Back to Nature with Bugaboo Stamps

I'm here guest designing again for Bugaboo Stamps and this week's challenge at Catch the Bug is Back to Nature.  I'm featuring the beautiful  Roses and Butterflies, a gorgeous stamp that can be used for so many different occasions.
Here I've chosen a Thank you card with sweet paper from my stash and a sticker sentiment I colored black with a Sharpie.  I've colored the image with Copics in fresh Spring colors but it's amazing how different this stamp can look in a variety of shades for every season.  Bugaboo has a large selection of gorgeous florals you can find HERE.  Please visit Catch the Bug to see the lovely inspiration from the fab design team and come play along.

Anything Goes at Bugaboo

The first challenge at Catch the Bug each month is Anything Goes so here's my Bugaboo Guest DT inspiration featuring the adorable Alice in Wonderland.  I thought it would made a cute belated birthday card so I chose the option where I could add my own sentiment.  There are also versions with "We're all Mad here!" in the 4th box as well as pre colored versions, great when you're in a pinch. Such a deal to have all that included and it happens to be on SALE HERE.

I colored with Copics and added some funky die cut tea cup silhouettes from XCut Build a Scene dies (trimmed a bit).  The flair button is from one of the Wonderland sets at DL.Art.  I always chose the pin back version so it can be removed from my card and worn on a jacket or hat.  The little flower on the Hatter's hat was from my stash.  Come take a look at the fab DT inspiration and join us this week at Catch the Bug.

Guest Designer for Bugaboo Bingo at Catch the Bug

It's Saturday and that means another new challenge at Catch the Bug.  This week we're playing Bugaboo Bingo.

I've chosen the bottom row (charm, sparkle, enamel dots) and Skelekinz Heart Peeker.  I just love these cuties, don't you?  Remember, all new releases are 50% for the week so be sure to check them out the Freebies & Sales tab each week for super deals.  I've colored her with Copics and cut with a stitched oval die.  The glitter DP is from the old DCWV Madly in Love stack.  The sentiment is another punch out from the Authentique Valentine bundle, the enamel dots from Cloud 9 and the skellie key charm is from my stash.

Bugaboo Love is in the Air

I'm so excited to be Guest Designing for Bugaboo Stamps as Winner of the 2018 Holiday Chaos event.  WooHoo!  This is my first post for the Weekly Saturday Challenge at Catch the Bug, Love Is in the Air.  I've used the sweet image Greetings-You Are Beautiful.  It was easy and fun to color with my Copics and I kept the card CAS as well, using the Spellbinders Card Creator Cascading Hearts die.  The sentiment in the upper corner is a punch out from a Valentine bundle from Authentique.  Be sure to check out the fabulous inspiration from the Bugaboo team at Catch the Bug and come play along.  Hope to see you soon!

Guest Designing for Colouring in Scrapland

I'm thrilled to be joining the team at Colouring in Scrapland as Guest Designer for the mid-way inspiration post for the January Anything Goes Challenge.  The fabulous sponsor is All Dressed Up and I've made a cheery little scene with Girl on a Bike with older papers from my stash by Heidi Grace.  I love the bright colors and thought it would be perfect with the cute stamp, don't you?

I printed Girl on a Bike quite small to fit the scale of my paper which made the coloring a bit of a challenge with my Copics but I tried my best to do at least some shading on the adorable detailed image.  I decided she was too small to fussy cut so I used a Spellbinders Circle die on top of a Scalloped Circle and "grounded" her by cutting another piece of the "grass" with my circle die to add under the wheels.  I popped the circle with foam and also a cloud I die cut from another part of the Design paper and inked with Distress.  The sentiment was computer generated with my new tiny arrow paperclips and little heart jewels on each end.  I also added a heart to the sun above.  Inside will read "and enjoy the ride".

Thank you Colouring in Scrapland for inviting me to join you this month and to All Dressed Up for the beautiful image.  The Challenge is an easy Anything Goes and the winner of this challenge may choose 2 stamps from All Dressed Up. Hope to see you there.

Guest Designing for 2 Crafty Critter Crazies

Happy New Year!  It's the first minutes of 2018 (in California anyway) and I'm thrilled to be Guest Designing for 2 Crafty Critter Crazies, the monthly Anything Goes With a Critter Challenge Blog.  The fabulous sponsor for this month is Fabrika Fantasy and I have the pleasure of working with the adorable Snowman's Friends.

Here's a closeup of Snowman's Friends.  I've colored them with Copics with some white Posca paint pen detail on the branch and fussy cut them out to add to my winter scene, but if you're rushed for time, included in the digital assortment is a precolored image, as well.

The shadowbox card was cut with my new Sizzix die and folds flat for mailing.  I've added a sentiment sticker inside and a flurry of snowflakes from JoLee's.
Thanks you so much to 2 Crafty Critter Crazies for the invitation to Guest Design this month and to Fabrika Fantasy for sponsoring.  Hope to see you join in the challenge.

The Outlawz Tuesday Color Challenge

It's time for a new Color Challenge at the Outlawz and this week we'd like to see at least 3 of the colors shown with the Twist of Add Something from Nature. This is my second week as Guest Designer and I'm having all kinds of fun.

I guess I took the prompt a bit literally, but I colored all weekend and really wanted to play with some dies I'd never used.  The background die is a Cuttlebug Embossing Plus folder that I'd had so long I forgot how to use. Ooops, you needed to take the outer packaging off in order to feed it through your Cuttlebug.  The inner circle did not leave a border, so I used a Spellbinders circle die to make it a bit smaller.  I popped that on the turquoise card base and center and added 3 colors of butterflies from the Spellbinders Grand Butterflies dies.  The sentiment is a peel off sticker and I've added purple gems to complete all 5 colors.  Come join us at the Outlawz Color challenge this week.

I'm entering this in the Simon Says Wednesday Happy Birthday Challenge, and the DL.Art April ATG Linky Challenge.

Guest Designer Spot, a Mini Tut, and a CHALLENGE

I'm so excited to be Guest Designer On Yvonne's Blog, Do More With Less. I'm in love with Yvonne's bright and happy style, her unique work with misting, and fabulous layouts. You MUST visit her blog for a look see. Yvonne mentioned she enjoyed my dimensional cards and wanted to see how they were created so I photographed the steps for my most recent BBTB2 design. I'd love to have you visit, comment, and participate in my challenge with a new dimensional creation of your own. (No, it doesn't have to be as fat as mine. LOL) This is the first challenge I've ever done and of course there's a prize (a good one from Custom Crops!), so please take a look HERE. (BTW, Custom Crops is having a FABULOUS Cricut sale. Don't miss it!) xxD

The Cuttlebug Spot Challenge #17

This week's challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot is to use the word "love " on your card. I tried to use my CB as much as possible with the only outside forces being the corner punch by EKSuccess that is holding my cuttled background piece. That tiny heart embossing folder and the "love" cuts are from the CB Love Language set. I also used a border folder on each side of the gold band and hand cut around the scallops. The cool lock and key is a set from Spellbinders. I've been buying up a storm from them once I saw how well they work in the CB. They were each cut twice (as was the "love") and glued together slightly offset to form a shadow and also to reinforce the cut. "Love" is floating on a piece of shimmery tulle and adhesive beads and pearls were added here and there. Be sure to stop by The Cuttlebug Spot to see what the Design Team came up with and come and play along. Nilda has a fun prize this week.

The Cuttlebug Spot Challenge 15 and Day 25

Being a Guest Designer on The Cuttlebug Spot I got a jump on this week's challenge but couldn't post until it was announced so my card 25 for Jen's card a day challenge is late again. This week we were to do a card for our husband or "sweetheart". I kept racking my brain for sweet and romantic but it just didn't come. I'd recently purchased a DCWV Rockstar matstack and especially loved these shiny pink lips. I remembered the big ol' juicy smackers from the Indy Art Cricut cartridge and decided to combine it all with my new Cuttlebug "Love Language" die/emboss combo. I just happened to have pink foil paper from Best Occassions that embosses like a dream. I also used it for the blackout feature for the lips. I didn't have pink glitter cardstock that matched so I cut the top layer of the lips in pink cardstock and glittered it myself by running it through my Zyron top side down and sprinkling on Doodlebug Sugar coating. Tell me those aren't kissable! LOL The large open heart is from Calligraphy, and the small hugs and kisses and double hearts are from the die part of the Cuttlebug "Love Language" set. I think both Jen and I are struggling this last week with the card a day challenge. Be sure to bop over to cheer her on HERE. We both think we deserve a spa day when January is over. LOL And be sure to stop by The Cuttlebug Spot to see what the fabulous Design Team members have come up with. Thank you Nilda for allowing me to participate. I'm loving it!

The Cuttlebug Spot Challenge #14 and Day 19

WooHoo! This week I had the honor of being a Guest Designer for The Cuttlebug Spot. Thank you so much Nilda for giving me this opportunity. Each week The Cuttlebug Spot challenges Cuttlebug lovers to use their bugs in new and exciting ways. This week is a color challenge. We were to design a Valentine WITHOUT using the colors red or pink. My inspiration came from the yummy Offray ribbon I got at my LSS (local scrapbooking store, in this case Richard's Arts and Crafts right here in Livermore) which reminded me of the cute adhesive conversation hearts I got at Michael's. I used my new Martha Stewart border punch on the turquoise mat. The peach background is from the DCWV glitter matstack cuttled with the Swiss dots folder. I punched scalloped squares out of white glitter cardstock, cuttled them with fancy frames and added 3 of those darling hearts. Click HERE to visit The Cuttlebug Spot to see what the fabulous designers have done with this challenge. I'm proud to say I'm still hanging in there with Jen's Card a Day Challenge.
