Cat Lovers Hop Day 2

Welcome my contribution to Day 2 of the Cat Lover's Hop.  Have you checked out this fabulous Hop that Janis from Her Peaceful Garden has put together?  This is the 3rd year and it just keeps getting bigger and better.  If you love cats, you gotta go see.  Great games, prizes and inspiration.  Link up as many projects as you like and get the deets HERE and check out the daily games, too.  This year you'll have all week to participate in them, as well.  WooHoo!

This project was inspired by the Outlawz Tuesday Color challenge photo and greatly influenced by the Cat Lovers Hop.  (Gee, ya think?)

I thought this was a tough challenge until I found holographic paper in my stash and finally my "Peace" die from Sizzix resurfaced from???  Perfect for a sparkly Christmas card, but WAIT!  Peace became "Peaceful" in honor of Her Peaceful Garden with the addition of a few letters from my QuiKutz Alphabet and loads of kitties from my Inspiration Obsession Die joined the scene.  Wishing all cat owners a Peaceful Christmas.  (Is that even possible with all of those fun decorations to play with?)  These kitties look pretty mellow.  Added some sparkly snowflakes from JoLee's and called it done.  PURRFECT!

I'm also adding this to the SUYP October Furrything Goes/optional Meowloween challenge and 2 Crafty Critter Crazies October AG w/critter.

  1. Wow, love all that shine from the holographic paper. Cute design and L*O*V*E that you did 'peaceful' and not just 'peace'.

  2. I'm not sure it is possible to have a peaceful Christmas with 5 frolicking felines around (like in your card) but they do all have to cozy up and sleep at sometime. Love that paper and the shine it gives. Cool stuff!

  3. Good job....that holographic paper is very nice...not something we see often. :)

  4. Beautiful with the holographic background and I like how you change Peace to Peaceful.

  5. Oh my goodness! That holographic paper is out of this world! If I had something like that I'd probably hoard it waiting for that 'extra special' card to come along. I see your 'extra special' card DID come along.... fabulous!

  6. Oh I really like this, Donna! The holographic effect looks awesome! Love all the kitties and snowflakes too!

  7. This is really cute! I love that collection of kitties! "Peaceful" is exactly how I feel when I see all my kitties sound asleep on the bed!
    Take Care!

  8. WoW ! That is fabulous and just a purr-fect match to that inspiration photo. Love the shine and tons of kitties :-)
Thank you very much for coming to play at SUYP Cats Challenges :-)

  14. Gosh, Donna, I don't know where to start. I adore the cats on your project and am so glad you entered it into our challenge at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies! But I'm also commenting on the Cat Lovers Hop entries so ...

  15. Pretty colors! Beautiful card!

  16. Love this Donna - how clever to make peace into peaceful and I'm loving the holographic card!

  17. Donna, that is the perfect paper to go with that card. It is gorgeous.

  18. Donna, this is absolutely INSPIRED!! I am honored that you are using part of my blog name in this completely gorgeous card. Oh, my....what a lovely take on the inspiration photo. I have holographic paper, but have never made anything that approaches this stunningly beautiful creation you have here.
