Hawaiian Christmas, Anyone?
This adorable new stamp is called # 1097 Monkey Ornie, just one of the amazing "Ornie stamps" from Sandra Caldwell, and making it's debut TODAY. I loved him from the start, but couldn't come up with a sentiment for him, so I asked the hubby. Gotta say that normally he just looks at me when I ask him for a suggestion or opinion about crafting, but this time he came through with what I thought was HILARIOUS! It set the whole tone for the card and I giggled the entire time I was making it. I'm wondering how many of you are old enough to remember the song "Mele Kalikimaka". DP is ancient from the DCWV Summer Stack. Palm trees and coconuts from Jolee's. I've strung some Christmas lights (from my stash) on twine from DL.Art between them and added little ornaments (also Jolee's).
Here's a closeup of Monkey Ornie. He's colored with Copics, fussy cut and popped. Just had to do him in traditional Christmas colors. Isn't he adorable?
How about getting in the spirit with a little song? Here's BING!
Be sure to visit Sandra's Shop (babycakesdnd) each Monday and check out the new digis for the week, and if you'd like some inspiration, check out the Sandra Caldwell Stamps Fans FB page.
I'm entering this in the DL.Art October Linky Challenge, the Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenge Anything Christmas, the Outlawz Saturday Paper a la Mode Christmas Challenge, the Weekly Christmas Card Decorations Challenge #44, Creatalicious Challenge 100 ATG/Let's Celebrate, TTRCD ATG and Crafting When We Can Christmas Comes Early.
