Dilly Beans DOTS!

It's another Dilly Beans Challenge and we're going Dotty!  I chose the funky #250 Framed Zombie Girl 1 for my project because her frustrated expression just cracks me up (besides the fact that the background already has some dots,  LOL)  She's with Copics according to the ancient DCWV dotty DP I found.  Her hair is paper pieced and I've added a dotty bow under her skullie barrette.  The sentiment is a Cuttlebug die and the question mark is a little joke about my phone.  It keeps cutting out on me so I end up walking around the house saying "Hello?" until the garbling stops.  Sooooo frustrating!  All this is mounted on a dotted embossed mat and I've got to stop now, 'cause I'm seeing spots.  Hope to see you at Dilly Beans

I'm also entering this in the Southern Girls Spotty Dots challenge, Left of Center (LOC theme), DL Art May linky Party, and Card Mania Spots and/or Stripes.

Dilly Beans PURPLE!

TGIF!!!  Yea, for sure.  It's another fun challenge at Dilly Beans Challenge Blog and this week it's the color purple.  I've become quite fond of that color and started singing about the flying purple people eater in my head so I added Nestie wings to Megan's cute #390 Dilly Monster and off she flew over #391 Heart Flowers.
The sentiment and heart flowers were printed right on the mat which was distresed with Milled Lavender and Dusty Concord, then I printed the flowers again to pop.  I wish I cold have done a video for this, because the little monster truly is a flutter on an action wobble and she looks so cute flitting about that she makes me giggle.  There are stunning purple creations from the DT so be cute to check them out, and don't forget today is the LAST DAY for the buy 10 get 10 free sale at the Dilly Beans Store.

I'm also entering this in the 4 Crafty Chicks Monochromatic Challenge, the Crop Stop Monochromatic Challenge, DRS Designs Flying FriendsLia's Stamps Things with Wings, Whimsy Stamps things with Wings, and the Southern Girls Things with Wings as well.   Finally, I'm adding to Simon Says Stamp Diamond Jubilee, Crown and/or Gems challenge.  Her crown certainly looks like a gem to me and of course it's all royal purple,  Finally, do pearls qualify?  I say yes!

Dilly Beans Pastel Challenge and (it's my birthday! shhh...)

It's Friday (yea!) AND my Birthday (double yea!!) so it's time for another Dilly Beans Challenge.  This week we're using pastels.  So soft and pretty, don'tcha think?  The DP's are Heidi Grace and I've used one of the new Amalia images, #398 Amalia's Daisy Crown.  The sentiment is a Basic Grey rub on.
I flipped the image and paper pieced her dress and some of the flowers so I'm entering it in this week's Delightful's Paper Piecing Challenge.  The rest is colored with Copics.   I think she's about the sweetest thing EVER!  (And BTW, she comes with wings too, if you'd prefer).  The mat is Nesties Labels 20 inked a bit with Spun Sugar Distress.
The fabulous sketch is the current Deconstructed Sketch #49.  LOVE how it allowed me to use all the different papers I wanted.  Thanks Jen for coming up with this just in time to use it on this card, or it still probably wouldn't be done.  LOL  Obviously I'll be adding this to the challenge there, as well and The Southern Girls Get Your Girly On Challenge, and Crafty Creations That's What Little Girls are Made of.

Be sure to check out the fabulous work by the rest of the DT and also the Dilly Beans Shop where Megan has a sale going on through April 30th.  Buy 3 and get one FREE!  Now it's time to go bask in Birthday glory so I'll see y'all later!

Dilly Beans Skulls and Skellies

This week at the Dilly Beans Designers and Challenge Blog our challenge is Skulls and Skellies. WooHoo! Right up my alley! Although there are tons of fabulous skellies at the Shop, I chose one of Megan's newest Dia de los Muertos #384 Sugar Skull and Flowers. I really got a kick out of his hair and just couldn't resist the sentiment. He's colored with Copics with a bit of gel pen detail. The little cross is cut with the new Spellbinder's die out of mirror card stock. His frame is my new Labels Twenty Three out of K&Co Portabello Road DP rimmed with peel off vines.

I printed the image a number of times to get the dimension I was looking for. Had to pump up that pompadour! There's lots of eye candy from my DT sisters so be sure and check out the fab inspiration at the Challenge Blog and we can't wait to see what you come up with. Please note that I woke up today and Blogger decided to suspend my commenting abilities. I've never had this happen before but I know others who have. Any ideas on how to fix this? How FRUSTRATING!

I'm also entering this in:

For Your Inspiration (FYI) Photo challenge using the lush foliage colors and the white bridge makes me think of the teeth of the skellie. Weird, I know, but honestly, that's what hit me.

Southern Girls You Got Something You Wanna Say? Quote Challenge (figured you gals might know something about big hair!) LOL
