Yipes, Stripes! at Dilly Beans
It's Friday again already. Do you believe it? Time for a new challenge at Dilly Beans. This one is easy peasy, STRIPES. I've used one of the fab new images, #540 Owl Always Love You. He was so much fun to color. Love his stripey feathers and tatooed wings. My color combo came from the fab striped DP from Heidi Grace which looked great on the Kraft card stock. I printed the image twice so I could fussy cut the eye and pop it. I added a clear epoxy sticker for some shine. Then just a few adhesive beads and I was done. Pop over to the Challenge Blog a bit later for more DT inspiration and come and join us.
This is incredible I love the colors the design of the owl is just amazing. Thank you for joining my DL.ART Thankful Thursday #104 Birds, anything to do with birds challenge DIANA L. http://dianamlarson.blogspot.com
Wow Donna, I love this, the colours are fantastic, I love that owls were seen as harbingers of doom in the medieval times. I really like the layout and addition of the gems xx
Oh, this is cool! Kinda has a zentangle thing going on. Now this is my kind of coloring...nice small areas, one at a time. I'm such a lightweight :) I like how you kept the owl in the brown family and then added the color to the "tattoos"... FAB 'n FUNKY!
I'm so happy you came to visit and share in my crafting adventures. I hope in doing so you are inspired. I would love to hear your comments and I'm happy to share my designs for your personal use, but please do not submit them for contests or publication or copy them for any commercial venture.
I've always loved crafting, even as a little girl. My inspiration was my Daddy who was a wonderful artist and made beautiful 3-D Valentines for my teachers in grade school. Although I love all kinds of crafts I haven't had a real focus since abandoning counted cross stitch back in the 80's. Until I got my Cricut that is. Now I'm a blissfully retired card maker and papercrafter married 36 years to a wonderful guy with two furbabies, Goliath and Jezebel. Everyday I look forward to dreaming up designs and playing in my craft room. I invite you to share in my adventures.
