Showcasing the New Lucy Loo 'Cat on the Head
Today I'm showcasing the newest digi from The East Wind called Lucy Loo 'Cat on the Head' over on The East Wind Show Room. Gotta say she cracks me up, so I thought she'd be a great reminder of the "Just for a Laugh" FB contest going on now through August 17th. Since it was all about the hair, I used bobby pin DP from the DCWV All About Girls mat stack and framed her with my Spellbinders Labels Twenty Eight. My BFF Lisa helped me come up the the sentiment and I couldn't resist adding a mousey border done with my MS punch.
Lucy Loo was so much fun to color with my Copics and I just can't stop giggling about that cat on her head. You can always count on Lucy Loo to inspire a humorous sentiment with that attitude of hers (or in this case, should I say "catitude"? LOL) Come on, join our FB contest and make us laugh!
I'm entering this in the Going Grey with Scrap-Creations Animals Challenge, 2 Cute Ink Animals, Through the Purple Haze ATG/Femme Fatale Twist, Fan-Tastic Tuesday ATG and SOSS "Z" is for Zoo (or any other animal or animal print, man, those chicks are easy). Hope to make one with an actual Zoo animal but might not make it due to a crazy couple of weeks, but I thought you might get a kick out of this.xxx

Guest Designer for the LOC First Anniversary Party
Left of Center is one of my favorite Challenge Blogs, so naturally I was thrilled when asked to participate as a Guest Designer during their First Anniversary party. Each day from March 7th through 31st there is fab inspiration and a special Anniversary Challenge (apart from their fortnightly challenges) as well. I was even more excited when Mitzi Sato-Wiuff, the uber talented artist from Aurora Wings, one of the fab sponsors, allowed me to introduce a brand new digi in honor of the event.
Here is a closeup of the gorgeous new image entitled Madness and seeing I live in the Livermore Valley wine country (and love my wine ;D) you can just imagine how much I LOVE her! Fabulously dark, don'tcha think? Madness, indeed! She was printed several times, colored with Copics, fussy cut and popped on a giant tag. The vine is an ancient Spellbinders die that I'd never used but was perfect for this project. The fab DP is K&Co.
The quote is from a poem by Bob Jonson from the 1600's. I just couldn't resist. LOL It was printed on yet another of the Fancy Labels from the Cuttlebug Emboss Plus folder of the same name and inked with Distress. Of course I had to add a bit of Drippy Goo.
Here's the dimensional shot, always my favorite part. The grapes, blood drips and eyeballs were all coated with Glossy Accents but unfortunately that doesn't seem to show up in any of the pix. I hope you're enjoying the LOC Anniversary Celebration as much as I am and are taking part in their very special ATG challenge, as well.
I'm also entering this in the TTPH Bingo Challenge (using the diagonal Purple, Sentiment/Greeting, and Punch)

The East Wind Challenge 2
WOW! Been working all day on the current Use a Digi challenge for The East Wind and am just making it in with a couple hours to spare. I had the hardest time choosing which of her fabulous digi's to start with and had both the adorable Freebie image I received with the newsletter, and Aurora Poppy colored, thinking I could do both, but of course that was not to be. Aurora Poppy won out because I was dying to use this DP by BoBunny and a never used Poppy Die by Spellbinders. I created a window straight through the card with Aurora peeking out. The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch and the sentiment is computer generated.
And don't faint, I actually finished the inside. Go ME! She's colored with Copics and I used the scraps from the DP mat on front to help finish it off. Another MS butterfly and an ancient photo corner die as well.
I'm also entering this in the Quirky Crafts Secret Garden Challenge, the Left of Center Die Cuts Challenge, Through the Purple Haze Anything Digital, Naughty or Nice Birthday Challenge (I can't believe I went with "Nice". Still thinkin' on "Naughty"), the ABC Challenge "G" is for Girls, and the Fussy and Fancy Birthday Challenge, Digi Stamps4Joy Add a Birthday Sentiment and the LOC 1st Anniversary ATG challenge.

Happy Valentine's Day from Dilly Beans (and Me!)
Happy Valentine's Day to all my friends out there in Blogland. Hope your day is filled with all the love you could ever imagine (and a few chocolates wouldn't be that awful, either. LOL) The Dilly Beaners have made some special Valentines for you all, too. Our Challenge this fortnight is Hearts (just in case you haven't gotten your fill). No shortage of Dilly Beans images with hearts so I'm sure we'll see lots of great stuff. I've tried something new (for me anyway) and done a canvas transfer using Shell's tut in the Mixed Media University Group on the Smeared and Smudged Forum. The image is the adorable #587 Penny's Heart String. After carefully rubbing off the paper, I colored her with Copics and added more of my conversation heart stickers. Love the texture the canvas provides. The background is dabbed with bubble wrap dipped in Distress Ink. I've fashioned the the heart with lace tape and added trim, crocheted flowers, pearls and a little crocheted butterfly, as well. I've wrapped some velvet ric rac around the edge to finish it off. Very sweet and girly, don'tcha think?
I'm entering this in the 613 Avenue Create ATG Challenge (couldn't quite manage the optional Create your Own with this one but still wanted to share.), the Outlawz Twisted Thursday ATG /w optional Add a Flower, TTRCD ATG Feb 11-17, Through the Purple Haze ATG and Papertake Weekly With a Heart.

12 Days of Creepmas- Day 9
It's the 9th Day of Creepmas, how time has flown. Today is Smeared Ink day and both Jolly Bloggers and Merry Hoppers have the opportunity to win a prize from our fabulous sponsors, Smeared Ink. Bloggers must use only Smeared Ink Stamps and hoppers must comment on each of the posts, so let's get to it. To begin at the beginning, please visit my sidebar. I've used the fabulous Succubus 5, (also available in the Succubus Set) drawn by my HDH teamie Ike, for Smeared Ink.
Poor girl is pining away for her love. She's colored with Copics, fussy cut, glittered with superfine glitter, and popped. The gorgeous digi paper in the background is from the new Smeared Ink Icy Paper Pack (also available in 12 x 12, as are all Smeared Ink Digi papers for you scrapbookers).
I've double embossed with both the Tim Holtz Tall Pine Trees Sizzix folder and the Cuttlebug special edition Snowfall folder and fussy cut around a portion of the trees to die cut the aperture using the largest of my Spellbinders Labels 13 dies. The gorgeous snowflakes are from my ancient stash (probably JoLee's?).
The sentiment is computer generated and cut with a Spellbinders Fancy Tags die garnished with some blue adhesive pearls. Now off you go to the fabulous Violent Kittie.
I'm entering this in the Simon Says Wednesday Let it Snow Challenge, the Sisterhood of Crafters Christmas Sparkle, Tip Top Tuesday Snowflakes, Through the Purple Haze Here Comes Christmas Day, Lunagirl Blue Christmas, Sparkle and Sprinkle Dec ATG with Glitter, and Crafty Calendar Cold and Frosty.

Countdown to Halloween!
EEEK! It's the first day of the BEST month of the year! I'm counting the days 'til Halloween, aren't you? I hope to have some fun projects this month, but we'll see how that goes. Today I have a Halloween card with a sentiment circle from Jellypark that I received FREE in the newsletter. Sign up HERE for lots of good stuff. I'm entering it in the current Jellypark Challenge which is The Sentiment is the Key.
I printed the circle 3 times. Twice small and once large enough to accommodate the rosette I planned to layer. I used a punch to punch the center of one of the smal circles and colored it orange with Copics. the other circles were cut with Nesties and the cool bat frame is part of my new Making Memories Spooky Frame set. The whole shebang was then layered on a Nesties Beaded Circle. The orange dots are just from a standard punch and I've added adhesve beads for more interest. DP is Authentique.
Here's the dimensional shot. There's a whole lot of popping going on. Have to say I kinda love it. Hope you do too.
I'm also entering this in the Craftin' Desert Divas' Anything with a Sentiment Linky Party, Created with Love Halloween, Simon Says Monday Challenge Say it With Stamps, Through the Purple Haze Halloween.
