Cat Lovers Hop 2018 Day 5 Halloween Pinwheel

It's Day 5 of the Cat Lovers Blog Hop at Her Peaceful Garden and I'm hanging in there.  And looky, looky, it's another project that involves REAL stamping from one of the sponsors of the Hop, Stampendous. WooHoo! I've made a Halloween pinwheel using a discarded piece that I found on one of our walks last year around this time.  Of course it's been laying on my table since then.  I used the kitty face stamp and die from a set by Fran from 2015, sadly no longer in the shop.  I glued a Halloween straw into the pinwheel where, I assume, the original had gone.  One of my artist made felted kitties looks pretty excited to be holding it while I tried to blow on it to take a video, but try as I might, I couldn't manage that to work so you've got to take my word for it that it spins.

Here's a closeup of the pinwheel with the stamped and cut out kitty face from the set and the bow.  I stamped with Memento, colored with Copics, added googly eyes and a little witch hat sticker from JoLee's.  The bow was stamped on patterned paper and cut using the coordinating die.

Thank you Stampendous for sponsoring the 2018 Cat lover's Blog Hop at Her Peaceful Garden!  There's still another day to hop and you can comment through Sunday to win! FAQ HERE and sign in HERE.

It's the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop!

It's the first day of the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop 2018 and things are really rolling.  Don't know how many entries I'll get in (because I'm the slowest crafter EVER, I never work ahead and have the worst time making decisions) but I did managed this for my first post using some of my previous winnings from the fabulous Super Sponsors.  I won this adorable stamp from Stampendous called Coffee Crazy at the last hop and you can get yours HERE.  I've stamped (Yes, REAL stamping, YAY me!) with Memento and colored with Copics.  The sentiment is from the Coffee, Tea and Wine Oh-MY! set (Got all my bases covered) from Super Sponsor A Creative Journey with Melissa.  Finally I added some flowers from my stash a top a gorgeous crinkle ribbon bow from Super Sponsor and dear friend DL.Art.  Short post but gotta HOP!

I'm also adding this to the DL.Art May Linky Challenge, Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #82 AG, 2 Crafty Critter Crazies May AG/w critters, Jo's Scrap Shack FFC #235, the Outlawz Festive Fridays AG, Simon Says Wednesday Use More than One Stamp

Week 2 Chapter 14 The Altered Alice Splendidly Dressed

"After a time she heard a little pattering of feet in the distance, and she hastily dried her eyes to see what was coming. It was the White Rabbit returning, splendidly dressed, with a pair of white kid gloves in one hand and a large fan in the other: he came trotting along in a great hurry, muttering to himself as he came, `Oh! the Duchess, the Duchess! Oh! won't she be savage if I've kept her waiting!'"-- Chapter 2; Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

Happy Easter everyone! April has arrived, which (in the northern hemisphere) brings thoughts of wearing your Sunday springtime best and perhaps donning an Easter bonnet! So we at The Altered Alice want to you to show us your Sunday best; ruffles, ribbons, lace, frills; however you want to interpret the challenge! I've made a little Easter pedestal vignette in a nest with a mini bell jar top.
The design team is so excited about showing off the brand new Wonderland Perfectly Clear™ Stamps from our sponsor, Stampendous (Website / Blog). This Alice is all dressed up from her shining shoes to the top of her hat, not to mention her frilly parasol! We will have THREE winners this month, and they will each receive the same Wonderland stamp set the design team is using! You can read more about this amazing company HERE.

I've used 4 of the fabulous stamps from this new collection in my project. Is that the Easter Bunny? No, it's the White Rabbit, late again. His sparkly texture was achieved by stamping OVER micro fine glitter that was adhered to the card stock using Be Creative Tape Sheets. I used Memento Ink so I could shade him with my Copics (yes, you can color over this glitter, it's so fine!) His pocket watch was also stamped with Brown Memento and detailed with gold gel pen before being coated with Glossy Accents. He's about to hop through the Looking Glass (resin frame from Melissa Frances). See the checkered floor beyond?

And finally, the beautifully detailed heart is the crowning touch for this little tableau. Both the floor and heart were stamped with Distress Inks and I was so pleased how wonderfully the impressions came out, not matter what ink I used.

My frilly elements for the challenge were the lace, ruffles, ribbon and pompom trim from my stash adorning the little wooden spool pedestal. The base was cut with my Nesties and the text is the same as our book quote for this week. The little resin teapot is also Melissa Frances.

Besides inspiration from my Sisters at The Altered Alice, we have fabulous work by the Stampendous Design Team as well so be sure to visit each week. Enter using the Linky Tool by Friday, April 27 (my BIRTHDAY, WooHoo!). All entries are welcome but Alice in Wonderland entries are encouraged and will receive two chances at the drawing instead of one. Multiple entries are great but each must be on a separate post. Have a glorious Easter!

I'm also entering this in the Our Creative Corner In Your Easter Bonnet Challenge

TOFF Birds of a Feather Challenge

This week's TOFF challenge is Birds of a Feather. Actually, this was my original design for last week's Crown or Hat challenge, but I decided to use my Macabre Monday card to enter that one, so this one didn't get made. Still liked the idea, though, and chicks are obviously birds, so... Anyway, I've used Chick Girl for the main image and created my own DP using another little chick from the Easter and Spring Digital Set. I added the "chicks rule" with my Printmaster Platinum computer program. I'm really not too fond of the Copic yellows so the yellow on Chick Girl and the lighter chicks on the DP are painted (rather messily) with Distress Inks. I've drawn the crowns on all the of the small ones and colored them in with a gold gel pen.

I've also painted and sponged the background with Distress inks. The rest of the Chick Girl is colored with Copics. Her crown is a Stampendous Stamp that I heat embossed and cut and popped. I won the stamp on Taylor's blog. She's on the Stampendous DT and does fabulous work and has wonderful giveaways. I've added a feather and also the bow that is part of the Chick Girl image. I really enjoy working with the fun quirky stamps from The Octopode Factory. Check out more inspiration from the fabulous DT HERE.
