Hot Blog Hop Update and Some Candi!

I spent the day Friday shopping at the Scrap Expo in Santa Clara.

Jacob was not entirely thrilled to see the amount of stuff he

had to put away.

Eiyiyi! Hide the receipts!

After a hard day...wine a bit, you'll feel better!

Now this is more like it! All Jacob has talked about was wine tasting since he got here,

so we spent the evening at the La Luna party at Murietta's Well. Fabulous wine and food pairing.

Taking a little break between courses.

And some tasting of Library Wines. Yeah, I'm pretty much 3 sheets, look at that goofy grin!

At least Jake's still standing. Cheers!

One last job before he and Clippy are on their way. Welcome to COUGAR TOWN!

Barbie may be a little older, but she's worth a FORTUNE! And so are her wheels!

"Hey Big Boy, wanna go for a ride?" "Frankie who?" Where the heck are Clippy and Chloe?

I'll never tell!

So if you've hung in here to the end, you deserve so Candi! Card Candi, that is. Leave me a comment and take a peek at the fabulous assortment HERE from Scrappy Go Lucky, USA. The winner will receive 3 colors of their choice plus the Candi Fix and will be chosen by random org next Wednesday. Be sure and stop back, because there will also be a little SURPRISE. It will be so hard to say good bye to Jacob and Clippy but they're off to Arizona to visit the super talented Jennifer at The Country Life. EEEKKK!!! What happened to my sidebar stuff? It's all on the bottom. Help! Has blogger gone crazy again?

Criss Cross Cards x 2 for Everyday Cricut and a Giveaway! (.Cut File Available)

Did you know there are criss cross cards for the cutting on Tie the Knot? Well I sure didn't until I started browsing through my manuals looking for fun stuff for Everyday Cricut. These are my Tuesday cards and I hope you like. As you can see, I did another cream and back card because I just think they're sooo elegant and that gorgeous monogram so inspired me. On a lighter note, I did the same card in picnic colors using "Celebrate" from the From the Nest cartridge. To find out more about them, click HERE to visit Everyday Cricut. And, just because I love you guys, I'm offering an 8 x 8" pad of this elegant ivory and black K & Co paper so you can make one too. Just leave me a comment. The winner will be announced Friday.
Click HERE for the free .cut file and detailed instructions at Custom Crops.

WooHoo! A Giveaway from The Cutting Cafe

Ahhh, the weekend is here and the weather is absolutely GORGEOUS! It was 82 yesterday and although it was difficult to stay inside at the Expo, I somehow managed (LOL) and came home with loads of bags I have yet to unpack. I also had time to make a quick card using the Got Coffee? and Coffee Beans Background downloadable printable stamp sets from The Cutting Cafe. If you love coffee, these are the sets for you, and you can win them BOTH, right here, just by leaving a comment. The Got Coffee? set has 24 different coffee related images and sentiments and the Background set comes 3 ways. The beans print in solid black, solid brown, and clear (outline only), so imagine the possibilities! On Monday, Regina will be announcing the list of all of the DT members who are participating in the giveaway so be sure to stop by The Cutting Cafe for more chances to win! She'll also be announcing new additions to The Cutting Cafe Design Team and you can browse all of the fabulous new sets Regina has in store. See ya there! CHA and a Giveaway!

WooHoo! I made it! Wasn't sure I was going to since the "Grapevine" was closed due to the terrible weather we are having so I had to book a flight instead. I'm here at CHA with the gals from Custom Crops and we're at the Super Show now. They are helping Robyn (My Pink Stamper) with her booth these couple of days at the consumer Super Show until the REAL fun begins on Sunday. Here's a pic of Robyn doing a drawing for one of her Cricut Fun Volume 1 DVD's. (I'm sure you also recognize Natalie and Miranda from the Custom Crops videos as well. She also has just launched a new line of tiny clear stamp sentiments and a Volume 2 DVD is available for pre-order on Custom Crops. It just so happens that I also have one (Cricut Fun Volume 1) to give away as well to one lucky viewer and thought I'd save it until today in honor of CHA. Just leave me a comment and I will announce the winner on Thursday (when I'm back home). I certainly hope to bring you sneak peeks of new products and will have my BBTB2 and The Cuttlebug Spot cards as usual on Monday and Tuesday so stop back by.

Blogaversary and 400 Follower Blog Candy!

Well the Blogaversary came and went (Oct 19th) and then my following approached 400 so I waited. Well, I wish I hadn't because the majority of my blog candy is for Christmas and here it is Dec 6th. I apologize for that, but at least you'll have a head start on next year. LOL Or if you're anything like me you'll still be in the Christmas spirit well into January (or February) and still think it's pretty cool. :D Anyway, this is some of my favorite stuff so I hope you like.
A 12x12 pad of K&Co Christmas Cheer DP
6 packs of coordinating embellies
A Chipboard Angel Book
4 Spools of ribbon including that cool candy cane wired cord that I love so much
An 8x8 pad of the black and creme K&Co DP that I've done tons of cards with
A pink and brown camo "Tote-ally Cool" tote bag with tons of pockets and zippers and a carousel base for your table or crops or whatever
Because of the late date this is gonna be a quicky so spread the word, post on your sidebar, whatever. The candy is open to all world-wide and your only requirement is to leave a comment on this post by Thursday (Dec 11) night by 11:59 pm. PST. (Of course if you're not a follower I'd love that too but it's not a requirement. They will have a bit of an advantage here :D ) The winner will be announced Friday morning and I hope to have it packed up to go that day so please come back to see if you've won.
Thank you everyone who has supported and encouraged me. I so appreciate your comments and value your friendship and inspiration tremendously! Big Hugs! D

City Pix and Blog Candy at Stuck on U Sketches

Sorry guys, I worked hard yesterday hoping to have something to post today but as the day wore on I realized what I was doing will work for a future DT challenge sooo.... anyway. I'll be sharing a few pix I took on Friday in the city. Was gonna put my sweetie on here first but I'm afraid he'd die if he found himself on the sidebar of a bunch of crafting blogs. LOL Tell me that lunch doesn't look yummy! I'm trying to take more pix so someday I may be able to actually do a layout. Well, we'll see, but in the meantime I've been checking out the new challenge blog Stuck on U Sketches. Wow what a bunch of talented ladies and their sketch challenges are fabulous! (Not to mention that my dear friend Leah is on the DT). Besides that, they are offering some BLOG candy as a thank you to their followers (They're already nearing 100!) so be sure to check it out HERE.
Here's my sweetie, smiling because he actually dragged me out of the craft room.
We ate at the ferry building and took a walk down the waterfront. This is STILL quintessential SF! and the back bumper was fake fur. LOL
Eat your heart out Margie! No snow here. LOL
What an exhausting day!

A Cottage Cutz Card and a Chance to Win $250

Okay, I apologize for the bad pun but I just couldn't resist! These adorable geckos are a Cottage Cutz 3x3 die sold exclusively at The Scrapping Cottage. It's called the gecko variety and there are additional ways to deck out your gecko included on the die. I made sort of a modified tent topper using my heart Nesties. The sentiment is computer generated using my Card Factory Deluxe program. All it needed then were some flower embellies. There are so many adorable dies available at The Scrapping Cottage you'll definitely want to check it out. The new Halloween ones are TO DIE FOR and will be available soon. Click HERE to see all of the cards I've made with these adorable dies.
Now wouldn't you want to win $250 to shop at The Scrapping Cottage? Besides a HUGE variety of dies these have TONS of other stuff too. Well their Cottage Blog is aiming for 500 followers. They have loads of fun ideas as well as contests and such. Click HERE to find out how to win.

Missing You and some FABULOUS Blog Candy!

I've really been missing my BFF from college lately even though she visited in June (WAY too short Becky!) and I talked to her on Monday morning. Wish we were up at her cottage at the lake drinking tea (or wine), gabbing and maybe doing something crafty as well. Those are some of my best memories. This card was inspired by those times. You see she has an old bicycle parked outside the guest house and in the basket she plants flowers. It's just the sweetest garden ornament EVER and when I saw this adorable Cottage Cutz die available ONLY at The Scrapping Cottage that's immediately what I thought of. The papers here are from DCWV Green Stack and I fussy cut the birdies and branches. I used my Nesties to cut the sun and cuttled the center with D'Vine Swirls and the background with the ever popular Swiss dots.

The little flower pot and flower is another Cottage Cutz die that also includes an adorable curtained window. The sentiment is from the Cuttlebug Friends Forever cardmaking combo.
Some of these pieces were a little hard to pop but I did my best. For once though I think it'll actually fit in a regular envie with no additional postage required. WooHoo!

Now I've got to tell you about the FABULOUS Blog Candy my incredibly talented Cuttlebug Spot Design Team sister Steph is giving away. In honor of 100 + followers and 25,00 hits on her blog one lucky friend will win a $150 GIFT CARD to the store of their choice! OMG!!!!! Wow Steph, how unbelievably generous of you! You have until Aug 28th to enter so go spread the word. I have to chuckle a bit because Steph's blog is called "Where'd All My Money Go?" You're giving it away girlfriend, and we LOVE you for it!

A Day at Scrapbook Expo and Some Lovely Blog Awards

I'm sorry no card to post today but I've been busy shopping 'til I dropped at the Scrapbook Expo in Pleasanton, CA. I'd take a picture of all the goodies I bought but I'm afraid that would incriminate me terribly. Fortunately DH wasn't home so I could sneak my bags upstairs unnoticed. LOL It should suffice to say that I made several trips to the car before I was through.

I'm also way behind at posting some lovely blog awards. The first is from Caryn at Glitter Me Silly. She is an amazing crafter and fabulous mother to 5 (yes, count'em 5 adorable children) yet looks like a sweet child herself. If you love bling be sure to visit her wonderful blog. Thank you Caryn for this honor. P.S. She's also has some yummy candy available on her blog so click HERE to comment to win.

The second is from Rosy and Nicci. Rosy at Box Clever Papercrafts has some of the most fabulous sentiments I've ever read in her gorgous cards. Some are beautiful and touching and some make you LOL. Be sure to stop by her blog by clicking HERE. You can visit Nicci at Procraftination (isn't that just the most adorable name for a blog?) Nicci is also from across the pond and has some amazing things on her blog including a fabulous tutorial on making beautiful ribbon roses. Click HERE to check it out.
That makes 24 people I should be passing these awards along to. As far as I'm concerned, all of you who visit me and comment and have blogs of your own truly deserve these honors as well so please accept them with my heartfelt gratitude and admiration. Hugs! D

Also please don't forget my own BLOG CANDY. You have until April 1 to comment HERE.

Just leave my a comment by March 31 and your name will go into a hat for the drawing. If you'd like to put a link on your blog that would be great, but it's not a requirement. I'll announce on April 1 (no fooling! LOL) This candy is open to EVERYONE (meaning International friends as well) so if you've got a sweet tooth be sure to drop me a line.

Margie is a dear friend from the Cricut message board who is doing amazing work participating in numerous challenges and contests. She has a great sense of humor and always manages to got me out of a funk. Click HERE to be amazed by her creativity. The second award is from Rosy, another Cricut Message board friend from across the pond. I was soooo excited to have won the amazing blog candy Laura gave away for her blogaversary! Her BLOG is such a treat anyway and to actually be rewarded for visiting was such a surprise. Can't wait to play with all of the goodies I got! And she's featured in all of the publications she included. Congratulations Laura and THANK YOU SO MUCH!

And speaking of Blog Candy, my friend Sharon has been having such fun and doing such an amazing job with her new Magnolia stamps that she is giving away a darling set of stamps so you can play with her too. She's such a sweetheart to share her newfound love. Click HERE to enter and be sure to check out all of the lovely cards she's made with her Magnolias .

The blog award is from my dear friend Lillie. Not only is she an amazing crafter, but we speak on the phone nearly every day. (Sometimes twice! LOL) She inspires me immeasurably. Click on their names to view their blogs and I'm sure your creative juices will be flowing in no time!

Sorry I've taken a few days off from crafting, but Tues was such a gorgeous day that DH and I decided to drive up to Napa Valley and have lunch at one of our favorite places, Auberge du Soleil. Lunch was amazing and just take a look at this view from our table on the balcony. Priceless!
