It's Janis's Birthday month and she's got a fun celebration going on at Her Peaceful Garden until March 3rd. It's nearing the end of her celebration but I've got yet ANOTHER kitty ATC for the Week One All Those Cats Challenge. Of course there are other themes, but you know I love me some KITTIES, so there ya go.
Besides, I just HAD to color up this cute new kitty from Bloobel called Hunting Felix Cat. He actually comes as just the kitty, but I thought it would be fun to have him peeking out of a birthday present so I pasted him over the little kiddle in Bloobel's Peekaboo Present my Printmaster Platinum Program and colored him up with my Copics. I just couldn't resist some googly eyes to emphasize the computer generated sentiment.
So I was up pretty early today (3:00 am) considering going to the Scrapbook Expo in Pleasanton, hoping to score some goodies. We'll see about that. In the meantime, I'm also adding this to DL.Art March Linky Challenge, SUYP February AG/Kitty Love, Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #76 AG, 2 Crafty Critter Crazies March AG w/critter, and Simon Says Wednesday AG.
It's Janis's Birthday month and she's got a fun celebration going on at Her Peaceful Garden until March 3rd. I'm kind of late to the game, but finally managed my second ATC for the Week One All Those Cats Challenge. Of course there are other themes, but you know I love me some KITTIES, to there ya go. Besides, this fits a few more challenges I wanted to participate in and today is the last day for the Outlawz Festive Fridays Card with Numbers theme and the new Twisted Thursdays Metallics theme. See that groovy disco ball?
The hilarious image is #2045 Katurday Night Fever by Sandra Caldwell, colored with Copics with a fair amount of Stickles on his suit and shirt. The numbers are from the Winnie White Christmas Big Kahuna Download kit from Polkadoodles.

Okay, so I wasn't going to craft today, but I'm lovin' the new Poe Stamps from Leigh SB Designs and could resist making a little ATC using Oddleigh Edgar Allan Poe and Raven and, because it's a PAR-Teh, they're sporting hats from the new Party Hats Fun pack. WooHoo! I probably should have thought the whole ATC thingy through before printing the stamps, since coloring the details was more than a bit challenging, but it was fun, if not so quick. Just don't look too closely. LOL I just love all of the Oddleigh characters, they're so fun and quirky.
So YAY, ME! I finally have a NEW make for the Poe Appreciation Blog Hop. There's still time to join in. All info below.
I'm having a really hard time keeping up with blogging, FB and creating for this 12 Days of Christmas event, but here is another cutie from Sandra Caldwell, #1060 Bearly a Snow Teddy, that I've made into an ATC to enter into the Wicked Wednesday Winter Challenge, as well as the Outlawz Festive Fridays for First Snowflake Day. Used a Martha Stewart punch for more icicles and Stickles for some sparkle, along with mirror flakes and a Tim Holtz sentiment sticker.
I'm also adding this to the DL.Art November Linky Challenge, A Snowflake's Promise Seasons, C.R.A.F.T. Christmas, Crafting by Designs Little Animals, Inspiration Destination ATG, Simon Says Stamp Christmas Critters, Crafty Creations Animals.
There's a new challenge at Dilly Beans and it's an easy one. Make an ATC. Just in case you aren't familiar, the dimension of Artist Trading Cards are 2 1/2" x 3 1/2". Other than that, anything goes ( with a Dilly Beans image, of course). Since Easter is on it's way, I've used the adorable Amalia Easter Bunny and printed her 3 times in a row. She's colored with Copics and I've printed "HOP" right over her eggs. the little flowers are brads and I've backed it with green burlap that I reminded me of Easter grass. Hope you hop on over to the Challenge Blog to see the great work by my teamies and come join in and play.
Been missing playing along over Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge and this week it's Anti-Valentine's Day. Couldn't miss the chance to use the adorable Anti-Valentine image from Aurora Wings one more time so here she is, this time in red and black. For some reason my printer won't calibrate and is printing my images with a shadow but c'est la vie. She's colored with Copics and mounted on thick textured paper by Sizzix. My cutter wouldn't cut it through so I ended up tearing the edges. Liked the distressed look so I used my Distrezz-it-All to distress the red mat as well and used my tiny attacher to put them together. The arrow tip is a heart shaped Alpha Bead and the sentiment is computer generated. Sorry for the crap picture but it's late, the artificial light in my laundry room is doing it no favors and the double image is making it look blurry. Not my night.
I'm also entering this in the Kenny K's Krafting Krew Distressed Edges Challenge.
Finally got to play at the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge again. I'm telling you, 2 week long challenges, back to back, almost did me in. This week the challenge is Zombies Need Love Too, sponsored by Rick St. Dennis so I thought I'd play along using his Singing Zombie digi. He was a freebie at one time, and then in the shop, but I don't see him anywhere now.
Anyway, he's colored with Copics, with Glossy Accents on the eyeballs and teeth. The sentiment was done with my Dymo and the fab brain is from my Minion sister Creepy Glo's Etsy Shoppe. Would you kiss him? Not me. Pretty sure brain breath stinks, don'tcha think?
Here's a little ATC for the Wicked Wednesday Spots and Stripes challenge. Yeah, I know, I'm always just under the wire for these but I think about them all week long, HONEST! Would have been earlier if the grocery stores hadn't been on overload for the Thanksgiving holiday, and of course, I've forgotten stuff with every visit. I don't often use stickers, but I have quite a few in my stash. This one came from the $1 bin at Mike's a couple of years ago. I AM a hug fan of Mary Engelbright and was devastated when her mag stopped being published, so I couldn't resist this cutie. Had a scrap of spotted and striped DP. Added some icicles and a snowfake cut with MS punches and I'm good to go. Yea!
I'm especially thrilled to be playing along with Wicked Wednesday this week because I met up with 3 of the DT gals and 2 of their daughters in Walnut Creek over the weekend. The challenge is Add a Feather sponsored by ADFD so I thought it fitting to use one of their sweet images. This is Peacock Magic. She's colored wth Copics and glittered within an inch of her life with Waterfall Stickles. After an exhaustive search I found my peacock feathers, only to find that they were too big for the ATC so I trimmed and layered some others and added them with a gem. More gems to balance, a glitter mat, and there ya go.
I'm also entering this in the Corrosive Fur and Feathers Challenge.
Here's the group of us after a huge breakfast Sunday. There's (L to R) Denice, all the way from Chicago, Cass and Mom Jenn, Kim and daughter Emily, and me.
We had an absolute ball. Got quite a few clowning around pix too that I'll spare you for now LOL, but I'm telling you, these gals are the BEST! Love and kisses to you all.
There's a new Challenge at Dilly Beans, and this week we want to see Ribbons. I wantd to do something different so I used my magic ribbon curling technique (click HERE for the tut) and used it for the hair on the adorable #405 Alliyah Framed. She was colored with Copics first, ran my ATG gun over the hair and then cut slits at the top and bottom for each strand and threaded the ribbon through. The felt daisy is from M's. This is actually ATC size and I left it that way to enter the Wicked Wednesday Crazy for Daisies Challenge. My teamies have done a fabulous job so be sure to visit the Challenge Blog and leave them some love. Hope to see you there and on our new Facebook Fan page too.
I'm also entering this in Creative Crafts Challenges2 Use Ribbon.
Wicked Wednesday's Challenge this week is Boy Oh Boy, sponsored by Jellypark so I thought it would be fitting to use one of their images. One of my faves is Dinosaur Boy. It makes me think of the book Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. I printed the image twice, once on regular card stock and once on some I'd spritzed with Dylusions Sprays through a potato sack for texture and then fussy cut and layered so the face and teeth weren't green. Couldn't resist the teeny google eyes. What can I say? The DP is from the DCWV Kids Safari Stack that I've had for years and never used. Got a kick out of the "chomp...chomp". Used some twine and a corduroy button to embellish (thought it looked "boyish" LOL). The team has done a fab job with this theme so be sure and check them out HERE and HERE and for once I'm early so there's still time to join in.
I'm also entering this in the Jellypark All About the Kids Challenge.
Wicked Wednesday ATC's is celebrating their 100th challenge with loads of fab prizes and I've almost missed the party. My party Zombie is from Rick St Dennis. He's no longer available, but there's a pretty reasonable facsimile at I Break for Stamps HErE. Gotta love him! Dp's from MME Lime Twist. Sorry for the short post, but it's pretty self explanatory and I'm running LATE! Congrats to you, Jenn and your fabulous team!
