'Tis the Season (Final project for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Hop)

It's the last day of the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and I'd planned to do better, but I did mange a final ATC using the fun image by Sandra Caldwell called #2416 Coffee Collector.  She's colored with Copics with some gel pen accents and I've fussy cut her and popped her on a mini action wobble from Hop Sponsor Art Impressions.

See her in action here.

Thank you so much, Amy Tsuruta and Chaitali Narla for all of your hard work putting this Hop together and to all of the fabulous sponsors.  I've had a ball.

Dilly Beans Friendship Challenge

Happy Friday!  I'm kinda excited to be going to the Scrapbook Expo in Pleasanton today but I'm gonna try and not overdo it.  I still have stuff in bags from LAST YEAR that I'd forgotten I bought...OOOPS!  Everything always seems to look fabulously exciting when there's so much stuff, all in one place. Don'tcha think?

Before I go, however, I'd like to share the new Dilly Beans Challenge which is "Friendship".  I can't believe I haven't used the adorable #482 Turtle Stack before.  Aren't they the cutest?  To me they represent what friendship is all about.  Sure, there's  nothing better when you haven't a care in the world, but when the going gets tough, it's your very best friends that pull you though.

I had a ball coloring them up in beautiful Spring colors  (several times) and fussy cutting and layering them up for dimension.  All the yummy DP's were from the DCCWV Flower Shower Stack.  I especially love the quilt blocks behind.  Didn't want to hide them so I decided to do an easel card and put the computer generated sentiment on the base.  My DT sisters, whom I consider fabulous friends, have done especially beautiful work this week so be sure and visit and leave them some love.  Now it's ready, set, SHOP!  TTYL

I'm also entering this in the Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge where the Twist this week is 3D, the AI Check us Out Challenge using Gingham, Check or Plaid and Use Your Stuff Four Legged Friends (The "stuff" are the brads on the sentiment. I have a whole drawer full of 'em that I seldom use.  Hopefully I can resist the urge to add to them at the Expo. LOL  You think they're so cute and cheap until they check you out.  $50 on BRADS?  Are you KIDDING me?).

(Warning!) A Kinda Naughty Valentine

Okay, I'm warning you again that this may not be appropriate for all viewers so you might as well stop here if NC 17 is beyond your rating preference.  I think it's pretty cute though, and I'm hoping my man does too.  (Pretty dang sure he will) LOL  Naturally I've waited 'til the last day to enter Sparkle and Glitter Challenge with Rick St. Dennis but I wasn't quite sure what images to use until I bought some Junkyard Findings from Prima (you'll be seeing those later).  The challenge is Hearts and Hugs and I've colored up the cute Robotics 2//Out of this World and Robotics 101.  A match made in heaven, don'tcha think?  They're colored with Copics, fussy cut and he's popped and she's on an Action Wobble.  Tried hard to gt a pic of her shakin' her booty but it just didn't work out.  The hearts are Spellbinders.

This ended up being one fat card.  Here you can see a bit of the dimension.  She's been flipped to face him and her sentiment is computer generated.  Now the nex pic involves what he's hiding under his Valentine so you might wish to stop here or send the kiddiess out of the room, unless you feel like having "THAT" discussion right here and now.

Umm...what can I say?  The devil made me do it.  HeeHee!  This lightbulb was one of those Junkyard Findings.  I just couldn't resist.  The sentiment is a new one at ADFD.  Thought it was pretty perfect.

Both inside and out the embossing is from the Cricut Companion Robotz folders.  The sentiment (an understatement) again computer generated with some XOX stickers from Stidio 112.  Besides the Sparkle and Glitter Challenge, I'd also like to enter this in the AUD Sentiments Show us Your Inner Sentiments Challenge (bummer I missed the "adult themed" one, HA!), the Art Impressions Stamps Show Me the Love (hearts required) Challenge, Moving Along with the Times Love is in the Air Challenge, and the brand new Sincerely Yours Creations Valentine/Love Challenge.

Wishing you all a very Happy Valentine's Day filled with all the love (and chocolate) you can handle. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Macabre Monday Pass the Distressing, Please

It's another Macabre Monday at Haunted Design House and this week our challenge is Pass the Distressing, create a dark, Gothic or Halloween based project that's smeared, smudged and distressed in some way in honor of our fabulous sponsor, Smeared Ink.  Is there anything more distressing than going to the doctor?  Worse yet, for surgery?  I say "NOOOOO"!!!!! so I've used the super sadistic Dr. Doctor.  He's colored with Copics and has just removed his blood smeared glove.  His incision was less than pristine, I'd say.  Looks more ripped apart (yeah, that would be it) and his suturing...eiyiyi!  And just where DID he leave that scalpel (or should I say saw)?  This was a fun one, and the Minions had a ball with the fabulous digi's from Smeared Ink.  Be sure to check out their fab inspiration HERE and don't forget to visit again on Wretched Wednesday, when Creepy Glo and whoever else slacked off over the weekend display their creeptastic offerings.  And for all you interested in some skulduggery, June 4th is again Skull Appreciation Day.  To participate in the fabulous hop, or to just follow along, click the badge on my sidebar.  Hope to see you there.

I'm also entering this in the Dream Valley Humor Challenge, The Order of Opus Gluei Sew What challenge, and Art Impressions Anything Medical Challenge.

Dilly Beans Glitter Challenge

OOOh we've got a fun one for the girly girls over at the Dilly Beans Designers and Challenge Blog this week. Glitter! It's been awhile since I've glitzed things up so this was especially fun. I used the gorgeous #223 Ladybug Fairy and tried something new. After coloring her with Copics, I used a Zig Embossing pen and Stampin' Up heat and stick powder to fill in the areas I wanted to glitter and heated them up and sprinkled it on. You have to do it one color at a time and be careful not to heat the already glittered areas as you progress or you'll melt it and lose some of the sparkle. On the wings, I used a fine point pen to try to draw in the details that were covered over by the gold glitter and the ladybug's antennae which worked ok. But in general, I'm really pleased how this turned out and you don't have to sait for it to dry like you do with Stickles. (I'm the really impatient type.) The green circle mat was cut with my Nesties out of Glitter paper and the flowers are Prima. I cut the glitter leaves out of a much larger home decor glitter leaf from Michaels. The DP is K &Co which has a bit of foil detail so I matted the entire card in green foil card stock for some contrast to all the glitter. In the end I did have to wait for some Glossy Accents to dry on the bug, lips and eyes but by then the card was done. WooHoo! Be sure to stop over to The Dilly Beans Challenge Blog for more fab inspiration, and also to the Dilly Beans Shop for a super deal on retiring images.
