Lacy Sunshine Dark vs Light and Spring Colors

There's a fun challenge on the Lacy Sunshine Facebook Fan Page in which you had the opportunity to choose between two images, one dark, one light.  Since I already HAD the Dark image (Amelia from Lady Heather's Curiosities, one of my absolute FAVES)  I actually chose the light one, Bashful Buttons and Bows Boo.  (I know you're  all wondering, who are you and what have you done with Donna?  LOL)  You gotta admit, though, she's pretty darn cute and I immediately had an idea so there ya go.  The giant button card was made with my Spellbinder's Grand circles and punched with my Cropadile Big Bite.  The big button is laced with ribbon that ties in a bow with Prima flowers and all kinds of real buttons as well.

Boo was colored with Copics, in Spring colors, so I can do some double duty for the Lacy Sunshine Blog Challenge as well.  I love adding those teeny buttons to her, and Stickles to her wings and if you look closely, you can see that I've embossed and interior circle in the big button so up close it does look a bit more realistic.  Still hope to do a dark card with Amelia but I just may not make it in time for the challenge.   Tomorrow is the Pleasanton Scrap Expo and after spending two and a half weeks shut up inside, I'm ready to do some major damage.  LOL

I'm also entering this in the Crafty Little Fairies Things With Wings Challenge (look hard, they're there, LOL), Crafty Ribbons Ribbons and Bows, and Hobbybook Designers Make It Girly.

There's a Party Going On at Dilly Beans

This week's theme at the Dilly Beans Challenge Blog is PARTY! I couldn't resist using the sweet #350 Amalia's Balloon Framed because what's a party without balloons, eh? I colored her with Copic to match the colorful DP from the 6x6 MME Lime Twist Life of the Party pad. Perfect!

My party girl has a little brad crown and I've embellished simply with some dotty ribbon and a #1 paper clip. If you're loving this sweet girl, be sure to check out the newest Amalia images just added to the Dilly Beans shop along with some funny little monsters and fabulous Dia de los Muertos skulls. Be sure to check out the fab inspiration HERE and we sure hope you join the party.
