Where's my BBTB2 card? Well, I haven't done it yet due to all of the party preparations but perhaps will have one tomorrow. In the meantime, I DID complete my Cuttlebug Spot card which this week is to use 2x2 folders or dies. I have LOADS of them yet I rarely think to use them so I enjoyed this challenge immensely. My card is very simple using the 4 folders from the Cuttlebug Formal Squares set. I cut them with my Nesties and backed them with Nestie Scalloped Squares. They are arranged on a mat embossed with Swiss Dots and the sentiment is from a Sizzix wedding set cut with my Nesties Petite Regular and Scalloped Ovals and popped. Went together really quick but I thought this would make a great wedding or anniversary card. Now go and take a look at the fab cards created by my DT sisters and why not have a go at it yourself? There's a $20 gift certificate to Custom Crops up for grabs.

Donna, this is so pretty! Love how you used that little set of embossing folders. Now that I see this, I realize I have TONS of those little folders, I just don't have any of the 2x2 die! The Nesties were perfect for this pretty little set (which I DO have! LOL) and the sentiment almost seems like it was made to got with it! Sorry I missed the party... I took a wrong turn someone in Kansas! LMAO!
ReplyDeleteDonna, your card is just adorable! Simple, if you say so, all that cutting with the nesties and embossing is work girlfriend. I'm so glad you had a wonderful 4th of July, even though I missed our daily chats, lol. Yes we had fun at our block party, they do it every 4th of July, and we even had fire-works afterward. Awesome take on the challenge...luv it!

This is just so delicate and elegant. Great job with your little folders!! I love the white on soft blue as well!! I really like the idea of this challenge and am hoping to find time to participate. How is it that holidays are so busy this year!?!
ReplyDeleteWondering if there is anything Donna can't do? I wish my simple cards looked this good. You are truly amazing. I must have been with Margie and took the wrong turn and didn't make it to the party. lol
ReplyDeleteOh Donna this is so elegant! I love the white with the soft blueand all the fab embossing. Who knew we had all these fab 2x2's lurking in our stash feeling lonely!!

ReplyDeleteDonna, I love the frilly elegant touches on this. Glad your party went well and no stories of wind blow chairs, etc. Hugs
ReplyDeleteSuch an elegant card, Donna. The four square designs and the oval sentiment just make for a perfect card. I need to use my 2x2 Cuttlebug embossing folders a little more.

Something weird is going on with Blogger lately - it's not showing posts then it is - anyway! Love this card - I never use my 2x2's but this has totally inspired me to pull them out again! Love this!

Your card was exactly what I wanted for my son's upcoming wedding, so I lifted. Hope that's ok. I used a pale pearl yellow instead of blue, and wrapped a white satin ribbon around the middle before popping the oval. IT turned out amazing. Can't thank you enough for sharing your talent with those of us challenged in the creativity area.
