Guest DT Spot for Love to Create

It's my second post of the day and with any luck I'm still not up yet.  LOL  I'm thrilled to be joining the gals at Love to Create this week for their new Anything Goes Challenge sponsored by The Stamping Chef.  I just LOVE those smexy images and couldn't resist Better Than Tarzan so I totally thank Love to Create for giving me this opportunity to make a card for my man.  I've used DP's from Graphic 45 and DCWV and cut the aperture with my Nestied Lables 20.  The vines behind were cut with Spellbinders Shapeablilities Botanical Swirls.

No surprise I've colored her with red hair.  LOL  Besides my Copics, I've done some paper piecing of her outfit and headband.  The cute little leopard print heart stickers have been in my stash forever and the packaging is long gone.  Sentiment is computer generated in brown on kraft.  Be sure to stop by Love to Create to see the fab makes by the designers and come play along for a chance to win a prize from The Stamping Chef.

I'm entering this in The Stamping Chef Anything Goes Challenge #33, Eclectic Ellapu Card for a Man, Glitter and Sparkle Father's Day/Men's Cards, That Craft Place Men, Bearly Mine One for the Boys and the Fitztown Masculine Challenge.

Halloweenie 5 for Simply Steampunk

This little guy just melts my heart.  He's Halloweenie 5 from the Classic Collection Steampunks, my second showcase piece for Simply Steampunk.  The buggy Dp is from an MS 8x8 stack and I've used Glossy Accents on the giant beetle.  The web frame is also MS from a Punch Around the Page set and if you look closely, there's a bejeweled spider climbing up the flourish (read piece of scrap left on my messy table from????)  WooHoo, I recycled!  It was actually the sentiment (done with my Dymo) that made me go in this direction.  Didn't want anything too sissy and what little boy doesn't love bugs?

He's colored with Copics and I've fussy cut the frame and popped it for dimension.  His sweet, shy expression is what really gets to me.  Wouldn't he make a fab Father's Day or birthday card for your fave little man?  Or perhaps an "I'm sorry" or "Missing you" card?  In any case, he's hard to resist.  Please visit Simply Steampunk for more inspiration throughout the month and don't forget our Frame It Challenge runs through June 6th.  I'm entering this in the Left of Center Challenge (LOC theme), Shopping Our Stash Tool Shed Challenge (MS punch around the page set), the Artistic Inspirations Cards for Men Challenge, and That Craft Place Makes for Men Challenge.

Macabre Monday Bare Bones

This week at Haunted Design House our challenge is to create a dark, Gothic or Halloween themed "bare bones" project meaning CAS with no dimensional embellishments.  Guess I took that pretty literally.  LOL   Normally I have a problem with CAS, but I immediately thought of fellow Minion Ike's fabby Skellie Gossip and the card practically made itself.  In my Printmaster Platinum program I added a frame and sentiment, plunked it on the card and called it done.
Oh, not quite.  I did add a few shadows to the skellies with my Copics, but could this be any easier?  Woohoo!  Be sure to check out the rest of the Minion's fab examples at HDH and don't forget Wretched Wednesday for mid week inspiration and our winners from last week.  Hope to see you back again to join our challenge.  I'm telling you, you guys just keep getting better and better!

I'm also entering this in the That Craft Place Black and White Challenge, The Alphabet Challenge O for Only One Color Plus White, and Charisma Cardz No Embellishments.
