Dilly Beans Pastel Challenge and (it's my birthday! shhh...)

It's Friday (yea!) AND my Birthday (double yea!!) so it's time for another Dilly Beans Challenge.  This week we're using pastels.  So soft and pretty, don'tcha think?  The DP's are Heidi Grace and I've used one of the new Amalia images, #398 Amalia's Daisy Crown.  The sentiment is a Basic Grey rub on.
I flipped the image and paper pieced her dress and some of the flowers so I'm entering it in this week's Delightful's Paper Piecing Challenge.  The rest is colored with Copics.   I think she's about the sweetest thing EVER!  (And BTW, she comes with wings too, if you'd prefer).  The mat is Nesties Labels 20 inked a bit with Spun Sugar Distress.
The fabulous sketch is the current Deconstructed Sketch #49.  LOVE how it allowed me to use all the different papers I wanted.  Thanks Jen for coming up with this just in time to use it on this card, or it still probably wouldn't be done.  LOL  Obviously I'll be adding this to the challenge there, as well and The Southern Girls Get Your Girly On Challenge, and Crafty Creations That's What Little Girls are Made of.

Be sure to check out the fabulous work by the rest of the DT and also the Dilly Beans Shop where Megan has a sale going on through April 30th.  Buy 3 and get one FREE!  Now it's time to go bask in Birthday glory so I'll see y'all later!

Dilly Beans Green and Black

Love, love, love, love, LOVE Megan's new images over at Dilly Beans! And since I'm always a last minute kind of gal, I was able to choose some of my new FAVES to do this week's color challenge at the Designer's and Challenge Blog: Green and Black. Normally this color scheme would throw me for a loop, but the fab Madly in Love Stack from DCWV was just the ticket. I've used #376 Martin (flipped) and #378 Cordillia. Aren't they just MFEO? I decided to stay really monochromatic and color them with Copics in shades of green only. The layout is loosely based on Deconstructed Sketch #41 and I'm hoping it's close enough to enter there.
The sentiment is from the new #375 Cute and Dark quote set. I've popped every other word for emphasis as well as Martin and Cordillia. Too funny that I just had a conversation about this with my Sweetie and I've come to the conclusion that if a guy ain't lookin' at other women, he's dead. LOL (So I guess you have to take this sentiment with a grain of salt) There's loads of inspiration at the Dilly Beans Challenge Blog so be sure to hop over there and take a look. We're so thrilled when you play along. I'm also sneaking this in to the I Break For Love Challenge, the Dare to be Sassy Thursday Seeing Green Challenge at Sassy Studio Designs, the Everybody-Art-Monochrome Challenge and the Shopping Our Stash Sentiments Required Challenge.

Fabulous Inky Friday

It's Fabulous Inky Friday at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog when we announce our winner, highlight cards by our fans and post some more inspiration from the Tiddly Inkers. I chose to use the brand new image Danny's Duck. Is he about the sweetest thing on earth? He just begged to be paper pieced so that's what I did, and I used Deconstructed Sketch #23 for the layout. The DP's are Nana's Nursery. I used Nesties Scalloped squared instead of border punche because for the life of me I just couldn't punch right today. LOL Don't forget our current challenge, Boys will be Boys, and be sure to stop by the SHOP and check out what's new. I'm also entering this in the Divas by Design Button Up challenge and Ruby's Rainbow Cute and Cuddly challenge.

Saturated Canary for Whimsical Wednesday

WooHoo, I was so excited when The Saturated Canary came out with digis. I bought a bunch but couldn't decide which to color until I saw the Whimsical Wednesday "Just Because" challenge. I colored up Hellokitty (oops, don't see her on there at the moment, but check back) but then couldn't figure out what to do with her. I've also been eyeing the Deconstructed Sketches from my TI DT sis Jenn and decided to play along. She's colored with Copics, and cut with Nesties, the DP is K&Co. The sentiment is Cuttlebug and the Card Candy is from my dear friend Chloe and Scrappy Go Lucky USA . I'm also entering this in the Cardmadfairie's Digi Days Lots of Layers Challenge and the Squiggles Stamps Autumnal Colors Challenge.
