My true love gave to me,
Four skeletons,
Three black cats,
Two trick or treaters
and an owl in a rotten oak tree.
I'm so excited to have been invited to participate in the fabulous 12 Days of Halloween Simply Betty Stamps event. Visit the SBS Blog to see the daily prizes up for grabs. Unlike last year when you had two or three days to complete your projects, this time around you have until the 30th of October to upload all your projects for all the 12 Days. Play a little, or play a lot. Of course each day will have it's own linky, and you must upload your projects accordingly. Each project must be a new project. On the 30th, all links will close, Betty and the DT will take one week to sort out the winners and announce them on Nov. 5th. There will be several winners, but one person that enters ALL 12 days and is best of the best will be chosen to be a part of the SBS DT for 2012!
I've used the fabulous Draco the Ghost Gent, one of the Steampunk Victorian Halloween stamps. Isn't he a dapper dude? He's colored with Copics and cut and matted with Nesties Mega Ovals. The skellies are a Tim Holtz stamp that I've heat embossed with white opaque embossing powder, fussy cut and arranged in an underlined "4". (Hope you caught that. I had an extra, what can I say? Personally I think Draco looks like a skellie but DH said no because he has a chin. HUH?)
They're popped for dimension as well as the fab Draco. the papers are DCWV Le Crema and K&Co. The little swirls on the corners are the off cuts from an EK Success border punch. The SBS DT has more gorgeous examples and there's plenty of time to catch up on the previous day's offerings as well. Visit the SBS Blog HERE to be amazed and inspired.
He's just wicked Donna! Thanks soooo much for joining us this week!!

ReplyDeleteDraco is awesome and I think skeletons have chins (sorry DH). Fun use of the TH skeleton stamp too!

Wow, love the colouring, such an awesome monochromatic and spooky card.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the Simon Says Stamp and Show win, loved the gargoyle.
Hi Donna,Your card is really spooky!AWESOME job with it,LOVE all the COOL details!!Have a SUPER day my friend!!:)
ReplyDeleteDonna, I think your card is awesome! I thinkit's really funny that not only did we both use Draco, but we colored him so similarly! I get what you mean about the underline...but I still think this card is outta the park awesome!
ReplyDeleteHalloween ideas are all part of fiction, i think it doesn't have any positive effect children thoughts unless it always keep them live in an imaginary world.

Wooohoooo we are finally working together (sort of) I have been invited too! Such a great job with the skeletons. Loving what you did with Draco. DH is semi-right, a chin can not be sustained by a skellie when putting on a victorian scarfy looking tie and vest. Lol. So funny. x
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE your brain! LOL! This is fabulous, Donna! I saw the underlined four as soon as I looked at your card. And it looks amazing! And Draco would make a wonderful date to a Halloween night party!
ReplyDeletehugs, Sharon
Flipping awesome! I totally envy the way you pull off the black and white. I am so intimidated by it. LOVE the dimension on the card , and the way your arranged the skelotons.
ReplyDeleteWicked card, Donna! Draco is actually quite handsome in a goulish sort of way! Great card! hugs!
ReplyDeleteHi Donna! One glimpse at dapper Draco and I had to leave a comment on this card! He is definitely stylish and elegant, and your card just adds to that theme. The number "4" created with TH skellies...PURE GENIUS!!! Love this card and everything about it! Hugz, Cheryl
ReplyDeleteOh, I do so love your cards. THey always make me laugh and always impress me with your designs. Keep it up as I always need a laugh.
ReplyDeleteFabulous! Love the black and white and the way you formed the 4 with the skeletons. Great card!
ReplyDeleteGREAT CARD, and I love the 12 Days verse, too cute! I think he is part skellie, part ghoul! After all, those pants wouldn't hang the same way if there were only bones in there, lol! Love the skellie 4, it's all in the details! The monochrome grays really work too, and I love Betty's Steampunk characters. I have the other two sets, love them!
