Macabre Monday Crimson Crime Scene Week 2

OOOPS!  I'm a little behind here.  Yesterday began WEEK 2 of our Crimson Crime Scene Challenge at HDH and I  gotta say, I'm a wee bit disappointed with all my pals who call themselves "dark" crafters 'cause only two of you have managed to participate so far.  What'samatter?  Scared of a little BLOOD?  tsk, tsk! So we're looking for inspiration from famous crime scenes, either past or present, and there damn well better be some RED on the project, ya hear? Easy peasy!  I found this glorious pic on the net of Jack the Ripper and surrounded him with actual photos of his victims (changed from b&w to RED).  The snippet of text is from an actual letter he wrote so I decided to back the little photos with my new Spellbinders Postage Stamp die.  See, now how tough is that? Check out the fab inspiration from the Minions of Week 1, as well, and if you'd loke even more, here's a couple of other projects I've done in the past in the same vein.  Lizzy Borden HERE and Ed Gein HERE.  Fair warning, though. They're a bit twisted, even for ME!  xxxx

I'm entering this in the Left of Center No DP and Open Minded Crafting Roll Out the Red.

Twinkle Twinkle, You're Our Star!

Almost forgot to share the card I made for one of my BFF's daughter's graduation.  The adorable Saturated Canary Grad Girl 2012 looks just like Hayley (and is a super bargain at just $2.00)

She's colored with Copics in the colors of the Dublin CA High Gaels.  the stars are Sticko stickers but I've done a little tut on how to make dimensional ones of your own HERE.  the scroll is from the Cuttlebug Fanciful Labels Emboss Plus folder. Numbers by a retired Cuttlebug alpha set, and star embossing also Cuttlebug.

The simple step card was done with my Spellbinders Labels Twenty eight.  We're so proud of our girl, heading of to the University of Colorado, Boulder this fall.

Aurora Wings No Lines or Color Bingo

Our new Challenge begins today at Aurora Wings and this time you have a choice of No Lines or Color Bingo.

Obviously I've opted for the Color Bingo, using White/Red/Bue.  Figured my learning curve was WAY too long to try the cool No Lines effect, although we have a wonderful tut on the Challenge Blog by teamie Alyce if you'd like to give it a try.

I've used the Sizzix Accordian Flip Album die for my card and each panel holds a different Sprite.  Each is colored with Copics and mounted on a DP mat cut with my Spellbinder's Labels One.  Here's Strawberry Sprite.

And Blueberry Sprite.  I thought the combo of gingham and bandana patternes looked just like a summer picnic.  The sentiment was done with Alpha Beads.

And finally the adorable Raspberry Sprite.  Aren't they the sweetest EVER?!  All 3 are also available in Mitzi's Digital Stamp Shop on her AW website HERE, as well.  The Lattice corners and side embellies were also Spellbinders.  So let's hear it for the Red, White and Blue!  Be sure to stop by Aurora Wings Challenge Blog to see the fabulous creations by my DT sisters.  You'll be so totally impressed.  And please come play along, with either the No Lines, Color Bingo or BOTH, if you dare.

Also, don't forget our Showcase Blog where we feature new releases as well as gorgeous creations by fans of Aurora Wings.  You can have your projects considered for a Showcase by Posting them HERE on the Stamps by Aurora Wings FB Group or read more about it HERE.  You'll receive a special Blog Badge and a digi stamp of your choice (up to $4.00 value) if you're chosen.  Our current Clean and Simple FB Contest is running through June 30th, as well.  Lots of prizes all over the place.

I'm entering this in the Open Minded Crafting Things with Wings Challenge, Dragonfly Dreams Anything with Wings, Crafts and Me Add Wings, Simon Says Monday ATG, Stamp and Create June Thank You Challenge and the Live & Love Crafts Summer Garden Challenge.

The East Wind Challenge 5 Humor

WooHoo, it's the 15th of the month and that means a new challenge at The East Wind Challenge Blog.  Come on and make us laugh.  Our new challenge is...

I've made a center step card and used the fabulous 'Lucy Loo' Chilling at Home. I sat her on my new Sizzix chair die and embossing folder combo which I've cut out of Core'dinations CS and sanded. The sentiments are computer generated and cut with my new Spellbinders Labels 28.

Lucy is colored with Copics and I've added a crown brad to her head to match all the other royal references because I had the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers "Q" is for Queen Challenge in mind when I made it.  (Perhaps not exactly "snarky" but I think those gals might find it amusing.)  If you want to start your day with a giggle, I suggest you go check out the fun and fabulous cards by my DT Sisters HERE and I hope you come join us.

I'm also addng this to My Sheri Crafts A Moment of Laughter Challenge and Open Minded Crafting Easter or Pastel Colors.
