Wicked Wednesday ATC and Stampotique CAS

Felt so bad not using a Stampotique image for the WW ATG challenge that I thought I'd try another quickie.  I've used Smile and am so proud of myself using a Stamp-a-majig for the first time for the placement of the scissors from the Tools Cube.  The sentiment is from Gingers House.  Colored the heart only with Copics and matted in black...DONE!  WooHoo!

Stampotique 116, Try a New Technique and Another Boy Oh Boy for Wicked Wednesday

This week's Stampotique Challenge 116 is try a new technique and I've been dying to try a melted crayon background.  Of course I didn't exactly follow the instructions, but it's not too bad for a 1st attempt (at 6:30 am, no less).  I have to saythough, this is no child's play.  Those crayons have a mind of their own when you zap 'em with a heat gun.  LOL  Thought it would be a perfect background for Quizer and Mervynboy and their box of crayons from the Tools Cube, all by Daniel Torrente for Stampotique Originals.  The sentiment is computer generated.  They are all conveniently sized for an ATC so I could also enter this in the Wicked Wednesday ATC Boy Oh Boy Challenge.  WooHoo!

Playing Tag at Dilly Beans

Yup!  Do you believe it's Friday already?  Time for another Dilly Beans Challenge and this time it's Tags.  Thought I'd do another Christmas (or should I say "Creepmas") in July theme with the adorable #161 Zombie Christmas Elf.  and what do Zombie elves crave?  Sugarplum brains, of course, made by my fab DB and HDH Minion Sister Creepy Glowbugg.  She's got gobs of cool schtuff in her Etsy Store so be sure to check it out.  I wrapped 'em up and tied them with twine.   Don't they look yummy?

I went with non traditional Christmas colors to compliment the brains and cut the mats for the tag, image and computer generated sentiment with my fave MS drippy goo punch.  Nothin' like a little oozing brain matter and bile to get you in the Creepmas spirit, eh?  Zombie Elf is colored with Copics and oops!  I just realized I left the little deely bobs hangin' from his collar unattended.  Nothin' that a few adhesive beads won't fix (trust me on that, I'm not takin' another pic.) So Falala!  Be sure to check out the fab tags from my DT sisters and come play along.  Remember to use a Dilly Beans image so why not stop by the SHOP.  Megan's added some adorable new gals and she has a fab bundle price going on now.

I'm also entering this in the Left of Center Christmas/Creepmas in July Challenge, the Simon Says Stamp and Show Celebrate Challenge, the Outlawz Alcohol Markers Anything Goes Challenge with an Optional Christmas Twist, the DLART Thankful Thursday Christmas in July, and the Stampotique Tag You're It Challenge (sorry, no Stampotique stamp this time, but 3 out of 4 ain't bad.  LOL)

PunkyouGirl Creepmas in July and Stampotique 109 Clean and Simple

Yikes!  I almost missed the PunkyouGirl Creepmas in July Challenge and I had sooo many ideas.  Good thing I checked the Linky, or I wouldn't have made it at all.  I decided to combine it with the (almost current) Stampotique Clean and Simple Challenge.  One day off, so I'm catching up there.  I used Stampotique's creepy little Daniel's Tree Topper Small by who else, but Daniel Torrente.  Dig those pointy teeth, (seen better on the stamp link).  Yikes!  I stamped and fussy cut and popped her (him?) above a Spellbinder's Snowflake die that I used with the embossing plate and mat so it wouldn't cut through.  It was also run through the Cuttlebug with a snowflake folder.  Tiny black mat and Alpha Bead sentiment.  CAS and DONE!  (Sorry it looks blue.  It's really black and white.  The bright sunlight washed out the embossing so I photographed it indoors with no flash.)

I'm also entering this in the Outlawz Sunday CAS Christmas in July Challenge and the Left of Center Stripes and/or Spots (those embossed flakes look like spots to me, if not, then the LOC theme)

Another for Stampotique (SDC 107 Recycle it)

Catching up again on this month's Stampotique Challenges.  I'm really trying to use more of my "real" stamps.  This is for the Recycle Challenge and I've used Daniel Torrente's adorable Carrot.  I've used an ADFD digi from the Veggie Lover Past Release behind him to make the "bunch".

The digi was printed on a background I sprayed with Dylusions through a piece of mesh cut from a potato sack.  Carrot was stamped, colored with Copics and fussy cut.  I punched through the background and thread a twistie to tie him to the bunch.  Sentiment is computer generated.

Overcoming my Fear of Stamping for Stampotique

Okay, I do a lot of digi stamping, but when it comes to the real thing, my palms start sweating.  Honestly, after I've inked up a rubber or clear stamp, my heart starts pounding and I actually start shaking (probably my problem, LOL) but the thought of a blurred or half stamped image makes me just cringe!  Yeah, I know, there are no mistakes in art, but if my impression doen't turn out PERFECTLY, I'm NOT a happy camper.  However, there are some real stamps I just can't resist, especially Stampotique.  I love how their Designer's challenges are weekly, but you have all month to get them in.  If you're late, there's no chance of a "shout out" but considering my stamping, that's highly unlikely anyway, so here's my entry for SDC 108 "French Flair".  I'm so proud of myself.  I actually used FOUR diffrent stamps and even stamped the flourish (from BAsic Grey) directly on the DP.  Aren't I the brave one!?  The Eiffel Tower is Tim Holtz and I mussed that one up royally but still decided to use it. (Go ME!)  The tres chic outfit is a Dylusions clear stamp from the Couture Collection and finally, the head is Cloche hat by Kelle McCarter but she seems to have disapppeared from the Stampotique site.  Bummer on that but c'est la vie!

My Danse Macabre Piece for the Smeared and Smudged Design Team Throwdown

Getting in at the 11th hour (well, not quite) I just finished this piece for the Haunted Design House Team for the Smeared and Smudged Design Team Throwdown.  We're one member short, but Creepy Glo and I didn't want the fab theme "Danse Macabre", chosen but last month's winners, the RSD Airless Chambers Team, go by without at least an attempt.  The bad news is, it doesn't photograph well because I didn't have a hanger on the back to hang it on the wall so it's on a niche in our entryway on a plate stand.

In case you can't tell, it's a wooden plaque that I painted and decoupaged with torn and distressed sheet music (Handel's Messiah, to be exact).  A skeleton hand  (more on that in a minute) is holding  dimensional marionette made with Smeared Ink's Dead Dancer Pointing

The hand started out as paper mache.  As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to make it a skellie hand.  Easier said than done.  First I painted it with Gesso and then started to sculpt bones on top using paper clay.  What I didn't count on was how freakin' FAT and heavy the hand got once I started sculpting.  Used a full 8 oz of clay and had to cover the whole thing for fear of the stuff separating from the base.  When I was done (forgot to take pix) it looked more like the Incredible Hulk's hand.  Thought I should just paint it green and give up a that point.

But I persevered and tried shading with Distress Inks until it somewhat resembled bones.

A bit of an improvement, at least, but a new set of problems.

I'd started to do my dimensional dancer and after I saw how HUGE the hand turned out I had to start over because the scale was all wrong.  I wanted sort of a "Tiny Dancer" look, but here's the size I started with, and next to it the size she ended up.

I wanted her not only 3 dimensional, but complete on both sides so I did 12 layers all in all, half of them flipped.  Have scissors, will fussy cut, and fussy cut and fussy cut and...

Removed the hand above her head because with the flipped images, that actually gave her 3 arms.  LOL

Ended up refilling my Copic red twice because I colored each image on both sides before attaching them together and even drew in the lines of the tutu because they were visible.  Attached some tulle as well.  After all, what's a ballerina without tulle, eh?  Even a dead one.  Be sure to visit HDH to see the fabulous work by my teamie, Creepy Glo and the fabulous work by the rest of the participating teams HERE.  Voting starts tomorrow on the Smeared and Smudged Forum and you must be a member to join, but it's free and fun and you know you wanna.

I'm also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge and the Stampotique Anything but a Card Challenge.

VOTING NOW OPEN HERE!  Vote for your FAVE team.  Best of luck to all.

A Couple of Challenge Cards

Every week I try to enter challenges other than my DT projects and rarely get the chance.  Today I managed TWO and they couldn't be more different.

Simon Says Stamp

The first is for the Simon Says Take a Picture Challenge using some fab DP from Crate Paper and and adorable Digi and Sentiment from Birdie Brown.  My friend and Dilly Beans DT sister Jen turned me on to her Blog (she finds all the goodies!) where there is a Freebie challenge each month.  These were the April Freebies and are still available HERE.  The image is colored with Copics using shades from the DP.  Added some Primas and a gingham bow as well as an acrylic circle on the lens.

SDC 100: Anything Goes Challenge

This one might take a bit of explaining.  LOL  I love the new format at the Stampotique Designer's Challenge.  Although the challenges are weekly, you actually have all month to enter so if you miss a challenge you like you can do it any time during the month.  WOOHOO!  I call this piece "Recurring Nightmare".  I bought this hilarious stamp Underwhere because it totally cracked me up but then thought "What the hell am I gonna do with it?"  I mean a dude in his tighty whities isn't exactly the most versatile thing ever, but I just couldn't resist.  Been having some discussions of dreams lately and started thinking about common recurring nightmares.  This is my version of the one where you all of a sudden find yourself in public and realize you're not dressed.

Here's a close up of Underwhere by Daniel Torrente.  His quirky stamps are some of my faves!  Behind are Heads (a "must have") and 3 Smiles

The sentiment stamp actually reads "I'd wish I'd worn panties" in Carol's Collection.  It's also Stampotique but since he clearly did not forget his panties (thank GOD!), I cut and spliced it to be more appropriate. The laughter in the background is computer generated. This is what happens when I have too much time on my hands.  I think the whole thing is hilarious, but I'm easily amused.  My hubby didn't get it. Even after I explained it to him he still sat shaking his head.

The Altered Alice, Chapter 27 What a Wonderful Dream it Has Been

"`Who cares for you?' said Alice, (she had grown to her full size by this time.) `You're nothing but a pack of cards!'
At this the whole pack rose up into the air, and came flying down upon her: she gave a little scream, half of fright and half of anger, and tried to beat them off, and found herself lying on the bank, with her head in the lap of her sister, who was gently brushing away some dead leaves that had fluttered down from the trees upon her face.
`Wake up, Alice dear!' said her sister; `Why, what a long sleep you've had!'
`Oh, I've had such a curious dream!' said Alice, and she told her sister, as well as she could remember them, all these strange Adventures of hers that you have just been reading about; and when she had finished, her sister kissed her, and said, `It WAS a curious dream, dear, certainly: but now run in to your tea; it's getting late.' So Alice got up and ran off, thinking while she ran, as well she might, what a wonderful dream it had been."
-- Chapter 12, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

I've created  a Wonderland scene using a number of the fabulous stamps from our sponsor, Stampotique.

Chapter 27 will be the last regularly scheduled challenge on The Altered Alice. Due to pressures of work, health, and family activities, Lynne is not able to keep up with running the challenges any longer. We will continue to have Alice posts and Linky tools so you can show us your Alice and perhaps some blog candy now and then, but it will not be in formal challenges. Please continue to subscribe and to share your Alice artwork!
Inline image 1
Just as our very first challenge was sponsored by Stampotique Originals, we are ending with a Stampotique challlenge! They are offering a $30 gift certificate for one lucky winner, and their design team is going to play along! Be sure to visit their Stampotique Designer's Challenge blog where you can play every week! There is something to please everyone at Stampotique Originals! I like the symmetry of ending as we began.

Here we have the Mad Hatter and Caterpillar sitting a top the Mushroom Forest. Most of the Wonderland Stamps I've used are from designer Janet Klein. The perfect Wonderland sentiment here is from Amy Wilson Wellenstein.  Couldn't leave out the Alpha Beads, now could I?

A startled White Rabbit looks on.

And of course I couldn't forget the star of the show Alice, without whom there would be no story.  As you all know, I'm usually a digi stamp gal, but I've long been impressed by the fabulous quirky designs, superb quality, and ease of stamping I find with Stampotique Originals.  I've used Memento Ink for stamping and colored them all with Copics and was thrilled that they came out perfect the very first time I stamped them.  I'm so thrilled that they are our sponsor.  Thank you, Stampotique!

This is a tent card with the windows cut with Spellbinders Labels Seventeen. I added an additional frame in front to allow for more depth.  The lovely DP's are Kay&Co.

Anything goes, so show us your best! We will begin on Mother's Day, May 12 and end on Father's Day, June 16. Your last day to submit projects will be Friday, June 14. Multiple entries are encouraged but each must be on a separate post. For our last challenge, only Wonderland projects are allowed!

Besides the rest of the Altered Alice team, we have the honor of one of the Stampotique Designers joining us today.  Please welcome Sue Davies and give her some love. Happy Mother's Day to all.

Spring has Sprung!

Don't faint, I have TWO posts today, so please scroll down to see my Simply Steampunk card and find out about the new monthly challenge.

Looking out the window here it's evident Spring has sprung, so we're celebrating the season at Dilly Beans with Spring inspired cards this week.  Here we have #351 Amalia and Butterflies Framed gazing up at #529 Grandpa's Flower.  For a little play on words, I made a spring for the stem by winding green wire around a skewer, then fussy cut and attached the leaves behind.  The bloom is layered and popped on an action wobble.  You tired of my Alpha Beads yet?  Me neither.  LOL  Be sure and pop by Dilly Beans to see more Spring inspired cards from my DT sisters and how about joining us this week?  We'd love to have you.

I'm also adding this to the DLArt Thankful Thursday Spring Challenge, Simon Says Stamps and Show Anything Goes, Craft and Me Spring Flowers, Flutter by Wednesday Flowers Challenge, Stampotique Flowers Challenge #94 and Can You Digi It Pick a Season Challenge.

For a Bunch of Challenges

Here's a fun one (at least I think so) for a bunch of challenges.  Ever wonder why your kitties are sooo interested in your Christmas balls?  Pehaps they know something you don't.  I'm thinkin' they can hear the little creatures that live inside and can't wait to break them out.  A crash sends them scurrying to parts unknown, but not before they've grabbed their shades.  They're not used to the bright lights of Christmas.  My first inspiration was the Stampotique Designer's Non-Traditional Christmas Challenge  where you use a non Christmas stamp to make a Christmas card.  I've used the Stampotique 3 in a Round, one of my faves!  They're peeking out of a shaped card I've made with Spellinders 2011 Heirloom Ornaments Die (sorry, still no Cricut).  Making shaped cards is my all time favorite things and it's even easier using Nesties dies to do so I'm also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Favorites Challenge.

I used another Nestie and embossed the circle on my ornament and then cut it with a craft knife after taping the back with foil tape to look like it was broken.  The pieces are all triangles so I'm entering this in the Octopode Factory Shape Challenge (Use Triangles).  (Hope it counts.  I really would love to do another with the new Octopode Factory stamps I just got but I don't even have my tree up yet.)  YIKES!  How do you spell proscrastinate?  D O N N A!  (However, I've always been told I work best under pressure)

I've used #'s 1, 2, 3, and 10 in the Desert Islands Crafter's Itinerary.  Winter holiday (Christmas, silver (the foil tape) and gold (the ornament hanger), magical creatures (they look pretty magical to me living in an ornament and all) and a non craft item (the foil tape which really isn't meant for crafting and the ornament hanger).

The sentiment is computer generated the I've colored acetate with my Bic Markers and glued them to an eyeglass brad to make the shades.  Personally, the whole thing makes me giggle so I'm also entering this in the Christmas Crackers Challenge at Moving Along with the Times. Phew! that oughtta do it.

Wicked Wednesday Wing It Challenge Using Stampotique

See, I told ya I'd be back with another ATC for this week's Wicked Wednesday Wing It Challenge.  This one uses a Stampotique stamp from Daniel Torrente called Oh My Dear.  I did some masking and added some wings from one of the Mini Flying Ladies from Lost Coast Designs.  The song lyrics were computer generated and I used Distress Inks on the background and even flicked some watered down reinker with a toothbrush because I'm too chicken to mist like my sweet friend Jenn so successfully does.  Left the rubber stamps uncolored 'cause I like them that way.  I'm also entering this in the Atc's and Cards with Attitude Anything Goes Challenge, the SDC #77 Let's Get Sentimental challenge and the Stampotique Guest Designer Challenge.

Macabre Monday Chic Freaks

Before we get too far here, I have to tell you I'm in FL working on an unfamiliar computer that doesn't want to let me link in my post. I will correct this problem when I get home later on Monday, but for now, it is what it is. (All fixed so be sure to click the links) So sorry I missed last week's Macabre Monday challenge. I must say the rest of the DT outdid themselves, but I'm up and running with this week's Chic Freaks Challenge sponsored by one of my FAVE rubber stamp companies, Stampotique. Stampotique has some of the most talented designers in the business and my personal faves are the creepy quirky images by Daniel Torrente and Jill Penney. This happy dude is a combination of Mervyn's face on Dweeze's body.

I've stamped him on purple card stock and left him uncolored. I made my own DP using Tim Holtz's method of swiping Distress Ink (in Dusty Concord, Milled Lavender, and Black Soot) on a craft sheet, spritzing it and wiping my paper in the concoction. Once dry, I stamped 3 Smiles over and over for the pattern. (LOVE it!)

I fussy cut Mervyn, added a black border mat and popped him to make him stand out against the smily faces. The sentiment is computer generated, inked and matted as well. Chic? Well...but he sure is freaky, don'tcha think? The Minions really enjoyed working with these fab stamps from Stampotique so be sure and check out their fabulous inspiration. I know you'll want to join in this week as well for a chance to win a fab prize from Stampotique (BTW, the stamps are not all creepy, LOL), so check out Haunted Design House and play along.

Macabre Monday Xtremely Xhaustive

Or should I say Xtremely Xhausted! Still gearing up for my July 4th party, but of course I couldn't miss Macabre Monday at Haunted Design House. This week your project must be LONG with some type of long embellie, like string, or ribbon, or twine; a noose, perhaps? Anyway, I've made a birthday card with Batboy by Torrente/Penney for Stampotique. Note the party hat? He's colored with Copics, and standing on a chair cut with the French Manor Cricut cartridge. The DP is K&Co and the letter stickers are??? Sorry , too tired to look them up.

More of the no name sticker letters for the sentiment on a die cut using Nesties Labels Seventeen. DH didn't get it. (Okay, the "jJs" are kinda hard to read, but still...) I think it's fairly amusing, but what do I know? LOL Check out the fab projects by the rest of the Minions and hope to see you play along.

The Burtonesque Dolls Put Me in a Burton Movie Challenge

This is my second post of the day, only because I'm scrambling to join this challenge. If you're looking for the BBTB2 Blog Hop, please scroll down. The Burtonesque Dolls are back in business and I've been trying to play along. This week in particular the prize is something I covet: your choice of 3 of the new Burton-weenies stamps from Simply Betty! The challenge is put an image, any image, in a Burton movie. I had tons of ideas for this one but I just couldn't pull it together. Then finally, when rifling through my Stampotique Stamps, I came across '3 in a Round'. Aren't they cute? Kinda like ET and friends. So anyway, I thought they looked like they might just be peeking out of the scary tree in Sleepy Hollow. So I found a tree on Oct 31st cartridge and stretched it in DS until there was enough room on the trunk to cut a hole for the little guys to peek out of. Then I cut the Headless Horseman from Happy Hauntings. The background is done with Distress Inks. Added some Rain Dot bats and a jack-o-lantern epoxy sticker and there ya go. I got a little slap happy because I'm tired, so I hope you find the computer generated sentiment amusing. Don't they look apprehensive? And wouldn't you be?

Macabre Monday From the Bone Pile

This week's Macabre Monday is From the Bone Pile. Translation: must use only scraps from your stash (except card base and main image). Hey no prob. My scraps remain on my desk, my table, my floor for MONTHS! Seriously, my scrap room is a MESS! Recognize the top layer here? It's the negative from a card I did for MM on May 9th. You can view it HERE. It was still hangin' around so how could I NOT use it? I spritzed it with this groovy new stuff called Goosebumps to give it that awesome texture. The fabby stamps I filled the holes with are all Stampotique by Torrente /Penney. How convenient that the current Stampotique Designer's Challenge is also Use your Scraps. A match made in heaven me thinks. I've used Halloween Cube 1, Gobby Lin and Gog Lin, so cute, in a creepy sort of way...PERFECT!

Now just in case you doubt that this was made with all scraps, I've snapped a pic of the rust colored mat See the big cut outs from Nesties? I had to hide those with another scrap of kraft also sprayed with Goosebumbs and inked with Distress. It acts like a resist, how cool!

Just barely enough room to pop my negative mat and then add the fussy cut images that were colored with Copics. The spider web corners are MS from more of the same kraft scrap and actually, even the card base was a scrap from a 12 x 12 piece of card stock that I'd cut my B!H! card from earlier last week (you can't see it because I could only cut it 6x6 and that was the size of the rust mat but you can take my word for it). It felt pretty darn good to use the stuff I usually toss (after I get so buried in stuff I can't find my work surface) so be sure and play along. You'll feel so virtuous if you do!

Bah!Humbug! "Whateva" (Teen Card Challenge) and Stampotique CAS Challenge

When I saw this week's "Whateva!" teen card challenge at Bah! Humbug! I knew immediately that I'd be using one of the quirky Christmas stamps by Torrente/Penney for Stampotique. These stamps really have some " 'tude!" Then seeing the Stampotique Designers Challenge was a CAS card (seriously, do you believe two posts in this style in one week?) I figured combining the challenges made some sense. Meet "O Joy". Doesn't he look absolutely thrilled? LOL Tell me you haven't seen that look on plenty of teen faces. He's stamped and colored with Copics with the computer generated sentiment printed around him. He's cut and matted with Nesties Deckled Mega Rectangles and the card front itself is embossed with a 5x7 Cuttlebug snowflake folder. All that was added was an MS icicle punched border embossed with a Cuttlebug border folder. Pretty fit for a teen and CAS enough? Hope so. I'm also entering this is Ujjwal's Simple and Embossed challenge on Yvonne's Do More With Less Blog and Christmas Cards All Year 'Round June Challenge.

Macabre Monday (on Wednesday) Pleasure and Pain Challenge

Had one rough week and major lacking of mojo for my DT card for Macabre Monday. The cool challenge is Pleasure and Pain. Use something you love (stamp, embellie, color, etc.) and something you hate. First were the decisions and I finally came up with wet and dry embossing. Honestly, I already stink at rubber stamping, but to add embossing powder and a heat gun...DISASTER! But you know I love me some Cuttlebug! Then find an image and folder that made sense. Lots of failed attempts here but finally Mr. Stripes by Torrente/Penney for Stampotique (another LOVE as long as I don't have to heat emboss) and the Cuttlebug Spider Web embossing folder. As I continued I realized there were all sorts of Love/Hates on this card. Love: Dry embossing, Stampotique stamps, purple and orange, multiple mat layers, border punches, Nestabilities, foam dimensionals, adhesive beads, the Internet
Hate: Heat embossing, rubber stamping, border punches (I cannot tell you how many times I had to redo these three elements), less than creative layouts, spiders, lack of mojo when you really want to do a good job, THE INTERNET (how many hours do YOU waste in a day?) So pop by Haunted Design House and see the fab offerings of Pleasure and Pain by the rest of the Minions (and already a number of fab entries in the challenge.) Play along! There's plenty of room for interpretation on this one!

Happy Crimbo Limbo!

Oh dear, I do so apologize! I've never left my blog for 5 whole days but this year Christmas just got away from me. I intended to spend this week experimenting with new goodies and having all the time in the world to craft until a bit of a pumbing fiasco left me stressed to the max with water coming out of the recessed lighting canisters, tools everywhere, my bathroom off the craft room out of commission and eventually a hole in the kitchen ceiling. Hope everyone's holiday was super and you're ready to ring in the New Year with joy, hope, and intense creativity.

I just had to sneak in one last challenge for one of my FAVE Stamp companies, Stampotique. The Stampotique Designer's Challenge is to use punches and die cuts and this week requires Stampotique stamps only. (No prob, I own a ton!) So how do you like my title? I have to say I've been tickled by the expression "Crimbo" many of the blogs from my friends across the pond. Of course I recognized it as "Christmas", but I wanted to investigate further and Googled the term. That's where I found "Crimbo Limbo". HA! The Urban Dictionary defines it as: The period after Christmas Day and before New Year's Eve mainly spent sitting down and eating lots of leftovers. Many find it extremely dull. There's also something about giving oneself alcohol poisoning, but I'm sure that doesn't apply to anyone here. (LOL)

So here are Winter and Weasel, out of the house, bored out of their mind, and ready to pelt the next unsuspecting passerby with snowballs. That always was a secret fear of mine when I saw idle youths out in the snow. Fortunately that doesn't happen where we live now in CA but memories still linger. (Shudder!)
The sentiments are computer generated, even the teeny one on the sign. I just stamped the image and messed with the sizing on the computer until it looked like it would fit. I printed it and used my light table to make sure, and then used removable tape to secure Weasel in place and ran it back through the computer. Voila! The large Snowflake is a Cuttlebug Die, the snowy hills with trees is an EK Success punch and the one with snowmen is a Martha Stewart.

So all that was left was a little inking, Stickles, pompoms and popping. This card makes me giggle. Hope you like it too. There's still time to enter this fabulous challenge. And the winner will receive a $30 gift certificate to Stampotique (be still my heart!). Random org, too, so I wonder what my lucky number will be. (Keeping fingers crossed)

Butterfly Kisses

So do you believe it, a non Halloween, Thanksgiving OR Christmas card? LOL I planned to enter this in a challenge for Some Odd Girl Digi Day but I was too late. I used Kissy Mae who's blowing lots of butterfly kisses to her Sweetie. Isn't she adorable? She's colored with Copics and fussy cut and popped. The butterflies are punched with various MS punches and the paper is Me&My Big Ideas. I do think it's "girly girl" enough to enter in the Stampotique Designers Challenge and although I prefer to use my Stampotique stamps for those, it's not required this time. (Hopefully I can do another using them later).
The mat is cut with my Nesties Mega Ovals Large and popped. The sentiment is computer generated and cut with Labels One. Flowers are prima. xx
