No Peeking!

Here's a little Christmas project I just finished for the Lacy Sunshine Blog using the adorable Bows Santa's Little Helper available in the Seasonal section of the Lacy Sunshine Shop.  At my house I always store presents in the guest bedroom and wrap them there as well.  They are not always hidden away, so I thought it might be fun to make a little door hanger that warns the hubby not to go in there or he'll ruin my surprises.

Isn't Bows the cutest ever!?  She was so much fun to color with my Copics in the traditional red and green to match the fun DP all covered in wrapped gifts.  I've added some mini jingle bells to her top and one of her bows,

and to make sure I hear any snoopers, I've added a whole row of jingle bells with jump rings to the bottom of the hanger.  When I'm done wrapping, I can use this as a tag for a giant present.  Those bells ought to deter any shaking, don'tcha think?  Hope you like my little project.  It's never too early to be thinking about Christmas and you can find so many adorable Christmas digis in the Seasonal Section as well as the fabulous new Under the Sea Christmas Collection in the New Section of the shop.  Check out this month's Challenge and examples of the new cuties HERE.

I'm entering this in the CHNC Glam it Up Challenge, CHNC July Challenge Extra, Sweet Stampin Christmas in July, Simply Create Too Christmas in July, Christmas Stampin' All Year Long ATG, DTBST Christmas in July, Inky Chicks Christmas in July, Jingle Belles Shopping our Stash (everything but the larger jingle bells and the image is more than a year old)  and Shopping Our Stash (see previous list for stash) , Polkadoodles Add a Twinkle and Completely Christmas ATG.

Lacy Sunshine New Hobgobbies

There's a new Fantasy line of digi's premiering today on the Lacy Sunshine Blog.  Here come the Hobgobbies, furry little creatures sure to steal your heart.
I was lucky enough to create with FiFi Flirtydust Hobgobbi, available in the NEW section of the Lacy Sunshine Shop.

As soon as I saw her, I knew I wanted to make her fuzzy for I printed her 3 times so I could flock her.  Color flocking works best when the image has a bit of color so I added some shading to Fiffi and fussy cut the areas I wanted to flock.  I've cut her features, hand and flower from another of the digi's I'd printed and left one whole.

Then I ran her right side down through my Xyron.

Before flocking, I attached the small features in the appropriate places (easy peasy, since the adhesive was already there) and poured on the flock.  Be sure to rub that flock in to get good coverage.  The added features will remain smooth.

Because the lines seemed a bit obscured by the flocking, I went over them with the fine tip of my Memento marker.  I also colored the foot and hand of the  remaining digi and glued the flocked body on top.

Here she is, all finished up after fussy cutting the entire image with a white border and adding more fuzzy texture with some fiber grass and and pompom to her flower.  The silhouette flower stem behind is also fuzzy, cut out of all wool felt (poly or blend won't cut through) with my Spellbinders die through the Grand Caliber.  Be sure to check out the Lacy Sunshine Blog to see more of the adorable Hobgobbies and the fabulous creations by my Creative Team sisters.

Zandi and Zelda

Here's my little Creative Team project for the Lacy Sunshine Blog where you get weekly inspiration and all the scoop on what's happening in the world of Lacy Sunshine.  By now the word is out about the fabulous new Lacy Sunshine Crafts online magazine. You can still get yours HERE. But did you know that besides the 130+ pages of inspiration, tutorials, tips and treats you also will receive some Freebies that are brand new and will never be released in the shop? These exclusive new digis will be emailed to you with your purchase and I just couldn't help but do a little project with one of my faves, Zandi and Zelda. Those who know me know I have a bit of a thing for zebras and Zandi is about the cutest little zebra EVER! If you're at all interested in all my zebra stuff, be sure to click HERE.   I'm also quite a fan of black and white, and even more so when there's a pop of RED, so there ya go.

I've colored these cuties with Copics, fussy cut them and backed them with black and fussy cut them again. They're popped atop a circular side step card (tutorial on SplitcoastStampers HERE). I cut my circle using a Spellbinders Grand Circles and jazzed it up a bit by adding a scalloped border using the Grand Scalloped Circles and trimming it to fit. The only embellies need were some Alpha Bead hearts. The sentiment was computer generated. It reminds me of when I was in school and my BFF and I would dress alike. You know the old saying, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". Too cute!

I'm entering this in the Art by Miran ATG challenge, Crafty Little Fairies Spots and Stripes, the Fitztown Favorite Colors Challenge and A Random Fan Polka Dots Challenge.

Debuting Victorian Lizabeth for Lacy Sunshine

Today is my Saturday to post on the Lacy Sunshine Blog as a member of the Lacy Sunshine Creative Artist Team and I'm so excited to be debuting the new Victorian Lizabeth (scroll down to get yours). I couldn't help but do something Steampunk , using the Steampunk Debutant DP's from Graphic 45.

Isn't she AMAZING?!  I've colored this beautiful gal with Copics in the rich shades of the papers.
Skin: E000, E00, E11 Lips: E04
Hair: YR14, E07, E09
Dress: BG11, BG13, BG15, BG18
She's fussy cut and popped for dimension and I've added tiny metal gears from Tim Holtz.

Here's a better view of the dimension.  I've popped the layers so I could add die cut gears (Tim Holtz for Sizzix) that I've rubbed with Rub'n Buff and embossed with Frantage.  I can see this new darling gal in a lovely vintage setting or even a much darker scene as well.  Can't wait to color her up again.  Look for her in the New section of the Shop.  The Lacy Sunshine Blog is different from the Challenge Blog.  There is tons of inspiration, tutorials, and news of what's new and exciting in the Lacy Sunshine world.  Hope to see you there.

I'm entering this in the Fan-tastic Tuesday Floral Challenge, the Corrosive Head Gear Challenge, Simon Says Wednesday ATG, 613 Avenue Creates ATG,  Quirky Crafts Something Beginning With "S" (Steampunk) and SanDee's and amalie's Steampunk Heavy Metal Challenge.

I'm so Excited to be Part of the Lacy Sunshine Creative Team

Happy Saturday.  I'm excited to announce I've been invited to join the Lacy Sunshine Creative Team posting once a month on the Lacy Sunshine Blog.  WooHoo!  I just love working with Heather's adorable stamps and today I'm showcasing that busy gal Mayde, the resident Lacy Sunshine housekeeper.  Hope some of her habits run off on me.  LOL

I've made a little inspirational chore chart with note pad.  It's bound together on top with my Bind-It-All and attached to an easel card.  Each day you can flip the pages for a new chore and picture that features Mayde hard at work and all 6 are available in the NEW section of the Lacy Sunshine Shop

Monday features Mayde Laundry Day.

Tuesday, Mayde Pressing Matters.

Wednesday, Mayde Spring Cleaning Dust Bunnies
(in our house we call them dust kitties)

 Thursday, Mayde's Electric Broom

Friday, Mayde Scrub, Scrub, Scrub

and finally Mayde's Puppy Bathtime.

On Sunday, Mayde deserves a rest, don'tcha think?  Gotta say I had more fun coloring up these gals wih my Copics than I'll ever have doing chores.  Even Stickled the suds and put Glossy Accents on the bubbles. But I do think that just looking at this cutie will improve my attitude about the whole housework thing.

Finally, I added a little Sticky Note pad and attached a pen to the binding with some ribbon I curled.  Hope you enjoyed my project as much as I did making it and will visit the Lacy Sunshine Blog regularly to see what's new.
