Didya get all of that? The initials, I mean. This week our challenge at BBTB2 is the darling elephant cut from Everyday Paper Dolls chosen by my dear friend and super talented DT sister, Sandi. Isn't he the cutest? Well, I did have my troubles because you know I prefer my cuts to have shadows and of course the Paper Dolls cuts don't but I managed to do a shaped card anyway. I have to admit this is design #2 but I'm okay with it. I found the best way for me to preserve the cute facial details was to use my Cricut markers. I welded the the cuts with a rectangle from PS and did some trimming on the trunk to do the base. The top is the outlined elephant with a Cuttlebug birthday present from the cut and emboss folder tied to his tummy. He's holding some Prima flowers in his trunk.
I got a bit of popping with his ear and two legs and added some detail by Stickling the toenails and adding one of those sweet lidded google eyes.
I thought this would make a cute belated birthday card so this is the inside sentiment. Be sure to check out the adorable take by my DT sisters at BBTB2. Wow, what inspiration. Hope you can play along.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE this card..I hadn't really thought of this but using the markers for the paper dolls carts is the best idea, since you can not layer then you need those other features to really stand out!
