Think GREEN at The Cuttlebug Spot

This week at The Cuttlebug Spot we're going green. We're honoring the Irish, and although our cards didn't need to be for St. Patty's Day, I thought it would be great to finally break out my Celtic Knot folder. I cut a square out of the center with my Nesties and made a scalloped frame for the adorable little image I found at Living Locurto.com. I'm still practicing with my MS punch around the page punches (this one only took me 2 tries, WOOHOO!) and I embossed this pretty mat with none other than Swiss Dots. Pretty simple, I just added a fluffy bow and a glitter foam shamrock from M's that I got when shopping with my dear friend Lillie. BTW, Lillie now has her Cricut and Cuttlebug covers available for sale on her fabulous STORE (along with her gorgeous cards) so go check it out! Also be sure to stop by The Cuttlebug Spot to see the FABULOUS cards by my DT sisters. They pulled out all the stops this week! AND, if you leave a comment you may win a gift certificate from Custom Crops.

  6. Great job, Donna! So much detail. I love how you used the MS punch and the embossing folder to create your matte. I think you've got that punch down pat! Such a relaxing color palette! It's almost Spring in IL - supposed to hit 50 on Sunday!

  7. Well, girlfriend, you nailed the challenge for this week. Love the diffent color palette you used, as I find that green by itself can be boring. I must get that MS punch, and you have got the hang of punching around the page down. The image is just adorable and you framed it perfectly. Thanks for the shout out and for just being my friend!

    Love ya' much!

  17. What a terrible friend I am! I totally missed this one and it's definitely one I wouldn't want to miss. Then again, I feel that way about ALL of your cards. That image is just adorable, Donna. Love the look of the punch around the page with the swiss dots. They look like they were made for each other. I'd still like to know how you cut that embossed celtic knot out so perfectly.
