I made it with my Bah! Humbug! challenge which this week is punched borders. Boy, do I have border punches! I think they reproduce in my drawers and the pile on my floor gets bigger and bigger! I've been missing my weekly Cuttlebug Spot challenge since we have the month of May off so I decided to do a simple embossed card because it goes so well with punched borders. The ornament folder is from a bundle and I'd never even opened it. It's actually 5 x 7, but I cut the embossing apart for this card. The Merry Christmas is cut from the folder and trimmed and popped with a red frame. Both border punches are from Martha Stewart.
But wait! I felt sooo terrible about missing last week's Christmas Food Challenge (good loyalty member that I am, LOL) that I made a second card featuring a gingerbread man along with a border punch so I guess it qualifies for this week as well. The little guy is welded in Cricut DS to the card base with additional layers popped with dimensionals. The DP is Cosmo Cricket Rise and Shine line which isn't Christmas but it just looks like Santa's kitchen to me. I've added a candy cane just for good measure here.
I've kind of dropped the ball on the insides of my card but here you can see how he front is actually layered. The border punch is again MS (she says while sticking yet ANOTHER pin in her voodoo doll. LOL) So anyway, even though it's late, I've not missed a challenge yet at my favorite Christmas Challenge Blog, Bah! Humbug!
Lovely, lovely cards! I'm a huge fan of embossing, so am especially taken with these ones. I love those Christmas border punches. I've never seen them before!

Donna, both of these cards are fantastic! Red and white is always a favorite and with the embossing and border punch it is elegant, too. The gingerbread cookie is amazing and yummy! I would have that card sitting out all year as a cheerful reminder of the holidays.
