Bah! Humbug! Baubles Challenge
Well, here I am again at the last minute submitting to Bah! Humbug! Wouldn't it be nice to make it in advance so that you could all participate in the challenge? By the time this is posted, they may have next week's challenge on the blog so be sure to check it out and get a heads up. Well, this week the challenge was baubles. (Christmas ornaments in U.S. speak) I made a shaped card with my Cricut Design Studio and the Christmas Solutions Cartridge in what from the pic looks like an atrocious red and mirror silver. The base was covered in German glass glitter and the top was embellished with red adhesive gems. Honestly, it is prettier IRL.
I did a bit of popping and would have loved the chance to try another color way, but DH wanted to go see a flick and out to dinner and who was I to deny him the pleasure? (Whoa! The Mel Gibson The Edge of Darkness is quite the movie.) If you're a Christmas lover, be sure to check out the fun and fab challenges at Bah!Humbug!

ReplyDeleteJust wanted to come by quickly and see whats been going on. I think this looks really pretty and has cool dimension for a papercraft item! Looks like a "real" ornament! I am a little tickled your still doing Xmas stuff! hehe!
Ok goodnight babe!
Donna, your bauble came out great! I can see you are still in the holiday spirit, I have put all my Xmas toys away until the end of the year. Love all the layers.

Hi Donna,
ReplyDeleteThis is a really pretty tree decoration. I've got the cartridge and I've never noticed that shape before. Guess who'll be having some of these for next Christmas.
Great project.

Beautiful Donna! Glitter and mirror are just the pits to get a good pic of, so though it looks completely wonderful here I'm sure it's spectacular IRL! :-)
