Bah!Humbug! "Whateva" (Teen Card Challenge) and Stampotique CAS Challenge

When I saw this week's "Whateva!" teen card challenge at Bah! Humbug! I knew immediately that I'd be using one of the quirky Christmas stamps by Torrente/Penney for Stampotique. These stamps really have some " 'tude!" Then seeing the Stampotique Designers Challenge was a CAS card (seriously, do you believe two posts in this style in one week?) I figured combining the challenges made some sense. Meet "O Joy". Doesn't he look absolutely thrilled? LOL Tell me you haven't seen that look on plenty of teen faces. He's stamped and colored with Copics with the computer generated sentiment printed around him. He's cut and matted with Nesties Deckled Mega Rectangles and the card front itself is embossed with a 5x7 Cuttlebug snowflake folder. All that was added was an MS icicle punched border embossed with a Cuttlebug border folder. Pretty fit for a teen and CAS enough? Hope so. I'm also entering this is Ujjwal's Simple and Embossed challenge on Yvonne's Do More With Less Blog and Christmas Cards All Year 'Round June Challenge.

Guest Designer Spot, a Mini Tut, and a CHALLENGE

I'm so excited to be Guest Designer On Yvonne's Blog, Do More With Less. I'm in love with Yvonne's bright and happy style, her unique work with misting, and fabulous layouts. You MUST visit her blog for a look see. Yvonne mentioned she enjoyed my dimensional cards and wanted to see how they were created so I photographed the steps for my most recent BBTB2 design. I'd love to have you visit, comment, and participate in my challenge with a new dimensional creation of your own. (No, it doesn't have to be as fat as mine. LOL) This is the first challenge I've ever done and of course there's a prize (a good one from Custom Crops!), so please take a look HERE. (BTW, Custom Crops is having a FABULOUS Cricut sale. Don't miss it!) xxD

Hip Hop Hooray!

I wanted to play more with some of my new crafty goodies and decded to use my Spellbinder Grands Creative book pages dies to make a shaped card. The mat is also cut with another of the dies in the from the DCWV Flower Shower Stack. Then I colored up the new Tiddly Inks BunnyQ and colored her with Copics. The cute sentiment comes with this digi stamp too. Now how to embellish? I still had twine left out and thought it might be fun to make some tassels. Then I used a teeny flower punch, punched each flower 6 times and secured them with a tiny brad and ruffled the petals, then added a punched butterfly and a few adhesive pearls and called it done. Don't forget that the referral challenge at The Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog is still running and you and a friend have a chance to win free images. See the details HERE. And because it's Tiddly Tuesday, there is a sneak peek of new images (with a new cute Minnie already available in the shop HERE) and a freebie sentiment I'm sure you'll want to grab HERE. We're gearing up for a Birthday Bash. WooHoo!!

I've popped the circle, image and sentiment. Not much dimension for me, but I'm hoping it's enough to enter in the Papertake Weekly Truly Dimensional challenge. And the colored image qualifies me to enter Guest Designer Tesa's Coloring Challenge on Yvonne's Blog, Do More With Less. Guess who might just be the Guest Designer Next Week? HeeHee!

You're Just My Type

Instead of working on DT stuff I'm here screwing around on some "just for fun" challenges. First is Gingersnap Creations Random Redhead challenge which this week is typewriters. (Ya didn't think I'd let THAT one go by, did ya?) I KNEW I had some Graphic 45 paper I hadn't used so I was all up for this one and figured I could make a quickie. The typist and typewriter images are from the Communique Collection and the typewriter keys are punch outs from the Domestic Goddess Collection that I covered with clear epoxy stickers from J's. I designed a quick frame for them in Cricut Design Studio using George and then a tab from the From My Kitchen cartridges and printed it on my computer and stapled it on. Both the receipt and tiny calender are Tim Holtz Traveler Tissue Tapes (on SALE now at Custom Crops!)
The frame and keys are popped for dimension on a 5 1/4" square card. The corners are rounded with my Cropadile Corner Chomper. I'm also entering this is the Little Red Wagon Challenge which is Office Supplies. Finally, I'm entering this in Guest Designer Michelle's Challenge On Yvonne's (Do More With Less)Blog which is to do something out of your comfort zone. I'm a Cricut cutting, Cuttlebug embossing, stamp coloring kinda gal so I RARELY make a card that I "assemble" using primarily images, stickers or punch outs, etc that I didn't make myself. Okay, there's a little Cricut, but hey, you can't tell me that this looks remotely like my usual style. LOL
On Friday I scored BIG TIME at the Pleasanton Scrap Expo. All day yesterday I was lamenting the stuff I DiDN't get because I ran out of time but when I unpacked it all...HOLY SMOKES! I'm surprised my credit card didn't self destruct! So I'm outta here. Back to working on BBTB2. Yes, I ALWAYS wait 'til the last minute.
