Wicked Wednesday ATC Pin-Up Challenge

Unfortunately I missed the last couple Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenges but I just HAD to make time for this week's Pin-Up Girls, a subject near and dear to my heart.  My Daddy was an artist and was particularly fond of drawing Vargas Girls.  I didn't really realize it until I found a  bunch of his sketches in the attic of my childhood home when I was cleaning it out to sell.  You see, Daddy was a romantic for sure, but a little shy, so when I saw the sketches, I have to say I was more than a little surprised.  Since then we've collected a number of Vargas prints and have them hanging in our pool (table) room.  I think they're beautiful, but when the MIL comes, we strip the walls and hide them in the attic.  LOL

Anyway, this is hardly a Vargas Girl, but I fell in love with the image used by WW DT member Megan on a previous challenge.  It's Angel Heart from Stitchy Bear.  She's actually a cupid but I've cropped her bow and quill, along with her wings, and drew a bit more hair in.  I think she makes an adorable pin-up.  "Cheeky"  (done with my Dymo) for sure!  Thanks for a great challenge, girls!

I'm also entering it in the One Stitch at a Time Anything Goes Challenge.

Dilly Beans "Green" Challenge

Our challenge this week at Dilly Beans is "Green".  I wasn't exactly sure what to do for this until I came across a shamrock I'd cut with my Cricut LAST YEAR around this time (think I need to clean off my table?  LOL) and decided that the cute Adrianna (#484) would make an adorable leprechan.  I found her hat on #329 Top Hat Snowman, paper pieced the lot and added an epoxy sticker.  the embossing was done right on the card blank using one of my Cuttlebug border folders which I trimmed out with black peel-offs.  Conveniently, I was able to find every other Alpha Bead letter in my sentiment in green.  WooHoo!  Please visit Dilly Beans a little later today to see the fab work by my teamies and "Go Green" this week to play along.

I'm also entering this in the following challenges:

Macabre Monday Bad Moon Rising

It's another Macabre Monday at Haunted Design House and I must say it's safe to view.  LOL  Our challenge this week is Bad Moon Rising, create a dark, Gothic or Halloween based project featuring a big bad moon as the focal point, be it full, crescent, waxing or waning.  We have a fab new sponsor, On Cupcake Moon with a generous $15 credit to any of her shops, be it her Website, or Etsy, or Cafe Press.  And if you can't wait, there's a special sale going on until the end of the month (details on HDH).  My card is a diorama with the window cut with Nesties Labels Seventeen.
The sweet image is colored with Copics and fussy cut without the moon.  I then used my Printmaster Pro program to crop the image  to the moon only and them flip the half moon to create a full one and fussy cut that as well so I could create the 3D image to pop within the frame. The moon was printed and covered with Be Creative Tape and covered in micro fine glitter that allowed me to color it over with Copics with no damage to the markers.
Obviously I was having a withdrawels from my recent CAS projects and loaded up with baby within an inch of it's life.  I've got an MS punches, Raindot bats and stars, loads of bling, Prima flowers and gems galore along with glitter letter stickers for the sentiment.  Gotta say, more is never enough!  So how about that?  And see the dimension?  WooHoo!  Had a ball here and so did my DT sisters, so be sure to check out HDH and leave them some love.  And don't forget Wretched Wednesday when the winners from last week are revealed and we're honored by Creepy Glo's fab creation.

I'm also entering this in the One Stitch at a Time Use a Digi Challenge, Speedy Fox and Friends Try a Different FoldSweet Stampin' Out of the Frame Challenge, The Poodles Parlour Winged Things, Cute Card Thursday Bling it Up, and Delightful Challenges Fancy and Frilly.

Macabre Monday Hiding in the Corners

Our challenge this week at HDH is Hiding in the Corners.  Create a dark, gothic or Halloween based project and embellish the heck out of the corner spaces.  Easy peasy.  We're sponsored by Stitchy Bear and I've used Alexandria for may main gal.  She's colored with Copics and popped a top a fab hexagon image I copped from the net.  Her sisters (in silhouette) are from the Which Witch collection.  I added them digitally to the background twice, once in light gray and again in black.  The silhouette kitty and bats were also added digitally.  My corners are embellished with Recollections swirls and stars from M's. The Minions have super eye candy this week, some of which are from the original artwork from the Minion sisters themselves who are represented by Stitchy Bear so be sure to visit HDH and feast your eyes.

Macabre Monday Gothic Pin-Ups Challenge Sponsored by Tiddly Inks

This week's Macabre Monday challenge at Haunted Design House is Gothic Pin-Ups sponsored by Tiddly Inks. It's hard to creep these beauties up too much so I went for the comedy (at least I thought so, LOL) Here's Blow Me Away and oops, looks like she landed in Hell. Naughty, naughty! The background paper is from the net and the "Oh Hell" was computer generated and cut and matted with Nesties Inverted Scalloped Circles. The rest of the sentiment is a Stampotique stamp. Hell of a way to get a Brazillian, eh? Now scurry to HDH to see more fab inspiration and come play along for a chance to win a $10 certificate to the Tiddly Inks Store. Lots of fun new images! So dark, sexy, cute, creepy, what's YOUR interpretation of Gothic Pin-Ups? See ya there. I'm also entering this in the One Stitch at a Time Challenge, which is Make it Sassy. Geee, ya think?

Macabre Monday Hacked to Bits Challenge (and Various Mother's Day Challenges...YIKES!) WARNING! Possibly Offensive!

Okay, before we even go there. I need to do a bit of a disclaimer. I was having a bit of a challenge with my Macabre Monday Hacked to Bits Challenge when I remembered this adorable image from Limited Runs Stamps. Little Madison with Hatchet, one of the Grimms, reminded me a bit of Lizzie Borden so...well, there ya go. What followed was a bit of my twisted humor which in no way reflects my opinion of my own Mom, or any Mom I know or have ever known so I really don't hope to offend here. Please blame the humor on WAY too much wine at Sunday Brunch and please forgive. The image included a collection of 6 of the images which I resized, then copied an pasted, until I got 54 of the little dears and then trimmed it down to 40. Then I made the computer generated sentiment and overstamped the whole shebang using the by Smeared Ink Inky Dreams Set in Aged Mahogany Distress ink. The sentiment was cut and matted using Nesties Labels Seventeen. I actually tried to hack my original attempt with an axe but it sort of made a mess, so instead I blew up the single Madison with Hatchet image and cut out just the hatchet to add to the front. The lovely roses are by Recollections from M's. Mom's Love roses!

Just in case you can't see some of the 40 little Madisons, here's a close up. Love doing my own DP! HeeHee!

And the beginning of the little Lizzie poem...

Now here's where I might be skating on thin ice. To whom would you send such a card? Well, all I could think about was Mother's Day, so here's the inside sentiment. Hoping I'm not going to lose followers over this! Check out s0me more Hacked to Bits Inspiration HERE AND because there are quite a few Mother's Day challenges out there I thought I'd stir up the pot a bit. (Besides, I've been dared by another of the Minions so ...) I'm also entering this in the following Mother's Day challenges (I'm not ALWAYS like this ladies, really, I'm not!): Simon Says Stamp, Mother's Day or Girly 2nd entry, Stampin'for the Weekend, One Stitch at a Time, Craft your Days Away, and I'm thinking I better quit while I'm ahead. Most are UK blogs and I'd hate to have my passport revoked.
