Dilly Beans Traditional Christmas Colors

Of course this isn't for Creepmas!  Please scroll down.

It's a new challenge day at Dilly Beans and this week we're pulling out the old red and green.  Yup! Traditional Chistmas colors are what we want to see.  I've used 2 different digi's here, the bottom row is #525 Three Penguins, and the other 3 are from #524 Three Penguin Blocks.  I've cropped the top three in my Printmaster program to arrange them accordingly, colored them all with Copics and cut them into sort of a penguin pyramid.  They're popped atop a bingo card I cut with my Cricut (designed in DS, .cut file available HERE) and added some fun buttons and epoxy holly and berries.  Not sure if I'm gonna make this into a card or giant tag.  Please visit my teamies for fab inspiration HERE and come play along.

I'm entering this in the Cut It Up Christmas Challenge, TTRCD ATG Dec 10-16, Delightful Challenges Red and Green, Papertake Weekly Christmas Creatures, the Shabby Tea Room Noel photo inspiration Challenge including buttons and polka dots, and 613 Avenue Create ATG.

Tiddly Inks Meets The Shabby Tea Room

It's Fabulous Inky Friday at the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog where we feature amazing creations not only by the DT, but from our superbly talented participants as well. Our prize winner from the previous week is also announced, so don't miss out. Although this is not my team's week to necessarily follow our challenge, I was poking around some fave challenge blogs and came across the fab inspiration photo (see below) and yellow pink and green color challenge at The Shabby Tea Room, with the challenge title of Relax and Enjoy. I immediately thought of the Tiddly image "Take Me Away" and chose to follow the Tags or Tickets Challenge at Tiddly Inks as well.

Okay, it's a pretty literal interpretation of The Shabby Tea Room challenge, but I couldn't help myself.

And Relax and Enjoy, isn't that what soaking in the tub is all about? Take Me Away is colored with Copics and cut and matted with Nesties. I've added acrylic adhesive bubbles and used Glossy Accents in between.

The gorgeous papers are Graphic 45's From Baby to Bride collection. I've added shabby touches like the heart shaped doily, crinkle seam binding from the Prairie Bird Boutique(thanks Steph, lovin' this stuff!) and this lovely rose from Recollections. The tickets are Tim Hotz and couldn't be more perfect. Don't all girls dream and wish to be taken away sometimes?

Woo Hoo! My Third for ADFD

I still can't believe I've completed three! Here's my third and final offering for the A Day For Daisies 300 member CDAC party. I've had so much fun with this challenge. The free images were just adorable (scroll down for my earlier post from today and the first from Saturday) and I actually managed to color two of them today, with Copics, of course. This one is all girly and sweet. It makes me think of a first birthday card because of the single candle so I used the DCWV Nana's mat stack. The image is cut with my oval Nesties and the mat is the Crowned Ovals inked with Smeared Lipstick Distress Ink.

I popped the mat and image for dimension and added punched photo corners (EK Sucess).

The ribbon is from Prairie Bird Boutique (thanks Steph!) and the little bear charm was a bargain from M's and actually has a clip that you can detach and put on a bracelet. Too cute! If you've never visited the A Day For Daisies Store, you must. The images are just precious and there's something for everyone. If you prefer Etsy, you can buy them HERE too. I'm also entering this in The Shabby Tea Room's So Charming Challenge. Now it's time to rest my eyes. We've still not figured out the right contact prescription for both far and near and I have to wear readers over my contacts to color. It's a bitch being old!

Peggy Loves Vintage for The Shabby Tea Room and the BBTB2 Blog Hop Winner

I've been wanting to play along with The Shabby Tea Room since the blog started, the challenges are imaginative and fun and the Design Team cards are always gorgeous and inspiring. Although you are not required to do a "shabby" or vintage card I've always felt that I should at least try to approximate that style in order to feel good about participating and this week I think I did okay. A big help was the adorable vintage baby's bathtime image from Peggy Loves Vintage. Peggy lovingly collects real vintage cards and cleans them up and presents them on CD's and and Cut-Out sheets for every occasion. If you love vintage style, be sure to take a look at her vast collection in HERE and pop over to her BLOG and become a follower. There are fabulous freebies to be had.

This week's Shabby Tea Room Challenge combines a photo inspiration with a "2-4-6" recipe: 2 patterned papers, 4 buttons, and 6 layers. One needn't neccesarily use the colors in the photo but I used my MS French Scroll Punch Around the Page to give a doily feel to the mat and slightly softer versions of the peach and green for my color palette. The 2 beautiful DP's and "B" block are by the Graphic 45 Baby to Bride Collection. The 4 vintage buttons are from a RAK from my dear friend Joy and the vintage crinkle seam binding is from the Prairie Bird Boutique(thanks, Steph!). You have 'til Sunday to join in on this fab challenge so why not give it a go?

And now, on to the winner of the BBTB2 Blog Hop Candy. the winner of the $40.00 gift certificate to CUSTOM CROPS is..... number 5!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!
