Warm and Fuzzy Easter Wishes

There's something about Spring with Easter and all the cute baby animals that get me all warm and fuzzy.  Seems I just can't stop flocking these days.  LOL  Here's a sweet one that Jezzie insisted I make.  The adorable image is Chick and Kitten-Mama it's So Fluffy.  With a name like that, how could I not flock?  Got a chance to try out my new Spellbingers Grand Decorative Labels One to make this lacy shaped card.  I cut a cut a Spellbinger's nested Egg twice and cut it to look like the chick had just hatched. and added some time punched flowers and a little bow.

Here's a closeup of the image.  TOOO cute!    The kitty was flocked with white, the chick, printed again on yellow, fussy cut and flocked with yellow.  As you can see, the shading I've done on the images with my Copics still shows through.

Today is a special day for the Aurora Wings FB group.  We're celebrating 800+ members so hope you can stop by and play along with the contests to win fabulous images that will be going on all day HERE.  And there's still time to join in our very first Blog challenge HERE.  Hope to see you there.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:

Dilly Beans Bright Colors

This week our challenge at Dilly Beans is to use bright colors.  I decided to go CAS this time and let my Printmaster Platinum software do most of the work.  The adorable image is #407 Feeling Twitchy.  I resized her, lined her up and then changed her color to mimic a rainbow.  In my program you just do it the same way you would change text color.  Click on the image, go to format, then color, then choose.  I added rainbow stripes above and below the images, embossed the card base and scored the printed panel.  Love the rainbow ribbon (guess that was the whole inspiration).  The sentiment is computer generated and cut with Nesties Labels Two.  Be sure to visit the Challenge Blog to see what my  DT sisters came up with.  There are (will be) several adorable examples of the new Robots release and the Birthday sale is still going on.

I'm also entering this in the Crafting for All Seasons Bright Colors Challenge, The House That Stamps Built Cards with Scoring Challenge, and The Paper Shelter Clean and Simple Challenge.

Dilly Beans Love is in the Air

It's Friday and that means another fun challenge at the Dilly Beans Designers and Challenge Blog. Our theme this week is Love is in the Air. My first thought was of course Valentine's Day, but if we're lucky, love is in the air year 'round and I just couldn't resist Megan's new image Girl with Butterflies. This new digi is taken from one of Megan's original paintings and she is not the only in this fabulous new Dilly Beans release. I printed the image quite large and colored her similarly to the original painting (as you can see as an example in the store) with my Copics.

The image was printed twice so I could fussy cut the butterflies. They're popped in the center with the wings flying free and I've added pearlized hearts to their centers that I've cut off some Maya Road stick pins. There are tiny peals on their antennae and on her lashes as well. The black border of butterflies was done with my MS punch and glued just at the tips of their wings to the edge of the card. The theme of the week is spelled out in Alpha Beads. Be sure to check out the fab examples by my teamies and I have to say I've been very impressed with your challenge entries each week. Keep up the wonderful work! I'm also entering this in the Charisma Cardz Things with Wings Challenge, The Delightful Challenges Love Challenge, Crafting for all Seasons, and Simon Says Stamp (both also Love it in the Air).

Whimsical Wednesday Tag Challenge

Okay, it doesn't look like a tag, but I'm using some "artistic license" here. I made it as a tag, so it IS a tag. My DH looked at it and said "Why are you calling it a tag? Isn't it kinda BIG?". I'm calling is a tag because that's what the Whimsical Wednesday challenge is. Make a TAG! Honestly, I started out designing a proper tag, but it took on a life of it's own, and who am I to stop the creative juices when they're flowing like wine (No, I wasn't drinking when I made this, I promise!) Anyway, I had leftover bird parts (OOOh, that sounds like something the cats dragged in...literally, EEEeeewww) from my BBTB2 Challenge card this week and was afraid I'd lose them so I assembled another version. See the first HERE. The bird is from Florals Embellished and I cut it using the silhouette feature in two shades of blue (at 4 inches) and had enough cuts to actually do 3 versions (so you just may see version 3 showing up in the near future on something else. Hope you're not TOO bored with it.) Of course I had to cut a bunch of white bases, but they're easy compared to the silhouette cut. If you're gonna do this bird, cut it BIG, like I did and use the multi-cut feature on 2 and you'll be good to go. "Fly" came from Straight from the Nest and it's cut at 5 inches. The sizing on Cricut always cracks me up. It is 5 inches from the top of the "F" to the bottom of the swirl but it's 12 inches long! Yeah, I'd say it's a BIG tag! LOL

Nothing too fancy going on here. I welded the shadow of "Fly to the shadow of the bird using DS and then added the layers. I cut 2 extra regular white layers so I could pop the wings making it look a bit more like it's flying and then popped the whole thing on the tag. My bling is a little subtle. I've used adhesive pearls, but yes, it's a TAG! See the ribbon hangy things on top? So what would I use such a huge tag for? How about a big Graduation gift, like a computer, or TV or better yet, a CAR! Works for me. I'm also entering it in the Allsorts Challenge, Things with Wings, and the Anything Goes Challenge at a brand new Challenge Blog called Crafting for All Seasons.
