Guest Designing at Show Your Digi Love

I'm thrilled to be guest designing at Show Your Digi Love, a place for you to show your love for your favorite digi companies.  Each week the challenge features several artists and you may enter the challenge with any of them.  T his month they're featuring SBS, Slinky Tart, The Paper shelter and KennyK.  I chose  the adorable Jayne Jettpack from Kenny K for my "bum loving" man.  I've used DP from the DCWV Tattered Time Stack and embossed the mat with my 5x7" Cuttlebug Gears folder.  Added a few Mini Metal Gears from Tim Holtz and I was good to go.  Sentiment was computer generated.  Thanks so much for SYDL for having me.

I'm entering this in the Outlawz Saturday Paper a la Mode Femme Fatale challenge, Simon Says Monday ATG, Simon Says Wednesday ATG, C.R.A.F.T. Use Metal and KennyK's Krafty Krew ATG/Just a Girl Challenge.

Guesting at Show Your Digi Love

This month I'm guesting at Show Your Digi Love, a new(ish) challenge blog where you can show your favorite Digi companies your love of their stamps. Each month the blog hosts several digi companies and you may join the challenge with any of them.  It's a "just for fun" challenge, but if you win you receive a fab badge (check my sidebar) and a GDT position for the next month's challenge. This month they're featuring SBS, Slinky Tart, The Paper Shelter  and Kenny K. I chose Kenny K because I bought this image awhile back for my "bum loving" man (heehee!) but had yet to color her up.  Meet Jayne Jettpack.  She was such a blast to color with my Copics.  She's a bit Steampunky, so I've used DP from the DCWV Tattered Time pack and embossed the mat with my Cuttlebug 5x7" Gears folder.  Added a couple of Tim Holtz mini metal gears to the corners and she was good to go.  I want to thank the gals at Show Your Digi Love for having me join them this month and invite you all to come play along.

I'm entering this in the Outlawz Saturday Paper a la Mode Femme Fatale Challenge, Simon Says Monday ATG, Simon Says Wednesday ATG, KennyK's Krafty Krew ATG/Just a Girl.

Wicked Wednesday ATC Anti-Valentine

Been missing playing along over Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge and this week it's Anti-Valentine's Day.  Couldn't miss the chance to use the adorable Anti-Valentine image from Aurora Wings one more time so here she is, this time in red and black.  For some reason my printer won't calibrate and is printing my images with a shadow but c'est la vie.  She's colored with Copics and mounted on thick textured paper by Sizzix.  My cutter wouldn't cut it through so I ended up tearing the edges.  Liked the distressed look so I used my Distrezz-it-All to distress the red mat as well and used my tiny attacher to put them together.  The arrow tip is a heart shaped Alpha Bead and the sentiment is computer generated.  Sorry for the crap picture but it's late, the artificial light in my laundry room is doing it no favors and the double image is making it look blurry.  Not my night.

I'm also entering this in the Kenny K's Krafting Krew Distressed Edges Challenge.

A Valentine for my Man

As soon as I saw Veronica Vamp by Kenny K, I knew she was gonna be on this year's Valentine for my man.  Had to say I kept it kinda simple ('cause he likes it that way), using two different doilies, a touch of embossing and a sentiment from Ginger's House.  Couldn't forget the lips though.  His kiss?  MMMMmm...!!!  (Oh oh, TMI?)

Now tell me you're surprised she's a redhead.  LOL  Really fun to color, too.

And inside...well...  Wishing you all the love of your dreams.  Happy Valentine's Day.

I'm entering this in the KennyK's Krafty Krew's Love Challenge, Digi Stamps 4Joy Hearts, the Outlawz Paper a la Mode Valentine's Challenge, TTRCD ATG Feb 11th -17th, Sassy Studios DTBST It's Valentine's Day Challenge, the Fan-Tastic Tuesday  Romance challenge, the Corrosive Feel the Love Challenge, the Crafter's Cafe Must Have Hearts and the very first Naughty or Nice Love challenge (the image is a bit naughty but the sentiment is nice).

Wicked Wednesday Sporty Girls

I'll tell you I had a tough time with this week's Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge, Sporty Girls, until I came upon a freebie image I had from Kenny K.  For those of you who don't think jumping rope is sporty, TRY IT!  Holy crap!  Not for wimps, I'd say.  She's colored with Copics and the sentiment is computer generated.  Glued twine to where the rope was and added a little sun brad.  Looks like she's having a ball, don'tcha think?

I'm also entering this in the Forever Friends Girls Challenge, the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge, and Simon Says Stamp and Show Very Strict Anything Goes Challenge.

TOFF Time Challenge

Here I am, almost LATE again for The Octopode Factory Friday challenge. How fitting that the challenge would be "Time". I thought about it all week but had lots of other stuff to do. So many possibilities. But today was sort of bad day and this is what I came up with. I used Steampunk Violet and gave her some wings from Kenny K's Xmas Accessories. The background stamp is from The Cutting Cafe, the clouds cut on my Cricut from Paper Pups. The sentiment is computer generated with some Alpha Bead sarcasm. HA!

Bah! Humbug! Mice Challenge

EEEk! Humbug Hall is filled with MICE (or meeces as the humbuggers like to call them)! That's the challenge this week at Bah!Humbug! Bet you know where this one's going, eh? Goliath insisted on being the star of this simple card. Anybody tired of him gifting us with these? Yeah, me too! Anyway, the Santa hat is from a Kenny K Xmas Accessories digi. The mice are MS punches and the "Night Before Christmas" DP is by My Mind's Eye. Could it be more perfect? The frame was cut with my Nesties and there ya go, easy peasy. Be sure to check out the sweet mice cards by the B!H! team. Bet they weren't expecting one like this. LOL

Macabre Monday Kuriously Korroded with Kenny K

This week's Macabre Monday Challenge calls for a card that is "kuriously korroded" as in sanded, torn or otherwise distressed, sponsored my the fabulous Kenny K. The Minions cackled when I chose my Kenny K image, which is Mae Western, but I couldn't help it, it was RODEO Weekend here in Livermore. How could I not? And while she's hardly macabre, I do think she has a bit of a nasty streak, don't you? Korroded it is. The denim paper is torn, the C'oredinations is embossed with Tim Holtz Woodgrain and sanded and chewed with my Distrezz-It-All and there's quite a bit of inking going on. Mae is colored with Copics and fussy cut and she's sittin' on one gigantic spur, cut with the Old West Cartridge on my Circut. So is that fab barbed wire.

So here's where the nasty somes in. She's been ridin' that cowboy HARD! See that blood on the spur? And a bit on the barbed wire, too. Did that cowboy try to escape?..Nah... Too much pleasure in this pain...Oh, that was LAST week...my bad! LOL

A little rope action inside and the sentiments were computer generated and cut and matted with Nesties Labels Seventeen. YeeHaw! Now get along and see what the rest of the Minions have in store for you and be sure to play along for a chance to win some Kenny K's! (try to make you're a little darker than mine, though. I was almost drummed out of the corps. ;) I'm also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp and Show which is Distressed or Torn Edges and the Gingersnap Creations Denim Rust and Dust challenge.

Blue Christmas

Don't ask. No, I'm no further along with ANYTHING I actually HAVE to do. DH wanted to go to Carmel yesterday so I ditched my decorating and DT card plans and off we went. Even with crap weather it's a magical town.

This card, however, has been in my mind for quite awhile, and oops, yes, it's another KennyK (can't help it, I LOVE them and I sure had good luck last time). This image is Devilish Donna (wonder why she's my FAVE, LOL) with a little Santa hat from Xmas Accessories. She's colored with Copics with some added shimmer from Spica pens with some Stickles on her hat for good measure. The card stock is some shimmery Bazzil with a glitter paper mat and the pine boughs and snowflakes are MS punches. With the added gems, pearls and yummy ribbon, I think this will definitely qualify for the Digital Tuesday Sparkling Christmas (plus digi) Challenge as well as the Copic Creations challenge which is also Sparkle, don't you? I'm also entering it in the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge Show Us Some Snow. (Tell me this challenge blog isn't right up my alley. LOL)

See her little tear? I've been listening to Christmas music and "Blue Christmas" really gets to me. In fact, nearly all Christmas songs make me tear up, not just the sad ones. What's up with that? Does anyone else get highly emotional during the holidays? So as you can imagine, this card is inspired by that song and fits in with the Sentimental Sundays Inspired by a Song Challenge.
Of course the sentiment should come as no surprise. Hope it's okay for the challenge that's it's on the inside. Just couldn't make it fit on the front. And I decorated it, no less. Quite the labor of love. I sure hope you all are with your loved ones this Christmas, but if anybody is missing anybody out there, this card's for you. xx

Kenny K's Let it Snow and One Stop Sassy Christmas Challenges

Am I done with my decorating? Don't ask, but seems like I've got other things on my mind so I decided to sneak in a quicky for the Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Let it Snow challenge. This is Troublemaker, isn't she cute? And sassy? You bet! Perfect for the Sassy Christmas Challenge at One Stop Craft Challenges. The DP is Cosmo Cricket, mats cut with Spelbinder's Wonky Squares (my current fave), embossing folder is an OMC internet special from last year, snowflakes are Cuttlebug and MS punches, adhesive gems from M's, sentiment is computer generated and self explanatory. LOL Wonder who I should send this to?
And WooHoo! I won!

Kenny K's Challenge #10 Embossing

This is my first time playing along with Kenny K's Krafty Girlz challenge. I so love these images and was anxious to color Devilish Donna (seriously, that's her name!). I've been listening to music (Eva Cassidy) and her version of Autumn Leaves is pretty amazing (it's definitely a Fall day here) so I used it as inspiration. The gorgeous purple paper is from K&Co Allegheny Plum. I tore some paper for the mat behind and embossed it with the Cuttlebug Allegro folder and added some embossed leaves. Missing you is from the Forever Friends Card Making Combo. (also Cuttlebug)

Donna is colored with Copics and I used spica pens for some sparkle. Can you see it here? Maybe, sort of. Hard to capture that.

I didn't have the right color ribbon so I colored some with my Copics and added a copper heart charm. The leaves and Donna are popped for dimension. Well, I just went to check out the time and I'm too late for the challenge. Bummer! I would have done this card anyway, though. Hope you like. xx

Anniversary Card and BBTB2 Blog Hop Winner

Monday is our 35th Anniversary, but before I say anything else, I want to thank Queen B. Without the inspiration from her adorable Tiddly Inks Back to School card, I would still be scrambling for the perfect idea. Now perhaps I have some 'splaining to do. My DH (that's dear husband, Andrea) always gives me the sweetest, most romantic cards on the planet. I've learned however, over the past 35 years, that he prefers...something...else. LOL When I saw the KennyK's Gothik Angelz digis (this one's Allura Von D, isn't she cheeky? ahhh...literally!) I KNEW that one of those babes FOR sure was gonna end up on the card, but NerdyBot from Tiddly Inks? Oh yeah, perfect!

When we were in college my sorority sisters teased the crap out of me for dating a PhD candidate in PHYSICS. They went so far as to buy the poster "Are you a NERD?" (with the guy in the flood pants, white short sleeved shirt and tie with the pocket protector, taped together glasses and slide rule on his belt) and hung it in my room. Trust me, David NEVER looked like that. (I picked him out at the MSU swimming pool...enough said! ;D ) He, however, frequently refers to himself as a nerd so I'm reasonably sure no offense will be taken. I'm positive he'll get a kick out of the sentiment (and little Allura there) and I guarantee he'll LOLwhen he opens it up. That however, is private, but let's just say there may be some reference to a slide rule. HeeHee! (Sorry, haven't cleaned the gutter yet.)

Now on to what you've TRULY been waiting for; the winner of the $30.00 gift certificate to Custom Crops. DRUMROLL PLEASE.....................................

WooHoo! Congratulations # 81, Penniannie who wrote

Oh and I apologize if I haven't made it around to your blog this week. I'm scrambling to get my DT stuff done so we can truly enjoy the weekend. (I promised no crafting)
