Wow, wasn't sure this one was gonna happen. You'd think the Bah! Humbug! Snowflakes challenge would be an easy one but I wanted to do something different. I was having a bit of a mojo issue and then finally decided I would try that swing card again; you know, the one I screwed up on even though followed Connie's tut on the Sweet Pea Stamps blog. I was determined to get it right this time. I used SEI Wintersong papers and the snowflakes down the side were cut with my Cricut using the Doodlecharms snowflake border feature. The center snowflake is a Spellbinders Shapeabilities die cut in my Cuttlebug.
The only real embellishments are the silver adhesive beads. The inside sentiment is as peelie from Stampendous. The whole thing has sort of a modern feel, but I kind of like it.
Love it!! sooooooo pretty
ReplyDeleteI not only kind of like it, I love it.

Great card Donna. I love that fact that you are so motivated to make Holiday cards. For me, after the season is over (and sometimes even during the season) I'm so sick of holiday stuff I can't get motivated to make anymore cards for that season. I like the style, technique, papers, everything!
ReplyDeleteHello Donna
ReplyDeleteYour determination has paid off Donna as this is just gorgeous.

Pretty card, Donna! I like that you didn't go with the obvious blue and white color scheme!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! I need to get going on my 6 Christmas card a month... I am behind. I really like this design (and colors) and may have to scrap-lift, if that is okay with you!?!

ReplyDeleteGreat swing card, you sure did get it right this time, even though I thought you did great the last time too! Love the modern feel of this!

Well I think this is great and I love the modern feel to it, thats a good way of putting it! but still has the holiday charm!
ReplyDeleteAnd again, this card style is really cool!
Got a little crazy and rearranged some furniture so I haven't crafted in a couple days or do anything but clean or organize, can't wait to get back in!!!

oh Donna I love this - the way the front image hides the message inside is just so clever.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your ideas for the 'food' challenge.

I really love the paper you used for this card. I have yet to venture into the world of shaped cards or cards that are folded differently. Looks like it might be time!
