Wild Roses from Sheepski Designs
This gorgeous Wild Roses image from SheepSki Designs was available for a very short time on the Through the Craft Room Door FB page and I was lucky enough to nab it to join in their March challenge, which thankfully has been extended, and the image is still on sale if you'd like to join in (but hurry!). I've seen so many gorgeous color combos using this image that I'm sure I will be coloring it over and over, but this time I've gone with a Springy peach and yellow combo using my Copics and Prismacolor pencils. I've cut with a Spellbinders Labels One die and matted with the lacy Lucious Labels One cut out of patterned DP from Graphic 45. The mint gingham is digital paper from AMBillustrations and I've added some flocked tulle tied with Primrose crinkle ribbon from the DL.Art Spring Bundle One. The sentiment is a delicate gold sticker.
I'll also be adding this to the SheepSki Designs FB Challenge 10 and the very first SheepSki Designs April Blog Challenge AG, TTRCD Week of April 4th AG, the Outlawz Monday Greetings Spring Colors challenge, the DL.Art April Linky Challenge, Simon Says Wednesday Happy Birthday, Die Cut Divas April Birthdays , RRR #161 Flowers (w/ribbon or trim) and Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #55 AG .

New Lacy Sunshine Challenge-Include a Window
The new challenge at Lacy Sunshine starts today and the theme is Include a Window.
I've used the adorable Georgia's A Lil Magic Secret Window and borrowed a witch's hat from Eleanor Trick or Treat Flight. Never too early for Halloween, eh? It was the "Magic" that made me do it. LOL The DP's are all from last year's Graphic 45 Steampunk Halloween. I just love the rich, saturated colors, don't you?
And here's the beautiful Georgia, colored with Copics in the same vibrant hues. Click HERE to see how she comes without the hat. That addition was made by fussy cutting Eleanor's hat HERE, and making some small slits in Georgia's hair to fit the hat in. I've added Glossy Accents to Georgia's eyes, lips and the tinted window panes and glued on mica flakes enhanced with Waterfall Stickles for the "magic" floating from her bowl.
Here's the dimensional shot. I've fussy cut the background away inside the window and popped it all up from the black matting. The sentiment is done with punch out typewriter keys (also Graphic 45) covered with adhesive acrylic domes and the rest is computer generated. Be sure to check out the fabulous inspiration from the rest of the Sunshine Girls HERE. We are all showcasing the Secret Window Collection. Hope that you can join us.
I'm entering this in the Simon Says Wednesday ATG Challenge, TTRCD ATG, Cute Card Thursday ATG, Aud Sentiments Anything Other Than Birthday, Little Red Wagon Girl Power, Inky Impressions ATG, Tuesday Throwdown ATG, Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge ATG, and Fan-tastic Tuesday ATG.

Aurora Wings Marie Nyantoinette
There's a new release at Aurora Wings, Marie Nyantoinette. You can find her HERE on Etsy, and HERE in the AW Web Shop. (Be sure to stop by the Aurora Wings Showcase Blog for the fabulous explanation of the name and historical background of the image itself) My Jezebel is over the moon about her. "Look Mommy! Mitzi drew MEEEE!!!!! and I'm sooo boofy!", she exclaimed. "You must color me immediately and of course make me PINK." (Jezzie's a really girly girl, and BTW, in case you don't read my blog regularly, "boofy" means beautiful).
So color I did, with my fave Copics, in all kinds of pink, from the lightest blush to the darkest I had. I tried all kinds of backgrounds before I finally decided that a dark wine really made the image pop and set about making this wall hanging with my Spellbinders Grand Labels Four. I considered all kinds of bits and bobs but the frothy dies from the Spellbinders Elegant Labels Four cut in pristine white, a sheer organdy bow and a one word die cut sentiment (from SU) were all I really needed.
I did, however, print the image 3 times so I could fussy cut and add dimension. Jezebel thinks I should save this for a Valentine for her Daddy from the both of us. However, it's pure fantasy because Jezzie NEVER let's me pick her up without all kinds of fuss. LOL Wish she'd be a friendly to me as she is with her Daddy.
And finally, at her insistance, is Jezebel's closeup. Boofy she is, even though she's a brat. Now, the fun of these showcases is seeing the image done in all different colorways by my DT sisters. Click HERE to see Marie Nyantoinette in all her glory. And don't forget our current Sprite Delight Challenge running through Saturday August 16th and the current Mermaid Madness Contest on Facebook.
I'm entering this in the 613 Avenue Create ATG w/Optional Friendship Day Challenge, the DLArt August Linky Challenge, Crafty Little Fairies Cute and Cuddly, In the Pink ATG as Long as it's Pink (Happy 2nd birthday!), the Crafter's Cafe Lots of Layers, Crafting by Designs Vintage/Shabby Chic, Crafting for All Seasons "Feature a Creature", the Outlawz Monday Greeting Card How Do You Pamper Yourself Challenge , TTRCD ATG Aug 5 and Simon Says Monday In the Family.

Dandelion Freebie from Aurora Wings
Don't miss all the fun at the Aurora Wings Facebook 1000 Member Celebration. This new Dandelion Sprite is yours FREE as a thank you from the fabulous Mitzi Sato-Wiuff, artist of the amazing fantasy images. As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to combine it with this Cuttlebug embossing folder. I printed the image first and embossed wth the folder, then printed, colored and fussy cut again to pop over the image since some of the embossing overlapped the image.
Here's a closeup. Could she be any cuter? She's colored with Copic and I've added Stickles to the puffs and seeds and sprinkled them with white flock so they are sparkly AND fuzzy.
Sentiment is computer generated and popped as well. Hope you can join in the fun during this fabulous FB event going on NOW HERE. New releases (be sure to come back here today too for a gorgeous one) as well as contests and prizes. Hurry, the first one has already started, but the event goes throughout the day and ther will be a 24 hour one so the whole world can join in. See you there.

Lacy Sunshine Add Flowers
I'm cutting it so close to the end of the Lacy Sunshine Add Flowers Challenge that I'm gonna have to come back and fill in the gaps. Phew! Just made it with 3 minutes to spare. I was thrilled to find out that as a member of the Creative Artist Team for Lacy Sunshine, posting once a month on the Lacy Sunshine Blog(where you find out what's New and Now in the Lacy Sunshine world), I'm still eligible to enter the challenges on the Challenge Blog and contests on the FB Group because I love playing there. This card is doing double duty. The current FB Contest is to use any of the Bubbles stamps so I'm entering this there, as well. My plan was to make this look like a fluffy white towel on a towel bar using some cool textured paper from Sizzix. I hand cut the towel shape and used my Spellbinders to cut the hole for Bubbles to peek through. the sentiment was hand stamped with individual letters from an ancient set which took me FOREVER to get straight. Why I didn't use my computer to generate it, I'll never know. Guess I thought "practice makes perfect" but sheesh!
The adorable image is Bubbles Bath available in the Sticky Wings Section of the Shop. She's colored with Copics and I've added some fun holographic bubbles and Stickles to the suds. The additional daffodils are rubber stamps from Heartfelt Creations, cut with the corresponding dies by Spellbinders.
The center step design worked well for my plan and here you can see a bit of the dimension as several portions of Bubbles' daffodil bathtub and towel were fussy cut and popped on the image. I tried to curl the "towel" to look like it was hanging on the (coffee stir stick) towel bar as well. The whole thing actually turned out better than I expected. Woohoo!
I'm also adding this to the Digi Galore Flowers Challenge, the Outlawz Friday Alcohol Markers Keep Calm and... Challenge, Pattie's Creations Fancy Folds, Aud Sentiments Sentiment for a Friend, Oddball Art Stamps use a Digi, Fitztown Challenge Fancy Folds, TTRCD ATG April 8-14 and Stamp and Create Spring Flowers.

I'm so Excited to be Part of the Lacy Sunshine Creative Team
Happy Saturday. I'm excited to announce I've been invited to join the Lacy Sunshine Creative Team posting once a month on the Lacy Sunshine Blog. WooHoo! I just love working with Heather's adorable stamps and today I'm showcasing that busy gal Mayde, the resident Lacy Sunshine housekeeper. Hope some of her habits run off on me. LOL
I've made a little inspirational chore chart with note pad. It's bound together on top with my Bind-It-All and attached to an easel card. Each day you can flip the pages for a new chore and picture that features Mayde hard at work and all 6 are available in the NEW section of the Lacy Sunshine Shop.
Monday features Mayde Laundry Day.
Tuesday, Mayde Pressing Matters.
Wednesday, Mayde Spring Cleaning Dust Bunnies
(in our house we call them dust kitties)
Thursday, Mayde's Electric Broom
Friday, Mayde Scrub, Scrub, Scrub
and finally Mayde's Puppy Bathtime.
On Sunday, Mayde deserves a rest, don'tcha think? Gotta say I had more fun coloring up these gals wih my Copics than I'll ever have doing chores. Even Stickled the suds and put Glossy Accents on the bubbles. But I do think that just looking at this cutie will improve my attitude about the whole housework thing.
Finally, I added a little Sticky Note pad and attached a pen to the binding with some ribbon I curled. Hope you enjoyed my project as much as I did making it and will visit the Lacy Sunshine Blog regularly to see what's new.
I'm also entering this in the Outawz Friday Alcohol Markers Spring has Sprung Challenge, Crafts 4 Eternity Anything but a Card, Crafting by Designs ATG, and TTRCD April 1-8 ATG.

Happy Valentine's Day from Dilly Beans (and Me!)
Happy Valentine's Day to all my friends out there in Blogland. Hope your day is filled with all the love you could ever imagine (and a few chocolates wouldn't be that awful, either. LOL) The Dilly Beaners have made some special Valentines for you all, too. Our Challenge this fortnight is Hearts (just in case you haven't gotten your fill). No shortage of Dilly Beans images with hearts so I'm sure we'll see lots of great stuff. I've tried something new (for me anyway) and done a canvas transfer using Shell's tut in the Mixed Media University Group on the Smeared and Smudged Forum. The image is the adorable #587 Penny's Heart String. After carefully rubbing off the paper, I colored her with Copics and added more of my conversation heart stickers. Love the texture the canvas provides. The background is dabbed with bubble wrap dipped in Distress Ink. I've fashioned the the heart with lace tape and added trim, crocheted flowers, pearls and a little crocheted butterfly, as well. I've wrapped some velvet ric rac around the edge to finish it off. Very sweet and girly, don'tcha think?
I'm entering this in the 613 Avenue Create ATG Challenge (couldn't quite manage the optional Create your Own with this one but still wanted to share.), the Outlawz Twisted Thursday ATG /w optional Add a Flower, TTRCD ATG Feb 11-17, Through the Purple Haze ATG and Papertake Weekly With a Heart.

Dilly Beans Challenge- Shaped Cards
There's a new challenge at Dilly Beans: Shaped Cards. No squares or rectangles, ya hear? Megan also has a fabulous assortment of adorable new digi gals at the Dilly Beans Shop and I've used one of my faves, #592 Aidynn's Winter Hat Framed. EEEK! Isn't her hat the cutest? I'm sort of embarrased not too have used my Cricut here, but I've had sort of a block lately, after years and years of doing elaborate shaped cards. Instead I pulled out my Nesties Grands and my cool Stampin' Up Festive Flurry stamp and die cut set and went to town. That beautiful jewel is Stampin' Up, too. The wire ribbon is from my stash and I'll tell you a little tip if you want to use ribbon for a sentiment as I did here. Tape your ribbon to a strip of card stock before cutting the ends to length and it will be easier to cut, you'll avoid fraying, and it will be easier to adhere with tape or foam to whatever project you choose.
We've had an unseasonably warm and dry Winter here in CA, but I know many of you have been bombarded by snow and frigid temps. That was my inspiration this week and I even finished the inside of my card, just for you. HUGS!
Oh, and one last thing. Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog to see some of the newest Dilly Beans in action...sooo stinkin' CUTE!!!!! And if you act fast (like I mean TODAY!) you can get them 2 for one. Hurry! Don't miss it!
I'm also entering this in the Crafting by Designs Think Warms Thoughts Challenge, Creative Moments Anything Goes, Add Some Sparkle, Digi Stamps 4 Joy Add REAL Ribbon, TTRCD ATG Jan 27th-Feb 4th, Die Cuttin' Divas Winter Fun and The Sisterhood of Crafters Winter's Snowflakes, Stampin' with the Dragon Winter Blues and the Creatalicious Turquoise Winter Challenge.

Lacy Sunshine Valentina
Here's my card for the contest going on on the Lacy Sunshine Facebook Fan page. Fans could email Heather for the adorable Valentina (scroll down for yours) and create a card with her. I think she's the sweetest and she was so much fun to color with my Copics, that I had to play along. I remembered a candy conversation heart digi from ADFD and enlarged it for a background. Changed the colors of the lettering and colored them with Copics as well. The background mat is embossed with tiny conversation hearts too.
Just look at her sweet face. She's fussy cut and popped and the little heart she's holding is a puffy sticker from M's I got a couple of years back.
The background hearts were fussy cut as well and I've added hugs and kisses with colored and heart shaped Alpha Beads. Trying hard to get back into the swing of crafting.
I'm also entering this in the Lacy Sunshine ATG Challenge, 613 Avenue Create ATG/ Party/Celebrate Challenge, Simon Says Monday ATG, Suzy B's Bloomin' Cute and Sweet Challenge, DLART Thankful Thursday Hearts Challenge, Make it Monday #174 and TTRCD Jan14-20th ATG.

Dilly Beans Traditional Christmas Colors
Of course this isn't for Creepmas! Please scroll down.
It's a new challenge day at Dilly Beans and this week we're pulling out the old red and green. Yup! Traditional Chistmas colors are what we want to see. I've used 2 different digi's here, the bottom row is #525 Three Penguins, and the other 3 are from #524 Three Penguin Blocks. I've cropped the top three in my Printmaster program to arrange them accordingly, colored them all with Copics and cut them into sort of a penguin pyramid. They're popped atop a bingo card I cut with my Cricut (designed in DS, .cut file available HERE) and added some fun buttons and epoxy holly and berries. Not sure if I'm gonna make this into a card or giant tag. Please visit my teamies for fab inspiration HERE and come play along.
I'm entering this in the Cut It Up Christmas Challenge, TTRCD ATG Dec 10-16, Delightful Challenges Red and Green, Papertake Weekly Christmas Creatures, the Shabby Tea Room Noel photo inspiration Challenge including buttons and polka dots, and 613 Avenue Create ATG.
Day 7 of the 12 Days of Creepmas
Can you believe it's Friday the 13th and Day 7 out of 12 for the Smeared and Smudged Creepmas Blog Hop? That's sort of scaring me since I'm so unprepared for the upcoming holiday. It's Smeared Ink Day and I've a fun card featuring the Quoth the Raven rubber set (available as a past offering from the Smeared Ink Rubber Club). I've used the Santa Hat from the Watchful Eye digi, yet again, this time flocking it and using a Snow Writer for the cuff and pom pom for Poe and the Raven. The cool card die is by Sizzix and it all folds flat for sending (not that I ever actually send anything, LOL)
The background DP is digi paper from the Slasher pack, also from Smeared Ink. I've spelled out Poe in Alpha Beads and added a computer generated sentiment banner for the Raven. Notice the little glitter raven dimensional stickers in the bottom corners too. Aren't they the cutest ever? Be sure to leave a comment since there's a drawing for prizes for a Jolly Blogger and a Merry Hopper from Smeared Ink today. Full lineup is on the sidebar so you can start at the beginning and not miss a thing. Next up is Violent Kitty. WooHoo!
Obviously, I'm also entering this in the Ho Ho Poe Challenge at Quoth the Raven, TTRCD ATG Dec 10-16, Left of Center Winter or Holidays, Drunken Stampers:Person (Santa) Challenge.

Simply Steampunk December Challenge- Anything Steampunk
It's the first Friday in December and that means a new challenge at Simply Steampunk. This month it's an easy one, Anything Steampunk. The team is using the Steampunk Romance Collection and I'm showcasing the beautiful Grace. It looks ike she's holding an ornament so I went with a Christmas theme. The DP and chipboard frame and sentiment are all from the VERY old K&Co Christmas Cheer line. I loved the vintage feel to this line so much that I bought several stacks TONS of coordinating stuff. The line of gears was cut with my Cricut from the Gears set on Cricut Craftroom. I'd cut them in matte silver but grunged them up with some gold Rub 'n Buff, black Distress Ink and Frantage embossing powder. So cool! the other single gear is a Sizzix die. Of course I added a ton of metal mini gears from Tim Holtz. I should buy stock in these for sure. The metal screws are from 7 Gypsys? (I think)
Grace is colored with Copics, fussy cut and popped. I had a hard time finding paper for inside the frame. Nothing looked right but leaving it open didn't either.
I get a boatload of catalogs this time of year and on my desk was the cover of one I'd ripped off because I thought I might use the paper. The color seemed right so I carefully ( Ha!) cut out a piece to fit. Too dull, so I embossed it and used gold Rub 'n Buff (my new fave thing) et viola!
Here's the dimensional shot. Quite a lot of popping going on and it's pretty heavy, too. Guess this one's gonna be hand delivered. Please visit Simply Steampunk and check out the fabulous work by my teamies and come play alog. this challenge will run through Jan 2nd.
I'm also entering this in the Little Miss Muffet You've Been Framed Challenge, Add a Little Dazzle Embossing Challenge, Rhedd and Rosie's Use Old Stash Challenge (DP, frame and sentiment sticker), the Outlawz Twisted Thursday Bingo Challenge (using glitter or sparkles, stamped/digi image, and patterned paper), Clear it Out Anything Goes with a Stash Item (DP, frame and sticker sentiment), Craft Room Vintage Christmas Challenge, TTRCD ATG Dec 3-9and The Corrosive Challenge Happy Holidays.

Anything Goes with a Dilly Beans Image
WooHoo! Looky looky! I've already decorated for Christmas (on my Blog, anyway). Hope everyone had a fab Thanksgiving and enjoys the holiday weekend, whatever you do. It's Friday and that means it's another Challenge at Dilly Beans and it's a real easy one. ANYTHING GOES WITH A DILLY BEANS IMAGE. I've done a little Christmas card using the adorable #304 Christmas Owl (scroll down to find him). The embossed frame was laying on my table and worked well with the little village DP so there ya go. The sentiment is computer generated and I've added some buttons 'cause I thought they looked cute.
I've colored the little guy with Copics, fussy cut and popped him. Then added one of the glasses paper clips that De insisted I get when she was out in CA a couple of weeks ago. What a HOOT! (Sorry, couldn't resist) Thanks, De! Check out the fab stuff the rest of the DT has done and come play along for a chance to win some Dilly Beans images of your own.
But if you just can't wait, you can enjoy Black Friday savings from the comfort of your computer. Now THAT's my way to shop, today anyway.
I'm also entering this in the Charisma Cardz Christmas Challenge, Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes, the Outlawz Friday Alcohol Markers Challenge ATG w/optional Christmas Twist, LEJ Designs Buttons, Bows or Beads, and TTRCD Nov 26th-Dec 2nd.

Lacy Sunshine It's a Bling Thing
Still battling my stupid cold which has left me pretty ADD (sounds good to blame it on that, eh?) but I've finally managed to finish a rather giant tag for the Lacy Sunshine It's a Bling Thing Challenge. I had the hardest time deciding which image to use, especially since there's a holiday sale of Seasonal Digis going on at the shop and I desperately needed some retail therapy. I finally chose Coco's Holiday Ornament and made a mega tag because I had all kinds of bling I wanted to use. The fab swirl is from Prima and the gorgeous snowflakes from JoLee's. When you ask for "BLING", I don't mess around. The shiny DP is from last year's DCWV Winter magic stack mounted on textured silver card stock from American Crafts.
I've colored Coco with Copics, the ornament with a metallic silver Sharpie and added Stickles to the top, as well as her wings and set diamonds in her wings as well. I've flocked her boots and cuff and cut a tinsel pom pom in half for her earmuffs. There are pearls in her hair and diamonds in her eyes. I think I got the bling covered, don't you? Of course there are only a couple hours left for the challenge so I better get my rear in gear.
I'm also entering this in the Crafts 4 Eternity Glitter and Sparkle Challenge, Crafty Catz Tags and Bags, Creative Knockouts Snowflakes, TTRCD ATG Nov 19th-25th, Fab 'n' Funky ATG, 613 Avenue Create ATG, Corrosive Fur and Feathers Challenge, C.R.A.F.T. Challenge Nov. 21st (Inspiration Pic), and Tag Along Ring a Ding Ding, Lots of Bling Challenge.

Down the Rabbit Hole for Simply Steampunk
Here's the last of my showcase pieces this month for Simply Steampunk using the fabulous Down the Rabbit Hole digi from the Alice in Wonderland Steampunk Style release, available only at SBS. I knew from the get go that I wanted to do this one in a dimensional style to give the impression that Alice is truly looking down the rabbit hole so I printed the image once on white cardstock to color and then resized it and printed it on kraft to fussy cut and pop the roots.
Here's a better look at the fab digi. I've colored with Copics and cut around the hole and glued to DP by Tim Holtz.
The fussy cut roots were popped using 2 layers of foam to give more dimension. This made the edges fairly unattractive so I used Washi tape around the entire thing to neaten it up. The Alice sentiments were in my stash and of course I've added a pocket watch and gears 'cause I just can't get enough of them. LOL
It really was too thick for a card that opened, so I decided to add an easel back, cut from a Tim Holz die, to make it a standing frame. It folds flat for storage, but for now I'm enjoying having it sit on my desk. (Fortunately it doesn't take up too much room. LOL) Be sure to visit Simply Steampunk for loads of inspiration using the Alice in Wonderland Steampunk collection all month long. And don't forget our current Party Invitation challenge that runs through December 5th. It can be any type of party, as long as it's in the Steampunk style so I hope you can join us.
I'm also entering thhis in the Left of Center Washi Tape or Twine Challenge (I've used Washi around the edges), Fab 'n' Funky Anything Goes, Simon Says Monday It's a Mystery (What's down that Rabbit Hole?), The Outlawz Monday Greeting Card No rubber Stamps (only digi's) Challenge, 613 Avenue Creates ATG, and TTRCD Nov 19th-25th ATG.

ADFD It's All About Fall
WooHoo, I'm excited to be playing in the A Day For Daisies All About Fall challenge. The images are so sweet and innocent and because the DT was showcasing favorite images from year's past I decided to use the first ADFD image I ever saw which led me to Tammy's magnificent digis. It's called Fall Fun and is unfortunately retired but I still love it to death, don't you? The image is colored with Copics and cut and matted with my Spellbinders Labels Seventeen. I've added a Memory Box die cut grapevine wreath to the corner and teeny punched leaves. The gorgeous DP is from K&Co mat stack and the strip of burlap ribbon gives it a rustic feel. It's finished off wth some Card Candy.
I'm also entering this in the Outlawz Twisted Thursday Fall Colors Challenge, Glitter and Sparkle Autumn Colors, My Sheri Crafts Fall/Thanksgiving, Stampin' for the Weekend Autumn/Fall Colors, Wags 'n Whiskers Fall Colors, 613 Avenue Create ATG, and TTRCD Nov 5-11 ATG.

Alice Portrait for Simply Steampunk
I'm so excited today to showcase another of the fabulous Alice in Wonderland Steampunk Style digis by Abigail Larson available exclusively at SBS. Here I have the adorable Alice Portrait. Isn't she the sweetest? I can image using her for all sorts of occasions but today I'd say my card could be for ANY occasion. I decked her out heavily in the Steampunk style using digi paper from the Steampunk Fantasy set from Bearly Mine Designs. And speaking of HEAVY, all the metal embellies are from Tim Holtz. There's 15 total, if you count the brads. Guess this one should be hand delivered eh, but don't they look FAB with the DP?
Here's a closeup of the gorgeous Alice. Of course she's colored with Copics to match the digi paper. Remember we have inspiration going all month long at Simply Steampunk so be sure to visit often, and don't forget our current Party Invitation Challenge that runs through December 5th. You can use any image as long as it's in the Steampunk Style. Hope to see you there.
I'm also entering this in the Bearly Mine Anything Goes Challenge, Divas by Design use a Digi, TTRCD Nov 5-11 ATG, Papertake Weekly ATG and 613 Avenue Create ATG.
