Annabelle Stamps Sketch Challenge #159
I found the most beautiful quote in the monthly Freebie section on the Annabelle Stamps Blog. It really spoke to me and I was dying to use it. Their CAS Sketch Challenge seemed like the perfect time.
Here's the sketch. I'm always kind of timid when zshuzshing up a sketch but decided to be BOLD today, using my Nesties Labels Twenty instead of a plain rectangle, adding two mats, popping the lavender and embossing the top one. The three pearls are there, but I added three more for balance. I'm hoping that's ok. I often look at sketch blogs and can't even remotely see the sketch in some people's work so I think I'm pretty safe here. I really love how it came out, even more because I've found that loving heart and warm protective arms.
I'm also entering this in the Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge.

Happy Birthday!
Aren't men cute? They never really grow up, do they, but would we have it any other way? Male birthday cards aren't my forte, but while I was perusing my (bazllion) digis from The Octopode Factory I came across Peter Pan. Perfect, hee hee (it was the earring that got me). I don't know if anyone remembers the tv special with Mary Martin playing Peter Pan, but she/he sings a song called "I won't grow up!", so I used that and created word circles in my Card Factory program 'cause I thought it looked cool and I could enter this in the TOFF Circles Challenge. (Don't faint, it's my second entry, WOOHOO!)
Kept the card simple. He likes it that way. Just colored with Copics and fussy cut. So loved the eyes I popped them twice.
Inside, another Octopode Factory image. This time Pinocchio. He kind of inspired the sentiment (changed the age because I thought it was more fitting). Nice woody! Hope this is good for a giggle. I think I'll leave it at that.
This also conveniently works with the Annabelle Stamps Say it With Spots, Dots, and Anything Round. I'm hoping I can sneak in another entry over there with an Annabelle Stamp I WON over there but I've got to finish my DT stuff first.
I'm also entering this in the Clearly Inspired Circles Challenge, the Fat Pages and Cards with Attitude anything Goes/Music challenge (inspired by the song "I Won't Grow Up"), and Penny's Paper-Crafty Masculine Challenge.

Wicked Wednesday ATC "The Blues" Challenge
The challenge over at Wicked Wednesday is "The Blues" this week. Funny, I had just done a totally blue card using June for the Papelitos release of Zoe and Friends and wasn't sure what else I could do. I've been messing a bit more with my Digital PrintMaster Platinum program and decided to print another Papelitos Stamp, Kris, in blue. I love the sketchy feel of this stamp and really don't think it needs coloring. I then discovered I could print a page of any color in ombre and chose the same blue to start and then cut the page into ATC size as well as a first mat with the lighter side of the printed page. Cool! Even cooler, I could pick a shape and use the same effect on that.
Now I know many do totally digital projects and just print them out as is. Although I admire the ability, I don't feel like it's "mine" unless I've actually used my hands (besides on the keyboard). So my heart and Kris herself were painstakingly fussy cut and Kris was popped for dimension. You all know I'm a big fan of Alpha Beads, but my colored beads do not have every letter in every color. I was about to give up when I couldn't find the letters to spell "BLUE" in blue, but I did have "AZUL", which is blue in Spanish. Kinda fitting since Cris, the Papelitos Stamps artist is from Spain. Gorgeous stuff on Wicked Wednesday by the DT. Ya gotta go look, and for once there are still a couple of days to play along.
I'm also entering this in the ATC's and Cards with Attitude Anything Goes Challenge (with the option of lace, which I obviously didn't use. I think that's ok, though), Pattie's Creations Anything but a Card Challenge, And Annabelle Stamps Say it in Blue and White.

New Release at Papelitos
Today is new release day for a quartet of adorable angels at Papelitos Stamps on Etsy. The Angels Set is available for just $5.00, each one cuter than the next. I really didn't know which to color first, but this happy little one looks like she's spreading Joy to the World and I made my first Christmas card of the year.
She's fluttering atop a glitter star cut with Nesties and I've also added some Stickles to her wings and gown after coloring her with Copics. Her message is spelled out in Alpha Beads strung on twine from the Twinery. The striped mat is also shiny and sparkly which brings me to the fact that this week's Papelitos Stamps Challenge is Anything that Shines. There's still a couple of days left for the challenge and you don't need to use a Papelitos stamp to enter so what are you waiting for? Challenges run every Tues and there are prizes for 3 winners each week.
I couldn't resist adding a little dimension to my card. Not so sure it'll fit in a legal envelope anymore but I can always make my own. To see more examples with the rest of the the Angels click HERE to see what my DT sisters have come up with. They're not just for Christmas. And if Angels don't float your boat there's a little something for everyone at Papelitos Stamps. Cris does cute, gothic, quirky and creepy so be sure to check them out.
I'm entering my card in the following challenges:
Cardmadfairy's Christmas in July
Jellypark Friends Challenges Christmas in July
The Poodles Parlour Use a Digi
Sweet and Sassy Stamps Christmas in July
Delightful Challenges Christmas in July
Paperplay Challenges Christmas in July and
