Happy 4th!
Ummm, well... Apparently I didn't finish all I had planned, nor recover as quickly from our 4th of July party and just managed to sneak in this tag in time for a few challenges. I'll definitely be ready for next year though, eh? The American Flag Quilt die is from Gina Marie minus one of the stripes so I could fit in on the triple banner tag die from Sizzix. The ribbon and sequin cluster is actually a ponytail holder I had bought on sale (when???) for just this kind of crafty project. WooHoo!

Have a Wicked Birthday
Again playing with one of the Faery Ink Unicorn Masquerade Birthday stamps from the FB Group event last weekend and this wicked chick is Ophelia. I LUUURVE her! Made it a tag for the Outlawz Saturday Paper Ala Mode challenge and birthday for the Festive Fridays Birthday theme. She's colored with Copics and I printed her originally without her mask (AFTER coloring, of course) and then realized she needed it for the costume contest so I printed her again, fussy cut the mask and popped it on her face. Used my fave color scheme of Red, Black &White. The tag was cut and matted with Spellbinders Labels 25 and added a Memory Box Small Spiderweb Frame. "wicked" was cut with a Tim Holtz Halloween words die and the rest of the sentiment was done with my Dymo label maker. Cool fibers are from my stash.

Winter Friends Tag
I went shopping yesterday on Digi Choosday at Polkadoodles and did some major damage. I love the sweet images and fabulous kits and just couldn't resist the Winnie White Christmas Big Kahuna Download kit. Not only did it have all of the adorable black and white digis I'd been eyeing, to color at my leisure, but also GOBS of papers, elements, precolored images...the list goes on and on!
I didn't have a whole lot of time, but I wanted to try out my new goodies and join in the Outlawz Festive Friday challenge using the theme Winter Friends so I opened my Printmaster Platinum program and started playing. I digitally assembled this tag using the tag itself plus the precolored trees, and cute snowman and friends. Thought that little bird would look cute on a branch, layered some snowflakes and printed it out. WOW! I was so impressed with the quality I can't wait to do more.
I cut the tag out, punched a hole at the top and added a punched reinforcement in a coordinating print that was just laying on my table. Strung some twine from DL.Art and added some Nuvo Drops to the snowflakee centers and Nuvo glitter glue to the snow (which doesn't seem to want to show up) and called it done. LOVE it!

Hot Chocolate for Festive Fridays
Here's one for the Outlawz Festive Fridays "hot chocolate" theme using the the adorable #1967 Snowman Cocoa Cup by Sandra Caldwell. I've made a large tag with papers from the Recollections Warm Wishes stack with a band to hold a candy cane 'cause what better way to stir up your melted marshmallows?
Here's a closeup of #1967 Snowman Cocoa Cup. He's colored with Copics and cut with a Double Stitched Circle Die from Kat Scrappiness. Warm Winter Wishes to you.

Christmas Package Kat
Here's a new release by Sandra Caldwell called #1772 Christmas Package Kat, in her Etsy Shop today, along with a whole bunch of new cuties. I though he'd make an adorable Christmas tag and used papers from Peppermint Forest and my Stitched Tags dies from Gina Marie. The crinkle ribbon is from DL.Art.
Here's his closeup. I colored him with Copics using colors from the DP and decided to make him a Siamese, in honor of my very first kitty, Twinkle and also my friend Fiki's very "purr"sonable kitty, Coffee.
I'm also sad to say that this is my last post as a Design Team member for Sandra Caldwell, but certainly not the last creation I'l be making with her fun and amazing digis. I plan to remain an active member of the FB Fan Group and friends with the lovely gals I've met there. Thanks so much for your support and friendship. The rest of September AND the year is going to be a busy time for me so I've decided to lessen my DT responsibilities for now.

Bloobel Baby Tag
I seem to have a problem getting things posted these days. Kind of hot and our upstairs air has been out due to a rerouting of the air ducts in the attic project that hubby seemed to have forgotten all about...ahem. A few sleepless nights did the trick, along with a massive cool down so here we go. Adorable tag with this sweet Baby Giraffe image (only 1.50! You need him!) from Bloobel Stamps with gorgeous hand dyed crinkle ribbon from Mermaid's Tale Third Edition from DL.Art. Argyle DP from the ancient DCWV Nana's Nursery Boy's Stack. Gingham on my desk from another project? (Hey, could have been years ago) Colors and "not a card" for the Outlawz Tuesday Color challenge.
I'm adding this to the DL.Art May Linky challenge, TTRCD May2-9 AG, 2 Crafty Critter Crazies (AG with Animals), Craft Dee BowZ May AG w/handmade bow, Crafty Animals May AG, Cute Card Thursday AG, 613 Avenue Create April AG , Animal Friends Anything but a Card and Crafty Hazelnut's May Patterned Paper challenge.

But I'm not tired yet!
It's the last day for the Limited Runs Stamps February/March FB Progressive Challenge and as usual I'm just under the wire. You can read about it HERE. Little Boy is in the shop at regular price now, but you can preview or purchase the digi for March/April if you did not participate in this last month's round.
I made a tag using DP from K&Co Itsy Bitsy 8x8 stack and colored Little Boy with Copics accordingly. I couldn't help but add some googly eyes. HeeHee! I purchased the Die-versions Moon and Cloud die specifically to use with this stamp and had planned to use the sentiment "Goodnight, moon" until yesterday when we changed to Daylight Savings and lost an hour. I don't know about you, but it takes me FOREVER to adjust to a time change.
I cut the Moon and cloud 3 times to layer and embossed the cloud with a Cuttlebug folder. Then added a little teddy charm tied with twine from DL.Art and some crinkle ribbon from the Spring Bundle 1 and Baby Bundle. The sentiment is computer generated.
I'm also adding this to the DL.Art March Linky Challenge, the Cutie Pie Challenge Dies and Digis, Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #53 AG, and Happy Little Stampers March AG with Dies.

Let's Go Skating!
I made this cute tag for one of the Outlawz Festive Friday themes. Naturally I got it in just under the wire (new themes started today) but I HAD to do this one, for sure. There are always 4 themes to choose from each week and the first I decided to do was "Let's Go Skating". The adorable image is #957 Ice Skating Girly by Sandra Caldwell. The background is from the Let it Snow Jewel It set from Gecko Galz on which I've digitally added a skating rink from a photo I'd cropped and tweaked to fit my background. Then I used Flower Soft snow to blur the crop and better integrate it into the design. The gorgeous crinkle ribbon is from a combo of Steel Blue from the Blues Bundle and Silvery Hues Sea from the Mermaids Tale Second edition from DL.Art. I've also added little skates from Tim Holtz, attached with a tiny paper clip.
Here's a closeup of Ice Skating Girly. I removed the background from her in the Lunapic photo program and added her the the digital background in my Printmaster Platinum program before printing the scene. Then I colored her with Copics, cut a pom pom in two and glued the fluff to her earmuffs with Fabric Tack.
Ice skating is dear to my heart because I took lessons from the time I was 5 until age 12. It was a special Daddy and daughter time. Here's a picture at an outdoor rink when I was just starting to skate (circa 1959 or early 1960). I still have the sweater he's wearing and it actually fits me now. LOL My Dad was a fabulous skater, an ice dancer actually, and I always felt so special skating with him. He even built a rink in our backyard for me to practice on for years when the weather permitted. Very fond memories but I better stop now. Getting kind of teary eyed. Once a Daddy's Girls ALWAYS a Daddy's Girl. xxx
I'm adding this to the DL.Art Thankful Thursday Winter Challenge, the Craft Rocket Challenge Add a Bow, Simon Says Wednesday Anything but a Card, and the Sisterhood of Crafters Celebrating January.

2 Tags from Scrap N' Dipity
I don't know about you, but I'm WAAAY ADD today. It's nearing the end of the month and there are lots of challenges I want to enter. There are still several things going on in conjunction with the 12 Days of Christmas on the Markers! Papers! Digis! FB Group. Here are 2 of the 3 tags I've made using the Not-So- Helpful Xmas Penguins from Scrap N' Dipity. (only $1.00 through November 30th so HURRY!) I printed this first little guy on some Digi paper from Gecko Galz that I sort of compressed into a tag shape in my printing program. Added a little trim on the bottom, some candy cane ribbon and a sticker sentiment from my stash.
I colored the little guy with Copics and I've used Sparkle Fluff flocking on his ear muffs and some gel pen on the ornament cap. then I carefully cut away the bulb and added one of the freebie Christmas Bulbs from Scrap N' Dipity that I sized to fit and covered in Diamond Glaze for shine.
I'm entering this in the DL.Art November Linky Challenge and Creatalicious ATG w/optional sentiment.
The second little penguin is looks like an outdoorsman, so I created a little winter wonderland for him using a background from one of the Gecko Galz "Jewel It's". I colored him with Copics and used a "Snow Writer" (I had to reconstitute because it was so old) to add dimension to his hat. I sprinkled glitter on it before it was dry because I also wanted to enter this in the Scrap N' Dipity November Glitter challenge. I also used some Stickles to highlight the snow in places and some epoxy snowflakes with star centers.
Had one heck of a time getting a "glitter shot" but here ya go.
I'm also entering this in the Creatures and Critters November Linky w/optional create an outdoor scene, the Dream Valley Winter Animals, Glitter and Sparkle Blue and White, Holly Jolly Christmas Anything but a Card, Come and Get it Baby it's Cold Outside and the Outlawz Tuesday Color challenge.

Cat Lover's Blog Hop Day 4
Okay, this is getting serious! I'm behind in my DT work but all I can think about are KITTIES! So here's a quickie post and a fast tag. Thanks, KT for reminding me that I have Halloween Bingo cards. The hilarious image is #627 Franken Kitty by Sandra Caldwell. I've added 2 sticker borders and a little sentiment from Authentique, and some ribbon from stash that I seemed to mostly cut off in my pic 'cause I'm in a hurry.
Here's a closeup of #627 Franken Kitty, just one of the adorable kitty digis Sandra has in her Etsy Shop for every occasion. He's colored with Copics and cut with Spellbinders Deckle Rectangles and inked with Black Soot before removing from the die.
Having way too much fun at the Cat Lover's Hop at Her Peaceful Garden. Hope to finish many more projects when I'm done with my DT stuff that's due TODAY (and I haven't even finished coloring) YIKES! I'm also entering this in the SUYP Meowloween Challenge and Simon Says Wednesday ATG.

Bearly a Clown Standing Shaker Tag
While checking out my fave Challenge Blogs I noticed a number of them calling for shakers, plastic, and/or recycling. I'd been saving some packaging from facial blotter sheets (the curse of oily skin) thinking that it would be fun some day to make a shaker tag, (great for a child's birthday) and today was the day.
I started with an adorable image from Sandra Caldwell called Bearly a Clown. I sized him for the opening in my packaging and colored him with Copics in bright circus colors. I popped him in the opening and added sequins and tiny beads to shake. BTW, I've been playing on the Sandra Caldwell Stamp Fans FB Group and having loads of fun. Besides a really nice Group of gals, and a Progressive Challenge, Sandra pops up with some sneaky contests where you can win her cute quirky stamps. Ya never know when, or what she might have up her sleeve.
The packaging actually stands and to cover the sides where it opens, I've added triangles of card stock. In the back, there's room for a pocket for a gift card and Birthday message. The topper was made with a Martha Stewart punch. The bright curled ribbon adds a festive touch, don'tcha think? Wanna know how it's done? I thought so.
I thought I already had a tutorial for this on my Blog and could just link back, but I realized it was done for Custom Crops, which is no longer in business, so all the tuts and .cut files I did for them are no longer available... BUMMER! I wish I'd thought to take pix while I was curling all of these yesterday. but I'll work on another because a pic is worth a thousand words (although that won't stop me from gabbing here.) LOL
Although you can use any width of ribbon, I find the 1/8 inch works best with the small bamboo skewers. Tie tightly, an inch or so from the end, and wind ribbon around the skewer as closely as possible. Tie tightly at other end, again leaving some bare skewer and spray with Fabric Sizing on all sides. Blot with a paper towel, if necessary. Place skewers on rim of the baking sheet (so ribbon has no chance of sticking or burning) and bake in a 200 degree oven for twenty minutes. Remove from oven, let cool, and slide or unwrap the ribbon. If kinks develop, pull straight and let it rewind until kinks are gone. It will stay curled.
I'm entering this in the 613 Avenue Create ATG/with Optional Twist Make a Shaker Project, Simon Says Monday Upcycle/Recycle, Simon Says Wednesday Shake it Up, Shopping Our Stash Fantastic Plastic, Creative Fingers ATG, the DL.Art February Linky Challenge, the Outlawz Twisted Thursday ATG/w Optional Ribbon Lace or Twine , Really Reasonable Ribbon Celebrate with Ribbon or Trim, Ai Shake Rattle and Roll, and the Southern Girls Add a Little Sparkle to Your Life (the sequins).

Lacy Sunshine Things With Wings
Our new Challenge at Lacy Sunshine is Things With Wings and the DT is using the gorgeous new Enchantresses for our projects. I've chose the sweet Honeybee Enchantress. Isn't she just precious? I've made a large tag in non Valentine colors (in case I want to use it for something else). The hearts are printed from the fabulous new Vintage Honeybee Collection digi paper from My Artistic Adventures. I've added burlap ribbon, crocheted and paper flowers with button centers, some twine and a metal hive for embellies.
Honeybee is colored with Copics and pencils with yellow Liquid Pearls for the honey and Stardust Stickles on the bee's wings. She's fussy cut and popped atop the layered hearts.
Here's the dimensional view. I hope you can come join us for our Things With Wings Challenge, and those of you who used a Lacy Sunshine image in the last challenge, don't forget to email Audrey for your free Loyalty Program digi. (She's just GORGEOUS!) And for those who didn't, she is half price at the Shoppe. WooHoo!

Christmas Tree Sprite - New Release from Aurora Wings
Today I'm hanging with the Aurora Wings Showcase Team again and am very excited to introduce the adorable new release, Christmas Tree Sprite, debuting today at Aurora Wings on Etsy and the Aurora Wings Digi Shop. I just love all Mitzi's Sprites, they're so sweet and whimsical, and he is no exception. A must for Christmas, don'tcha think? I thought he'd make a great tag to go on a special present. The tag was cut with my trimmer and I've used a MS Gingerbread punch along the bottom.
Isn't he the sweetest? He's colored with Copics and I've used Card Candy and adhesive beads for his ornaments. The star on top is a glitter sticker from JoLee's.
I actually printed him 7 times to get the dimension I was going for. I don't scan my images for layering each layer was colored individually, fussy cut and popped. He's standing on some mini blocks (with a hug and a kiss) and I've added some buttons and ribbon to finish it off. For more inspiration, be sure to visit the Showcase Blog to see the gorgeous creations by the Showcase Team.
I'm entering this in the C.R.A.F.T. Happy "Owl" Hallows Eve
I seem to be in a tag mode and found some adorable Steampunk digi stamps at SCACD. I immediately fell in love with Victorian Steampunk Owl by Carmen Medlin and thought she (or he? the owl, not Carmen LOL) would be fun for Halloween. The clockwork DP is from Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells.
I colored Victorian Steampunk Owl with Copics and gel pens and fussy cut and popped her atop a Memory Box Gear Assembly die. Added round epoxy stickers to her eyes and light bulb tummy to make them shine. I can totally see this stamp in other colorways, for various occasions, but if you'e into owls, there is a whole collection of owl digi stamps at SCACD.
Although the Memory Box Gear Assembly is now sold out, SCACD has a bunch of fab dies, even some exclusives, like this Steampunk Wings Pair. Don't they make a great tag topper? I've use my Spellbinders Postage Stamp die and a Tim Holtz metal gear to reinforce the hole on top. Ribbon is from my stash.
Finally, I've added a Tim Holtz monocle and attached it to the die cut with a fastener to capture the sentiment done with stickers from Authentique. Some mini gears complete the Steampunk theme.
I'm entering my tag in the Simon Says Monday "O" is for (owl) Challenge, Crafty Sentiments Things That Start with "G" (gears) Challenge, Outlawz Twisted Thursday ATG/Favorite Technique Challenge (fussy cutting and die cuts), Papertake Weekly Superfly, the Fitztown Challenge Halloween using Digital Elements, Melonheadz Friends Lots of Layers, Marker Pop Challenge #54 Halloween, Through the Purple Haze Wings and Bling, and the Corrosive October Halloween Challenge and the Simply Steampunk October Color Challenge Black/Cream/ and Orange.

New Lucy Loo 'Mad Hatter'
Today I'm posting on the East Wind Show Room Blog and featuring the brand new Lucy Loo 'Mad Hatter', available TODAY in The East Wind Etsy Shop. I couldn't be more thrilled. I'm a huge AIW fan and Unky does these characters proud. I've made a tag with a base that has been moved around my table for several years and the fab DP's from Graphic 45 Halloween in Wonderland. The tattered clock die is Tim Holtz and I've added some tea time charms from my stash.
Doesn't Lucy Loo make a fab Mad Hatter? It's all in the attitude (or should I say "hattitude"). I've colored her with Copics and fussy cut her to pop on the tag. Stay tuned for more AIW characters from The East Wind. You might just fall down the rabbit hole.

Gecko Galz Summer Cheesecake Challenge
I've been a member of the fun Gecko Galz Group for quite awhile but don't often get to play in their challenges. Fripperies and Butterflies offered a fab collage sheet for free and a fun challenge that I couldn't resist. Made the tag with an image from the Collage sheet and used DP's from Graphic 45 Domestic Goddess. Thought the image begged for that sentiment. LOL Nothin' like waiting 'til the last day!
And another. I adore pin ups! Forgot how much fun it is to create with Collage sheets. My printer is acting funky, though.

Lucy Loo 'Magnified Star'
There's a new release at The East Wind Shop today; Lucy Loo 'Magnified Star'. I so love the funky Steampunk reference that I just HAD to create with her. I've made a giant tag using star studded DP I've had in my stash FOREVER, and a cool portion from the DCWV Tattered Time stack.
I've colored lucy with Copics and metalllic gel pens and used epoxy rounds on her goggles and tiny gauge. On top of the rounds, I've layered a small mirror round and star as well.
The sentiment was computer generated. The dimensional star behind her is from a Brenda Walton for Sizzix die cut from matte metallic CS and grunged up a bit with Distress Inks and Rub'n Buff. The silver flake stars are from Sticko and the bronze one in the middle of the bottom was cut with a Spellbinders star die and scored and made dimensional as well. Thought it might be cool for graduation for that special Steampunk lovin' gal. Be sure to check out our Facebook Group where you can get all the scoop on brand new digi's each Monday and Friday. There's a great contest ,"Something Out of the Norm" going on through June 17th, and there's just one day left for our current Blog Challenge, Embossing Wet or Dry. Hope to see you there.
I'm entering this in the Flat Friends Anything but a Card Challenge, CCC Digi Creations Use a Digi/Die Cut, Desert Islands Crafters Challenge #78 (using 1,2,3,4 and 8), and Craftitude Pop it Up.

Lacy Sunshine Anything Goes
This is my second post of the day, so please scroll down for my Dilly Beans DT card for the new Challenge.
Here's a little tag I did for the current challenge at the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog. Although I started it using the freebie I got from the Loyalty Plan (use any LS image for one challenge, get the next Challenge image as a freebie) from the last challenge but didn't quite get it done, it totally works for Anything Goes this time. I've made a Spring tag using my Cricut for the garden gate. It was designed in DS using the Picturesque cartridge with the "Spring" header from Stretch Your Imagination. The pieces were then embossed with the Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes folder.
The adorable image is Gemma's Spring Gumdrops. Could she possibly be any cuter? I've printed her several times in several sizes so I could fussy cut her flower, colored her with Copics and fussy cut and popped her in front of the fence. The flower on her head is popped as well and there are two more growing beside her on the other side of the gate.
As you can see, the tag is quite dimensional. The DP behind is from an old DCWV sack and I've added a little punched butterfly and Prima flowers to the top of the gate.
I'm also adding this to the 4 Crafty Chicks Spring Challenge, C.R.A.F.T Challenge What Season Where You Are, Art Impressions "Getting Girly", Outlawz Twisted Thursday Add a Butterfly, Creative Knockouts Texturize it, Cute Card Thursday Floral Delights, Southern Girls Floral Frenzy, Stampavie and More Girly, TTRCD ATG Mar 25th -31, Tuesday Throwdown Digi Dimension, All-Crafts Challenge Anything but a Card, Artistic Inspirations ATG, Created with Love Girly Challenge, 613 Ave Create ATG, Whoopsie Daisy Welcome Spring, Catered Crop Spring Fever, Craft a Scene Let it be Spring, Eclectic Ellapu Flowers and Butterfies, and Robin's Fetish Anything but a Card.

The Octopode Factory Witches Challenge
So happy to finally play along with The Octopode Factory Friday Challenge again. Lily's images are some of the most whimsical stamps on the net and a definite FAVE of mine. This fortnight's challenge is Witches and I've use the newest Gloomsville witch, available separately or with the Gloomsville set for my tag or bookmark. Kinda went all Dr. Seuss for this. When I was considering what to do, this came to me and STUCK! Cropped the image in my Printmaster program and of course, the words are computer generated. Colored with Copics, inked with Distress and stamped with Tim Holtz rubber. The twine colors match the witches. Hope you get a kick out of it.

Lacy Sunshine Dies and/or Punches
I had a great time playing at the Lacy Sunshine Facebook Fan page during their Friday the 13th celebration in honor of the new Lady Heather's Curiousities Release. It was my LUCKY day as I won several of the new creepy but cute (be still my heart!) images so I wanted to color one right up to use in the current Dies and/or Punches Challenge on the Challenge Blog. Just in time, too. WooHoo! I've made a tag using my Nesties Arched Windows and Memory Box Small Spider Web. The full moon behind is also a Nesties and the Tombstone is Cuttlebug. The fence around the scene is Martha Stewart so I think I've got that all covered.
The adorable image is Myra Mains (HeeHee! say that slowly, pretty cute, eh?). I printed her twice, colored her with Copics fussy cut, and popped the roses. I used the color scheme to fit with the current Red and Black challenge at PunkYouGirl. Myra is just one of a whole host of new creepy cute images available at the Lacy Sunshine shop under Lady Heather's Curiosities and Melancholy Moppets. Have to say, I want them ALL!
Had a bit of a time photographing the dimension, but this is my best shot. Gotta hurry and get this entered but you've got to check out the cool loyalty program they've got going, too. It's explained on the Challenge post. Have a great weekend. I think I'm gonna be coloring.
I'm also entering this in the Left of Center challenge #14 No Designer Papers AND LOC.
