Woohoo, it's time for another challenge at Simply Steampunk and that's exactly it: TIME. We want to see clocks or timepices on your projects. I call my piece, Cherish Every Moment Because Time Flies, using the adorable Jude from the Robert's Family Portraits Release. Wanted to do a little staging here, with antique toys, a memory of how quickly children grow up.
I've assembled a faux watch using pieces from Tim Holtz. Thought it would be fun to do something a bit different, for a change. Jude is colored with Copics and captured in the pocketwatch. The watch fob incorporates additional Steampunk embellishments. The team has done an outstanding job so be sure to visit them HERE, at Simply Steampunk. Remember, you must use an SBS Steampunk image to be considered for a prize but hopefully you snagged either a Freebie from our release hop or took advantage of the fabulous sale over the Memorial Day weekend. We can't wait to see what you come up with.

Well, last week we pulled out the red and green, but this week at Dilly Beans were asking for non-traditional Christmas colors. Let's see those pinks and aquas and limes, eh. You know every year I say I'm gonna get a jump on the holidays but I never do. As usual I'm feeling the stress BIG TIME so I couldn't help but choose #162 Zombie Christmas Elf (scroll down the page to find her and her buddy) because although I should be feeling jolly...well... Don't worry, I'll rally, I always do, but in the meantime this is as jolly as I get. LOL The whole card looks a little chaotic, imagine that! Still pretty fun to make with the flower soft fur trim, teeny buttons and glossy accent eyes. The sentiment is a combo of chipboard stickers from K&Co with a Cuttlebug snowflake. My teamies have a fabulous collection of Christmas joy so be sure and stop by the Challenge Blog later today and have a look. Ruby's Rainbow also has a Christmas with non Trad Colors as does the challenge at Pink by Design, so I'm entering it there as well. Ho, Ho, Ho!
There's a fun new release at Papelitos Stamps featuring the adorable Zoe and her friends. You can find out all about them at The Papelitos Challenge Blog. I have sweet little June who is sooo sad, missing her BFF. So sad, in fact that even her hair is blue! She's colored with Copics and I've added a tiny mirror tear. She looked so pretty, I decided to keep the whole card monochromatic. She's fussy cut and popped on a heart doily because she really loves her BFF. The sentiment is done with my Dymo Caption Maker. The crocheted flowers are from my forgotten stash. Want a chance to win her? Megan is having some computer woes so the Dilly Beans Challenge will be posted a bit late this week, but that doesn't mean you can't take a little peek at the challenge. We want you to pull out your RIBBONS. I must say I'm a bit of a ribbon collector and they seem to be multiplying. Sooo many ribbons, what to choose? Well, it's seems like I'm in kinda a Christmas mode at the mo and with all of the adorable Dilly Beans snowmen just waiting in the wings, I decided to pull one out. #310 Happy Snowman is one of my absolute FAVES! He's colored with Copics and backed by snowflakes from the Tim Holtz Snow Flurries Die. To keep my ribbon banners from fraying, I first used my ATG gun to tape the ribbon to strips of card stock and then cut the notched end. Easier to cut that way too.
