Happy 4th!

Ummm, well...  Apparently I didn't finish all I had planned, nor recover as quickly from our 4th of July party and just managed to sneak in this tag in time for a few challenges.  I'll definitely be ready for next year though, eh?  The American Flag Quilt die is from Gina Marie minus one of the stripes so I could fit in on the triple banner tag die from Sizzix.  The ribbon and sequin cluster is actually a ponytail holder I had bought on sale (when???) for just this kind of crafty project.  WooHoo!

I'm entering this in the Outlawz Tuesday Color Challenge, the DL.Art July Linky Challenge, the DL.Art Thankful Thursday Red White and Blue Challenge, Jo's Scrap Shack FFC#241 AG, Shopping Our Stash Geometric Patterns, Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #85 AG, Simon Says Wednesday Red, White, and/or Blue, Happy Little Stampers AG/Dies

New Challenge at The East Wind

Our new challenge is up at The East Wind.  Can you guess what it is?  Yup, the theme is PATRIOTIC which means include your country's flag colors.  The team is showcasing the July Freebie, Lucy Loo 'Right Side of Profile', you get by signing up for the TEW newsletter.   I've colored her with Copics and a bit of Prismacolor pencil work on her hair. The background is from Show us your Stars and Stripes collage sheet from Gecko Galz.  "Freedom" was already  on the image and I've added the rest of the sentiment with the Cuttlebug Typewriter Alphabet.  Sign up for the newsletter on the right side of the Challenge Blog, if you haven't already.  You'll get a free image each month and all the latest news. Woohoo!

Lets' Hear it for the Red, White and Blue!

We're wavin' flags and setting off fireworks for our Dilly Beans Patriotic Challenge this week and I've turned the new #562 Hypno Eyed Monster Framed into Uncle Sam using the hat from #329 Top Hat Snowman.  He's fussy cut and layered outside his frame (cut with a Nestie).  The fireworks are stickers, the flag a cupcake decoration and USA is from the Cuttlebug Curls and Swirls Alphabet (retired).  He's got stars in his eyes and on the fab Americana DP from BoBunny.  Come celebrate with us and check out the fab red, white and blue offerings from my teamies HERE.  And don't forget, there's still a sale going on at the Dilly Beans SHOP.
