It's an exciting day today with 3 new Sprites debuting on the AuroraWings Showcase blog. EEEK! How fun! First off is Kitsune Sprite. This mischief making fox with multiple tails is from Japanese folklore, a baby here, but she could grow up to be scary indeed. Be sure to read about her legend in the Showcase post.
My tree frame background die is by Gina Marie and I've used gold leaf stickers by Little B and gold script puffy alphabet stickers from the Paper Source.
Here's Kitsune Sprite's closeup. I colored her with Copics as a red fox to compliment the warm fall colors in my scene with a little extra fur detail with Prismacolor pencils. The sprig of Chinese lanterns adds to the autumn feel.

Next is Hepatica (or Liverwort) Sprite. This wildflower grows in the forests of Europe and the Northeastern parts of the US. Such a funny name for a sweet little flower, eh? Here I've recycled a pocket envelope from Anthropologie and added a blank pull out tag topped with gorgeous crinkle ribbon from DL.Art. I popped Hepatica Sprite on a rectangle of coordinating paper trimmed in silver border stickers. The lace "Perfect" sticker hides the logo "perfectly" (after coloring it green with my Copics). LOL
This tiny beauty grows in shades of purples, pinks and blues, but you'll see on the Showcase Blog that she's adorable in any color you choose. Again, I've colored with Copics and added some tiny Nuvo drops to the stamens.

Last, but not least, is Indian Corn Sprite and I've gotta say, I had the most fun EVER coloring her. Those multicolored ears just scream Fall, my favorite time of year and I was lucky to find a printed Autumn wreath in an old Scrapbook pad and frame block to bring it all together. The sticker sentiment was so tiny that I mounted it on some plaid paper and added a flower to the frame so it didn't get lost in the noise. The layers are popped and I added a crinkle ribbon bow from DL.Art.
I knew I wanted to really do some detail work with the kernels so I printed her at 5 inches. I actually printed her twice and flipped one for variety a(nd in case I messed up). Again I went with Copics and used this photo as inspiration.
Now I can't wait to color her again. Just think of the possibilities!
