from the DP.  I like the way the kraft card stock added some depth and brought out the brown tones in the flower centers.  I'll be back to add this to some more challenges, but it's about wine o'clock and I worked hard today.  LOL

I'm entering this in the DL.Art April Linky ChallengeClear it Out /Springtime Stash Add a Flower Challenge, Simon Says Wednesday April Showers Bring May Flowers, Crafty Sentiments ATG, Creative Card Crew Die Cuts, Crafting from the Heart ATG, Use Your Stuff- Kraft, the Corrosive Challenge Girls, Ladies, Women, and QKR Stampede Spring Has Sprung.

March FB Contest for Art by Miran

I'm so thrilled to be joining the Art by Miran March FB Anything Goes (with an Art by Miran image) challenge as Guest Designer this month. The optional theme is "Professions", so my card features the adorable Rolling By.  Gotta say waitressing can be a tough job, but could really be a kicker on roller skates, don'tcha think?  I used my fave red, white and black color scheme, because it sort of made me think of a Drive-in and added a banner (cut twice) hung with baker's twine and some adhesive bead accents.  The sentiment was computer generated.  Pretty CAS, but I love how it turned out.

I've colored this cutie with Copics, with some additional shading from Prismacolor pencils.  Love her 50's vibe!  After coloring her I noticed that I made her blouse a bit sexier than most who colored her.  Oops!  But hey, better tips that way.  LOL

Thank you to Art by Miran for choosing me to be Guest Designer this month. It's such an honor.  The new Art by Miran FB challenge is "coming right up", later today. Hope to see you there.

I'm entering this in the DL.Art March Linky Challenge, the DL.Art Thankful Thursday ATG Challenge ATG, Simon Says Monday Food and/or DrinkCraft Rocket ATG, Crafting with an Attitude ATG, the Outlawz Monday Greeting Cards Hip to be Square, TTRCD Mar 22-April 3 ATG, and Addicted to Stamps and More ATG

Hey there, Hot Stuff!

Yes, yet another Valentine.  LOL  I recently won some images in the Art by Mi Ran FB Group Challenge and this is one of the ones I chose.  Isn't she a cutie? The image is called Cupid's Little Helper. When I was a kid, I had a thing for the "Hot Stuff" (the little devil) comic books, so I couldn't resist this little gal.  As you can imagine, the sentiment came quite naturally.  (And, I happen to I think my man is pretty hot stuff.  xx)  She's colored with Copics with a little detailing with Prismacolor pencils on her curls. She was fussy cut and popped on a doily I colored red with a Bic marker (I know I have some red ones somewhere, but it's no surprise I couldn't find them when I needed them). The fiery background is one I found on the net.

I'm entering this in both the new Art by Mi Ran ATG FB challenge, the new Art by Mi Ran ATG Blog challenge, the DL.Art Pink, Red, and Hearts /any One or All Challenge, the DL.Art February Linky challenge, Aud Sentiments Cute + a Sentiment, the Star Stampz Monochromatic Challenge, the Corrosive Challenge Love, Love, Love and Dare to be Sassy Thursdays Favorite Color(s) challenge (ALL shades of RED).

Some Bunny Loves You!

Okay, so I'm not done with Valentine's Day.  (I'm not actually done with Christmas, either, but that's another story)  Anyway, I couldn't resist using Bunneh, from BloobelStamps for this one and (again!) the cool freebie digi papers from Art by Miran FB Group page that I recolored in red in my Printmaster Platinum Program.

Here's a closeup, he totally cracks me up and doesn't look the least bit thrilled about that Valentine Heart (MS punch) in his mouth, does he?  Bunneh is colored with Copics with a bit of shading from Prismacolor pencils, fussy cut and popped. He was printed twice so I could better fit the Valentine in his mouth. Who knew he'd tear it all to shreds?  Looks like he made a mess of the background too.  The sentiment was computer generated and inside it says "Just not this one!"  Happy (belated) VD!

I'm entering this in the Left of Center With Love Challenge, the DL.Art Pink, Red and Hearts challenge, the Outlawz Tuesday Color Challenge Monochromatic, the ABC Challenge B is for (Bunneh!), the DL.Art February Linky Challenge, and the Crafting Musketeers Monochrome Challenge.

A Little Something from the Kitty on Valentine's Day

Every year both Goliath and Jezebel give Daddy Valentines.  This year Goliath opted for a commercial card, but Jezebel wanted to contribute creatively to the one Mommy was making.  She's our fluffball and we often find little 'prises from her impeccable grooming practices.   This time she seems to have hacked up a heart and from the expression on her face, even SHE seems surprised.

The fabulous image is Kitteh by BloobelStamps.  There was a fun contest in the Bloobel FB Group to suggest images and this is the one I suggested.  Lucky me was one of the 5 winners chosen.  WooHoo!  Here's the closeup (and also of Jezzie's "heart" which actually is made from her fur (thankfully minus the digestive juices, LOL).  She was colored with Copics with a fair amount of Prismacolor pencil detail for her fur.  I used some freebie digital DP from the ArtbyMiran FB group that I cropped into a heart shape in my Printmaster Platinum program and printed for the background.

Here's the inside.  Well, I better get going.  Jezzie is super excited to give Daddy her "home made" card.  Love to you all on Valentine's Day.  xxx

Birthday Wishes

I've been playing along with the Art by MiRan Progressive challenge on the FB Group page for 3 months.  Yea, me!  Here's the latest.  I received this adorable image for free because I participated in the last month's challenge, but if you'd like to buy in (hurry, this challenge closes April 9th) you can get her HERE at a 50% discount.  She's colored with Copics and I fussy cut around her balloons until I could position the Spellbinders Labels 25 die appropriately and cut her out.  I also used my Scalloped Ovals to cut a window in the floral mat.  The punched border is Martha Stewart.  The DP's are Authentique.  Birthday Wishes are peel off stickers that I colored black with a Sharpie.

I'm also entering this in the Simon Says Wednesday Happy Birthday challenge, Show Your Digi Love Challenge 3, Fan-Tastic Tuesday ATG w/ Die or Punch and the Art by MiRan ATG Challenge.

Zandi and Zelda

Here's my little Creative Team project for the Lacy Sunshine Blog where you get weekly inspiration and all the scoop on what's happening in the world of Lacy Sunshine.  By now the word is out about the fabulous new Lacy Sunshine Crafts online magazine. You can still get yours HERE. But did you know that besides the 130+ pages of inspiration, tutorials, tips and treats you also will receive some Freebies that are brand new and will never be released in the shop? These exclusive new digis will be emailed to you with your purchase and I just couldn't help but do a little project with one of my faves, Zandi and Zelda. Those who know me know I have a bit of a thing for zebras and Zandi is about the cutest little zebra EVER! If you're at all interested in all my zebra stuff, be sure to click HERE.   I'm also quite a fan of black and white, and even more so when there's a pop of RED, so there ya go.

I've colored these cuties with Copics, fussy cut them and backed them with black and fussy cut them again. They're popped atop a circular side step card (tutorial on SplitcoastStampers HERE). I cut my circle using a Spellbinders Grand Circles and jazzed it up a bit by adding a scalloped border using the Grand Scalloped Circles and trimming it to fit. The only embellies need were some Alpha Bead hearts. The sentiment was computer generated. It reminds me of when I was in school and my BFF and I would dress alike. You know the old saying, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". Too cute!

I'm entering this in the Art by Miran ATG challenge, Crafty Little Fairies Spots and Stripes, the Fitztown Favorite Colors Challenge and A Random Fan Polka Dots Challenge.
