Don't you just love it when an idea for a challenge card comes to you IMMEDIATELY?! Well I was thrilled with this week's challenge at BBTB because Regina chose the "Love" cut from Home Accents and specified that the "LVE" had to be done in brown. To any self respecting chocoholic that of course means CHOCOLATE! The entire front of the card is open and shaped using the Love cut (of course), the large cupcake from Celebrations, and the small cupcake bottoms (also from Celebrations) with circles from Plantin Schoolbook for the truffles. The remaining words were the PS roly poly feature (my fave for this kind of thing) and that entire conglomeration was welded to a rounded square (also from PS) using Cricut Design Studio. All of the chocolate was cut in yummy Bazzill shimmery card stock and cuttled and chalked. The bases were run through the crimper. Tons of layers and dimensionals were used to get the depth I wanted and the words were accented with pink rhinestones. I even managed to do an inside sentiment which came to me at the last minute. I used the same heart from the "Love" cut in slightly larger sizes (but small enough so it wouldn't show through from the front) and again used PS for the letters. Be sure to stop by Bitten by the Bug and see how the Design Team rocked this challenge! You'll be amazed! Why is there such a big space here at the end? I'll never get the hang of this blogging stuff! Oh yea! fixed it.

ReplyDeleteYum yum! I have a sudden craving for anything chocolate -- well, not really, I ALWAYS crave chocolate! Wonderfull card! Oh, and I love your new background for your blog --- you are so right about great minds!
ReplyDeleteP.S. That space at the bottom of your post can be easily removed by editing your post. Go to the bottom and delete all those blank lines. One of the most mysterious, and aggravating, things about Blogger is all the blank lines that mysteriously appear as I am composing -- or spaces I want that don't appear!! Ugh! I am learning basic html which helps in editing these things in code rather than text.
Thanks, Barb! the HTML thing seemed to do the trick (after about 20 tries. LOL I'm sooo computer illiterate!) xxD
