Dilly Beans Mermaids!

It's Friday and time for another Dilly Beans challenge and this time it's MERMAIDS!  Don'tcha just love 'em?  Megan's got gobs of adorable ones in her SHOP so you'll be just spoilt for choice. (OOOh, my UK buddies are rubbing off on me, LOL)  I've had this fun funky DP for years and never could figure out quite how to use it.  Thought it would be perfect for the challenge so I decided Megan's very first, #224 Mermaid (scroll down to find her) because she so totally looked at home in this scene.

She's colored with Copics, fussy cut and popped.  The little fishies are brads and an eyelet crab is dancing at the bottom among the shells (a Martha Stewart punch.)  The sentiment is computer generated and I've framed the words with gel pen.  Just wait 'til you see the fabulous work of my teamies!  they've truly outdone themselves this week so be sure to stop my the Dilly Beans Challenge Blog to check them out.  Can't wait to see what you come up with but please remember a Dilly Beans image is required.

I'm entering this in the TTRCD July 9-15th ChallengeCrafts and Me Anything Goes, Stamp and Doodle Oceans or the Sea, the Deep Ocean On the Beach Challenge and Creative Stamp Friends Tags Challenge.

Dilly Beans Flowers Challenge

The weather is spectacular here and of course that's bringing out all kinds of flowers.  Fitting Challenge for Dilly Beans this week.  I chose these fabulous funky ones #550 Doodle Flowers Framed to make a CAS card using my Printmaster Platinum program to crop and color each piece digitally and add the text at the bottom of the frame.  Then I just cut it out and mounted it over the embossed front et voila!  I really love how it came out and plan to do a whole set of note cards wth different colors and sentiments.  My talented teamies have all sorts of fab flowers to show you so pop on by the Dilly Beans Challenge Blog and have a look.  I'm sure you'll want to play along.

I'm also entering this in the Whimsical Designs Smell the Flowers ChallengeThe Paper Shelter Make it Bloom Challenge, Bearly-Mine Spring Flowers, the Deep Ocean Flowers and Fantasy Challenge (these sure look like fantasy flowers to me!), the Digital Tuesday Springtime Challenge, the Cupcake Craftroom Summer Blooms Challenge, and Going Grey with Scrap-Creations Flower Power Challenge.

Dilly Beans Anything Goes

Happy Black Friday!  Is everyone out shopping?  Not me, Can't deal with the crowds, although I seem to be scoring online.  LOL  I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Our plans feel through so it was quiet, but nice.  We've got an easy one for you at Dilly Beans, this week, ANYTHING GOES.  WooHoo, although for me it was a tough decision.  I'm lovin' the new little boy images at the SHOP, so I finally went with #505 Warm Winter Wishes Noah Framed.  Colored his face with Copics and paper pieced the rest.  Added some Flower Soft to his furry hat and instead of the glue, adhered it with my Xyron.  Seemed to work fine.

The snowflakes are Spellbinders and the little snowball wire is from M's I think.  The little balls helped pop the matted image.  Oh yeah, there's a lttle button and some epoxy snowflakes there as well.  My post is a bit late as I was informed I'd exceeded my Google storage or whatever, but all fixed now.  Dilly Beans is running a bit late as well, but be sure to check back and come play along.

I'm also entering this in Fussy and Fancy Feeling Blue, Deep Ocean Challenge Pastel Colors, the Ladybugs Craft Ink TLT Snowflakes Challenge, and Going Grey with Scrap-Creations Winter challenge.
