New in the Shop by Sandra Caldwell
I'm still so lucky to be guesting for Sandra Caldwell and this is my inspiration for a stamp that's re-released in her Etsy SHOP today, #585 Snowman Ornie. I've set him in a winter wonderland, after all, he's got his scarf and earmuffs and we wouldn't want him to melt now, would we? I used a Cuttle embossing folder and cut out the center with my craft knife. It's popped on some Bazzill shimmer cardstock that I've also embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots. The pine branch is from Memory Box and I've fussy cut Snowman Ornie to hang from a branch. Some sparkly snowflakes and a sentiment sticker complete the scene.
Here's a closeup of #585 Snowman Ornie. I actually printed him 3 times for layering. The colored parts are done with Copics. The first layer is the entire stamp. I then used Be Creative Tape and applied it to a second image and fussy cut just the face. I colored and fussy cut the eyes and nose and applied them to the image after peeling off the backing of the tape. You need to do that first, before dusting it with microfine Art Glitter, or the layers don't stick well. This glitter is so fine that you can actually color over it with your markers, although you might need to brush off a few crumbs. Finally, I cut a pom pom in half and used Fabric Fusion to apply it to his earmuffs. All warm and cozy.
Each Monday Sandra releases new stamps to her Etsy Shop (babycakesdnd). Check out the Sandra Caldwell Stamp Fans FB Group for more inspiration and loads of fun.
I'm entering this in the DL.Art October Linky Challenge, the Creatalicious Challenge 100 ATG/Let's Celebrate, Weekly Christmas Card Challenge #43, Sparkle N Sprinkle ATG (with loose glitter, embossing powder or flocking) and Crafting When We Can Christmas Comes Early,
