Guest Designing for Colouring in Scrapland
I'm thrilled to be joining the team at Colouring in Scrapland as Guest Designer for the mid-way inspiration post for the January Anything Goes Challenge. The fabulous sponsor is All Dressed Up and I've made a cheery little scene with Girl on a Bike with older papers from my stash by Heidi Grace. I love the bright colors and thought it would be perfect with the cute stamp, don't you?
I printed Girl on a Bike quite small to fit the scale of my paper which made the coloring a bit of a challenge with my Copics but I tried my best to do at least some shading on the adorable detailed image. I decided she was too small to fussy cut so I used a Spellbinders Circle die on top of a Scalloped Circle and "grounded" her by cutting another piece of the "grass" with my circle die to add under the wheels. I popped the circle with foam and also a cloud I die cut from another part of the Design paper and inked with Distress. The sentiment was computer generated with my new tiny arrow paperclips and little heart jewels on each end. I also added a heart to the sun above. Inside will read "and enjoy the ride".
Thank you Colouring in Scrapland for inviting me to join you this month and to All Dressed Up for the beautiful image. The Challenge is an easy Anything Goes and the winner of this challenge may choose 2 stamps from All Dressed Up. Hope to see you there.
I'm entering this in the All Dressed Up January #77 AG challenge, DL.Art January Linky Challenge, Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #74 AG, the Corrosive Challenge AG, the Colour Crazy Challenge Week 2 AG, Simon Says Wednesday Add a Sentiment.

The Outlawz Progressive plus Wednesday Sketch
Well, the month is almost over and there still are a number of challenges I'm wanting to enter, but may not be able to make tomorrow's deadline. I finally managed to color the adorable Butterfly Kisses from All Dressed Up for the Outlawz January Freebie/Progressive challenge but was stuck on a design so I opted for their Wednesday's Sketch for a two-fer (or is it a one-fer two?).
I took some liberties with the sketch because I'd already cropped the image and couldn't manage a rectangle but I think you can still see the inspiration. Butterfly Kisses is colored with Copics with a little help from Prismacolor pencils and I tried to do an ombre look to her knits and a tweed look to her jumper. The gorgeous crinkle ribbon is from the Sweet Treats Bundle at DL.Art. Yummy, eh? I don't see this exact bundle in the shop right now, but all of her ribbon is hand dyed, so when you see it, you gotta nab it. There is a similar one right HERE, though. The flowers are "wedding confetti" from Michaels, colored to match with Copics and I've added gems to the centers.
I'm also adding this to the DL.Art January Linky Challenge, the DL.Art Thankful Thursday #197 ATG, All Dressed Up January Magical World FB challenge, Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #50 ATG and Crafty Addicts Monochromatic.

ABC Challenges "Q" is for Quick
I'm thrilled to be joining the ABC Challenge as Guest Designer for October where the theme this time is "Q" is for Quick (AKA Clean and Simple, quite frankly, nothing I do is ever quick. LOL). Definitely not my forte, but fortunately the adorable stamp I've been provided from All Dressed Up, the fabulous sponsor this time, is just perfect for the challenge. I've colored the sweet stamp called Happy Christmas Little Star with Copics in pink (I seem to be in a pink and girly mood lately). I printed the image twice for my project, the second time enlarging it slightly. I fussy cut the sweet fairy and stack of pressies of the smaller print and the sentiment star from the larger so I could cut a window in the mat with a Spellbinders Nested Star. The mat itself is embossed with a Cuttlebug Star folder popped with foam from the card base and then I popped the sentiment star inside. The only embellies are the ribbon and bow and a bit of Stickles on the star and fairy wings. Easy peasy. Now let's see what you create.
Thanks so much to the gals at ABC Challenges for inviting me to join their lovely team this month and to All Dressed Up for the sweet stamp.
I'm entering this in the DL.Art October Linky challenge, The All Dressed Up ATG Challenge #61, the Alphabet Challenge "P" for Pretty in Pink, QKR Stampede Cut it Up, Really Reasonable Ribbon Things with Wings, Crafty Girls Creations ATG, Crafty Ribbons Use Ribbon or Lace, Simon Says Stamp ATG, the Crafter's Cafe Use a lot of Pink and Winter Wonderland Tic Tac Toe, using either diagonally down from top right or last row down).
