Happy day before VD. We're still in the LOVE mode at HDH and this week the theme is Love Lies Bleeding. Let me be the first to say this wasn't my original idea but I sooo adore these Alice in Zombieland stamps from Spesch Designer Stamps and I've been DYING to use them, sooo... This one in particular reminds me of the first time David took me home to meet his folks. Sat down to dinner and his Mom said "I hope you like rabbit." HUH? Well, fortunately she'd Shake and Baked it and it honestly DID taste like chicken, but... Unfortunately, the next day she had my future hubby go wring the necks of a few others and skin and butcher them right in the back yard. Ummm...
So here's a close up of Alice holding the head of the White Rabbit. She's colored with Copics in Valentine colors and I've added a butchered bunny body drawn by me. (I know, don't quit my day job...oh, that's right, I don't HAVE a day job! LOL) The fab DCWV Madly in Love DP was still lying on my desk from a previous project. Added a bit of blood spatter from the Inky Dreams (retired) set from Smeared Ink as well. The gorgeous Heart Doily is a die from The Scrapping Cottage.
So where's the love? Inside, of course. The sentiment is a dollar stamp from M's on a background of bunny massacre from more of the Inky Dreams (retired) set from Smeared Ink. The Minions have more brooding darkness than I this week so go have a look HERE. In the meantime I'm also entering this in the Stamp Scrap and Doodle Saturdays Red, White and Pink challenge , the Daring Cardmaker's Pretty Hearts and Paper Doilies Challenge, and Cute Card Thursday (Well, I think it's cute!) Pink Valentine Challenge.
The front looks fantastic but then you go inside and it just gets even better xx
ReplyDeleteOMG - poor bunny - how could you ???!!!!! LoL Great Alice image and I love this creation :-D xxx
ReplyDeleteROFL!!!!! This is freaking awesome - so much so, that I had to go buy the Spesch Alice in Zombieland digis. All of them. hee hee You inspire me! :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteDonna you are getting a little too good with this gore, it's kinda scary, ROFL. You did a fantastic rabbit corpse, it truly looks like part of the stamp. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI have to tell you, that is one of my fave stamps from Spesch! and what a fun card you've made with it! love it! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is precious.....I love these little dark cards. I have to admit, I grew up with fried rabbit on Sunday dinner. I couldn't do that now but it was the way of things "way way back then:"...and believe me, it was WAY back.
